Rude staff, limited stuff, clumsy place.. Rates too not impressive.
Walmart, real Canadian, Dollarama are much better.
I love buying the hot meals they have to offer especially the soya chicken, the bbq pork, and the hot meals. If you like to learn Arabic and English language, check my channel at YouTube under Myra el Masraya channel. It's free.
I like T&T market sometimes it offer loads of stuff the the asian house hold meets all their needs also meets cultural appreciate needs as well.
A bit smelly with all the different foods. Great shopping
Meh. If you're looking for Asian groceries there are many other shops in the general area with better prices, and you won't have to wait in line for 15 minutes.
Don't even bother going here on a Sunday. I've walked around shopping for 20 minutes only to discover that the lineup is 30 minutes long. 2 minutes to put my items back and head to Assi down the road.
If you are looking for asian stuff like seasonings and noodles or asian products that are hard to find in others stores, you should definitely check T&T as they have lots of asian products. I also love that they have the deli dept. with lots of delicious dimsums and asian dishes.
Gets a bit busy and crazy, but offers a great array of Asian food and supplies from all over the region.
usually we would do our vegetarian groceries here. it's a bit cheaper than Superstore. $50 for 1roller basket.
we usually just buy: baby/organic/regular carrots, green onions, brown/white/shitake mushrooms, purple/white/small onions, garlic, green beans, potatoes, cucumbers, cauliflower, yellow/purple yam, soft/hard/medium/dessert tofu, hot simple/unique/1day/artisan/Filpino bread, soy sauce, rice, fruits, and others. i also bought here a 34inch pan cover for $6.
there are things that i wouldn't want to buy here but are still here: technology, books, asian snacks, seafood, meat, avocado, pots, pans, bottled drinks, beauty products, spreads, jelly, flowers, and such.
there's also "fastfood" like sushi, hot chinese food, bubble tea, and such.
-1 just because they don't really offer a variety of products. so you can expect them to give you the usual grocery things.
best things that make this place ideal is cheap groceries by what we listed above. they have a bit of things but not all.
You can find everything here! From groceries to to-go foods and drinks! They are stepping up their to go section with cheap/convenient/delicious selections such as bbt and fresh fruit teas. Some bbt stores charges around $6-7 bucks and here at T&T it comes with a reusable bottle too! Their points system is not the greatest when you earn one point for every $20 and you can redeem points for things. Points system wise I prefer superstore/shoppers for cash redemption!
Some of the staffs are impolite. I wonder that is one of the weaknesses of Asian supermarket.
Fruits and veggies there are always fresh and have big varieties
Difficult to find what you want in the aisles. Good vegetable selection but sometimes the seasonal fruits are overpriced.
The staff there has a hard time understanding what you need so it's best to show them a picture on your phone.
For Western foods and ingredients, they either don't carry it in stock or if they do have it, it'll be higher in price.
They have a good selection of rice.
Asian supermarket with fresh fruits vegetables meats and seafood available everyday. Reasonable prices too.
Not the first time I got expire, or close to expire products there. Other than that great selection.
Crowded, lack supervision of shoppers and re-stocking staff to keep physical distance. Hand sanitizers or wipes are lacking. Perhaps managing staff to checkout how other superstores carried out their responsibilities to keep shoppers and staff safe during this critical time.
You can find many Asian items. But sometimes really crowed and the price is not cheaper than other superstore. If you wanna find something you used to eat from Asia, you should go there.
Advantages: 1. There are many types of goods
2. The seafood is quite fresh
Disadvantages: 1. Sometimes you see exactly the same thing in Superstore but it's a lot more expensive
2. Some of the discounted food in the cooked food department is really stale and even sour.
okay oriental market, was better prior to loblaw takeover
Why from 4 stars to 1?
Some employees here dont seem to know basic social etiquette or speak English.
I hope this changes
A lot of variety of fresh foods. Love the ability to get fresh fish, and meat. Deli section is always deliciously stocked with Asian foods
A large Asian grocery store Loblaws bought them a few years back so there are some PC things sometimes but don't expect to be able to use your PC optimum card there.
Fresh from the north and the south, the samples are complete, only you can't think of it, nothing you can't buy.
Packed. Both with groceries, and people. Excellent selection of fresh seafood and just about anything you could need Asian related.
Extremely unfriendly staff & poor customer service; dirty shopping carts.
It's got pretty much everything you need. I go there occasionally for meals if I'm eating alone or for work. Great fresh fish!
Friendly staffs. Good food. However they charge for every bag.
His place used to be great but since superstore took over it all went downhill.
My favorite Asian market. Reasonable prices, fresh veggies that you can not find any where else. The meat/fish market has a variety of good quality meat items as well. I am though very disappointed and totally surprised that they closed down thier pharmacy recently (Nov 2020). The pharmacists were exceptional workers and they will be missed. They did not notify any of their customers that were in the system that they closed. The so called poster outside the store is not good enough for those of us who do not shop there on a regular basis.
Many items are overpriced and the hot food combo is average in taste, bland, and not very flavorful.
Great selection of fresh, frozen, and packaged asian groceries.
If you have time Hot food is a good deal, they just all work really slow.
This store is great for find the hard to find Asian foods and I love the fish and meat market.
T&T got everything I need, it makes me think of home when I walk in
Mostly Asian and sea food. Free parking. Lots of choices.
Best place to buy Asian groceries, vegz, fruits, frozen and baked goods. Also for fresh and frozen array of fishes.
The security staff don t even bother let people in the line up know that they need to have mask to get in. People will only find out after standing in the line for 15-20 minutes. Very rude and aggressive security and clearly crappie management. That was my first and last time shopping at your store. I m a regular customer at West Vancouver T&T and I d suggest you guys ask for some customers service tips from this location manager! They offer mask to every customer who does not have one instead of yelling at them and kick them out of store because of not wearing mask! Also your signage should be located at the end or middle of the line up, not by the entrance. People have to wait in line and waist almost 20 minutes till they see the sign.
How could I think of buying mustard tuber to buy smelly
Even if I can't identify 90% of the products on the shelves, I just can't beat the selection of mushrooms and seafood here. For a quick snack, go directly to the checkout area where you'll find a huge variety of fresh, pre-made dishes and baked goods. Stunning selection!
I love t&t !! There s a lot of things that you won t find anywhere else ! And also the bubble tea !! Is the cheapest one I have found in lougheed and the best one for far ! I have bought bubble tea from so many places , where I end paying about 6 for just one and when I drink it is really awful!!! But here they have good price and is so delicious !! I hope they never change that!!
Very nice Chinese supermarket, things are very full!
Busy!!! But if you need that specific ingredient for your cooking, it's okay.
The variety of products here are awesome, especially for customers looking for south eastern Asian groceries. Don't get me wrong, they provide average western groceries too. They have fresh fishes and sea catches everyday. You can find cooked foods and really local taste Chinese snacks at their kitchen corner. But I do find that their produces department is a kind of lacking, not impressive enough in terms of price/freshness balance(comparing with Crystal Mall that is). Their variety of fruits are awesome though. Overall, a wonderful place for asian groceries shopping.
One of my favourite T&Ts. Although not the biggest but always stocked and organized.
Great variety and has a lot of Asia products that are hard to find elsewhere. A bit inconsistent with stock sometimes.
Fresh, produce, seafood, and meat selections at competitive prices, but you really come here for the Asian products. Most popular Asian food items can be found here.
cannot find it in the underground parking lot. no sign at all.
Nice selection of Asian foods but there was no dill to be found anywhere.
Not all employees speak English but that also adds to exorcism! A lot of non-mainstream products...
Making people to buy mask for 1 dollar is not cool. It's really a quoter and if you choose to make it mandatory why not do it Wholefoods way - just give it to your customer since it's your decision
Excellent place to grab some quick asian food, plus, there's plenty of white boy stuff in the actual supermarket area, a solid one-stop place for groceries & dinner.
You can get practically everything you need for Asian cooking at this great supermarket
Probably one of the cleaner TnT's around. Everything is quite neat and organized. However, it is quite small compared to the Metrotown and the Chinatown ones. There is paid parking, but I believe you get reimbursed when you purchase over $20?
