Tabbuli is a unique counterculture experience in the downtown Charleston area. It combines fantastic Mediterranean food, interesting hookah options, and all the music and lights of a night club to create a fantastic weekend experience.

The versatility of the place is astounding. During the day it is a relatively quiet and peaceful place, perfect for a date and some authentic Mediterranean food. In the evenings, the heatlamps on the open patio turn on and the bright lights turn up, with great music and a real party vibe. From time to time they host drag shows, and boast with pride for the local LGBTQA+ community.

The hookah menu has many interesting combinations to try. I personally have tried things like 'Island Life', 'Energizer', 'Sweet Dreams', and at least three other flavors. The only downside is that the hookah at Tabulli runs an average of $10-$15 more than a normal hookah bar with the exact same shesha.

All in all though, a great experience and a fun place to spend a Friday night.
