Tabbuli Grill Review

I went with my whole family. Our servers name was Chance and he was perfect he made us feel welcome and made the night an enjoyable experience. The drinks were great! We will return on our next trip...

Well horrible bar service, took a while for the bartenders to recognize me standing there waiting to be served. Plus saw one of the mgrs out at another bar later in the week and told him about it and he didn't care plus he was very rude to me outside of Tabbuli hate to see how he would react in he's place of work. Just plain horrible customer service and I will not be back.

Their falafel was amazing. It was cold when we went, but the heaters were on and that was nice. Our waiter was friendly. I wasn't a huge fan of the tabbuli salad, it was too minty. But the falafel was great. My husband had the gyro and he was very happy with it.. The black raspberry martini drinks like liquid candy. Good for one, but that's it.. I bet in the summer it is a great place. They are a little expensive. But was worth a visit

Went up to the bar to order a drink and the bartender that was there said sorry I m not your sever and then proceeded to get the lady s drink that was standing right next to me. Which I don t understand. Bartenders and waitresses are very unprofessional. This place still continues to show why I hardly come here anymore. Trust me everyone there are a lot better bars to go downtown then Tubulis.

Not the best experience I've had...drinks were overpriced but the fries are A-1!

I thought this place was going to be amazing due to the reviews... but little did I know the female bartenders are very rude and don't know how to do their job the bartender i had wednesday night was rude because i tipped her 10 dollars even after she overpriced me all night and was very rude and made work a personal life and was texting my friend telling them to tell me to tip more. I will never come here again.

The food was delicious but the prices are a bit high. I don t know that I could recommend a place that charges $30 for a lunch.

Literally the worst service I have encountered in Charleston. On multiple occasions. Needs new management. Food is mediocre. This is all disappointing, because otherwise the place has a cool vibe. I like the open air atmosphere and music. The staff and service just ruins it.

The food is not Lebanese or anything, just the names of it :( i went with my family hoping to eat middle eastern food and couldn't finish our plates .

Food was subpar and service wasn t the best or the worst. A solid 2.5 experience. We also had to fix our hookah to work better.

Great food! Lived in Bahrain for two years and this is the best Mediterranean food ive had since. Jordanian owned too....one of the best arabic countries in terms of pro america and friendly people!

Zero stars if I could. They ran us off for sitting in chairs in a section they weren't serving from, but we got our drinks from the bar and had to get out of the strobe lights. Rediculous. Good thing it's Charleston and there are plenty of great places to go!

My truck broke down while helping an employee, these came out with no problem to help... Never been in this restaurant but if the service is this grand ......I must check out !....Truly love those gentlemen

Service was horrible. Very heavyset Caucasian female waitress with black dress and black sneakers gave us a dirty wet table. We asked her to clean it she got an attitude and walked off. We saw her talking about us with another employee... we walked out... I think it's a racist issue... simulate situation happened to 2 if my friends on 2 different occasions...

The hookah is good. The DJ is amazing. Good drinks and service. Always seems to be packed. Parking can be a bit of a pain.

Told they can make any drink in Charleston failed at a transfusion and a bourbon with a splash of ginger. More like ginger with a splash of bourbon. Food was better than expected after debacle of drinks. Didn t even have banana liquor on a 4th of July weekend that goes in half of there drinks.

Terrible. For starters, the service was poor. Everywhere I looked, there were employees, and there were only a couple tables besides ours that were actually full of people, and it still took awhile for the waitress to check on us, or grab our check at the end of the night. From what I saw, the employees were only interested in talking to each other, rather than serving the customers.

Secondly, they advertise hookah, but it's $30 for one bowl, which lasts maybe 45 minutes. As someone who has worked at a hookah bar before, $30 is way overpriced for something that wasn't even sub-par. There was tin foil lining the inside, which made it impossible to smoke. When I asked if I could get a different hookah, and keep my bowl, they told me it would be another $30, just to have them change it out. If I'm paying $30 for a hookah, I should be able to get anything that I want in it or from it. They do not pack the bowls right, and they do nothing else to help you with the hookah besides set it on to the table.

After all that, my bill was still closing in on $100. I will never be going here again, and if you are looking for a good place to smoke hookah, this is not it. I urge you to try and find somewhere else, or just buy your own, as it would be cheaper and more worth it. Take it from someone who has experience in the hookah area.

It was a great atmosphere and entertainment; however, I'd recommend more heaters for the customers along the edge of the patio. Heaters at the bar only were not keeping us warm. Highly recommended, though.

Tabbuli is a unique counterculture experience in the downtown Charleston area. It combines fantastic Mediterranean food, interesting hookah options, and all the music and lights of a night club to create a fantastic weekend experience.

The versatility of the place is astounding. During the day it is a relatively quiet and peaceful place, perfect for a date and some authentic Mediterranean food. In the evenings, the heatlamps on the open patio turn on and the bright lights turn up, with great music and a real party vibe. From time to time they host drag shows, and boast with pride for the local LGBTQA+ community.

The hookah menu has many interesting combinations to try. I personally have tried things like 'Island Life', 'Energizer', 'Sweet Dreams', and at least three other flavors. The only downside is that the hookah at Tabulli runs an average of $10-$15 more than a normal hookah bar with the exact same shesha.

All in all though, a great experience and a fun place to spend a Friday night.

My husband and I love coming here! Good food and good hookah. Harper (server) always goes above and beyond for service as well so love our experience when he serves us. There are always events going on so it s a great place to come with friends. 5 stars! Just be aware that this is outdoors so dress appropriately.

If you go late at night, the dj is great, and it gets pretty crowded. Check the weather for rain ahead of time though since most of the place is not covered.

Food was decent .. bathrooms were not so great. It was nice to sit outside and be able to smoke. But it took forever to get our food. There was only one person in our group who had food that needed to be cooked. The rest of us ordered hummus or salads.

Excellent menu options and a really fun, welcoming environment. Ask for Katie as your server! She was awesome.

This place is amazing and comfortable. So nice to find a place that offers hookah. On top of that, the food was incredible. We had a lot of fun here. Would recommend!

Best Mediterranean food in Charleston. The Hookah is pricey, though I am tempted to try some of the flavors at Happy Hour.

Came during Covid, Charleston was very empty but we were thrilled to find this place open and the food was delicious! Light and refreshing and authentically Mediterranean!

Honestly what delicious and fresh food!!!!!! I absolutely love it, I get the lamb Gyro with Jerusalem salad and it is so good I can't stand it. The best $10 you could spend. Soooooo Fresh!! It even feels healthy/

Experience was good. Staff was friendly. We had a large crowd. They have other options pn the menu if you are not into Mediterranean food. Laid back and relaxing atmosphere. You are right next to charleston city market as well.

I got harassed because I didn't tip enough... I already tipped 10 but that clearly was not good enough for this young lady... I am absolutely fuming about the way I got treated, and when I say I will NEVER go back, I WILL NEVER go back to that place... I won't even recommend this place to my worst enemy.

Highly recommend this place if you're looking for an awesome spot to start the night or looking for a chill spot to relax. Shannon was an awesome hostess.

Stopped by yesterday with some friends and were greeted by a cheerful server named chance, he knew what he was talking about and explained about the daily special being only $5 and they have a new wing buffet for just 11 we will definitely be coming back, but we want Chance as our server! Amazing service!!

Fantastic food, atmosphere and employees. Jay, master mixologist, was a perfect host and made us feel like we were family!! My friend Ellen recommended this to us for brunch on Sat or Sun and she was right. We will return many times over!!!

The food was fantastic and Alyssa( my server) had outstanding service. I felt like i was a part of the Tabulli family because of her. Highly Recommend everyone to stop by here and try the Deep Fried Eggplant.

This place was great. Every employee I saw had on a mask. Great little chill spot. The drinks were great and the hookah. Food was absolutely delicious as well. I ll be returning very soon.

This place was so good I came back the next day! Loved the hookah, great music, good atmosphere and incredible staff! One of my favorite spots in Charleston

Usually I'm just picking up from Ubereats. But there always busy. And they have a very nice patio area. They do also have hookahs if you are into that whole thing. Very unique atmosphere.

This may be a cool hangout place, but's not a good restaurant. Small portions, a 3.5% surcharge on card payment, and barely edible tabbouli. Isn't that the name of the place?

Stumbled upon this gem and was hesitant to
order food as it looked like a night club with hardly any customers. Took the dive and ordered two pita falafels which were Awesome! Great food, just need clean menus and to clean up the place a little.

I must say, this place is fantastic. Very good vibes and excellent service. I'd like to personally thank Haley for serving me. She's very outgoing and overall seems like a wonderful girl and if you plan on going, I recommend going on nights that she works. I promise that you'll be satisfied with her services. I know I'll be back just for her services.

Had a great experience. The prices were incredible for the quality. Had the shrimp & grits & the special jerusalem croissant for lunch. Very good.

1This place really suck I tried to huikau and had no flavor they change the flavor that still had no flavor they changed it again So I reverted to have some drinks I order to marggherita's when I put him on the counter I took a sip offer one Facebook after I get to my table I take another Sit they charge me $30 For 2 margarines period OMG!! First time in Charleston! The chicken pita wrap is bursting with flavor! Chance our server was great!

Fantastic atmosphere that used not to exist anywhere in Charleston. The hookah flavors are plentiful and the service is pretty good. They had belly dancers the last time I was there.

I enjoy this place everytime i come here i have a great time i always get Chance and he is always fast friendly gets my order right everytime. Hes the best one i have had here.

This place was awful for me. The dollar mimosas tasted like sour expired orange juice. I got the tabbuli salad because a picture on the menu looked great. Surprise to me, had no lettuce, was only this disgusting (what seemed like 2 day old) parsley and mint smushed together. Horrible.
