Large space, which means large selection of goods. However, it is also really busy. Parking is very difficult here, and there are lots of crowds. Produce can be hard to navigate.
Nice supermarket if you don't go during the "supermarket rush hours"... Also, do your homework before you shop! At the end, they have to make money too...
I'm less home sick because of this place. It has everything I want, except cookie dough. Haha
T&T Supermarket is a Canadian supermarket chain that sells Greater China and Asian food. It employs 4,000 people across Canada. Founded in 1993, T&T currently has 20 stores in Greater Vancouver, British Columbia, Calgary and Edmonton in Alberta, and Toronto, Ontario. Datuk has four logistics centers, three in the Greater Vancouver area and one in Toronto.
I was already a client in Surrey, when I moved to Burnaby I was very happy to meet in Metrotown. It's big and clean place with lots of options. I like to buy sushi, sashimi and rolls for lunch.
The location is in the mall, it is not difficult to find, if you need to take a bus to leave, pay attention to the bus time
the beauty department staff was extremely rude. (i was visited around 1pm-2pm, she wearing black glasses)
i asked some product about they has stock or not.
she cut me off in the middle of what I was saying. this is very impolite to customer. and she didn't check stock. anyway if customer ask about the stock, she have to check stock even if she mimicking.
This supermarket is always full of shoppers. What I like most in this store is the display of delicious and moderately priced take-away meals. Today, there were various rice dumplings on display..getting ready for the Dragon Boat Festival this coming June 2019. And the only supermarket Ive been to so far here, with a Durian Musang King coffee!
Its an ok store got some smoothies here thats about it
My go to grocery store. Large selection on Asian staple veggies, with decent price. Asian snacks. And probably one of the biggest selection of noodles anywhere outside of asia. And love the BBQ duck and lamb from their deli area.
Great Asian supermarket. Lots of selection. Always busy. Good prepared food selection.
Go only if you got too much time. Almost 5 minutes to get out of it. That's when I didn't buy anything
T and t is always a good place to buy authentic Asian food.
huge selection of asian products, reasonable prices
Pricy but they are the best place to find asian good in metrotown. They also have a TD atm near the entry.
Free covered parking. cc accepted. Supermarket features fresh produce and fruits, grocery items, meat/seafood service counters, prepared food service counter, bakery, skincare products. Standard T&T. Standard layout. Standard customer service. No complaints.
The goods are all-inclusive, the place is big, the seafood is also there, and the price is not expensive.
Its really hard to find someone to help find an item
Little hard to find. It's inside the Metropolis Mall. They have a variety of food, very authentic Asian food, you can find almost everything, Hing Hong local cuisine, northern Chinese dishes, roasted chicken and BBQ pork, Japanese sushi and rice bowl. Also their ready to eat section is insanely popular. Lots of people lining all the time. I feel that probably this T and T can expand their cooked food section so that people can save some time when ordering.
I know lots of friends actually don't eat in the restaurant, instead, they go to this grocery store. I actually go there more often than before because there just so many options to eat.
Except the location being hard to find plus the long line of waiting in the food section, I would definitely give out 5 stars.
A very busy Chinese supermarket in a very busy mall. They have good sales and lots of Asian snacks. If fresh seafood is your thing then this place have swimming fish, crawling crabs to lounging oysters. Don't come here to buy potatoes or a can of Campbells soup cause it will probably be over priced. Do come for fruits and exotic Chinese vegetables cause that's what they cater to. Sushi, bbq meats and ready cooked Chinese foods are cheap so don't ask me about quality or taste cause I'm not going to bother rating it. This store is busy and very Asian so if you don't like being the minority and not speak the language don't come here.
Best place to get fresh seafood in Burnaby. Bakery/deli area is worth looking at too.
Everything under one roof... So convienent cos can get most Asian food here..
Great place for fresh produce and east indian items.
Rich in commodity items, all the meat and dried sand tea that you want to eat when you are guilty of homesickness
A great place to go tonic you want to have more options for Asian food.
A supermarket with huge selection of products, always my favourite place to go shopping
Professional and clean store. Large variety of Asian stuff available. Ice-cream stall is a must visit.
Meat section staff are not helpful. Not very professional if you speak Chinese with co-workers in front of customers who dont speak the language.
The workers who man sample tasting booths are extraordinary. If you buy a lot, they will worship you like you are God and serve you with lots of free samples. If you are only for taste test, they will ignore you and rudely recite something like cheap price cheap price on sale on sale . The groceries have a wide variety, but they are usually very unfresh. When there is a discount on kiwis, they are either hard as rock or soft and liquid. The watermelons here are the worst. They are either overripe or white inside. The pork (other than ribs) always give a horrible smell once you cook them. I recommend going to Superstore or Crystal mall for fresh groceries.
Wonderful place to get quick dim sum, pastries, Vietnamese sandwiches, and Chinese food in general.
Very convenient as there are all kind of foods (raw, cooked, local, imported[mainly Asia], bakery and even medicine. One stop for everything. But some products are priced a bit high when comparing to nearby stores. Some staffs are impolite (I met one in the vegetables section).
Love this store! Moved here from Saskatchewan where they don't have a T&T Supermarket... so happy to be able to shop for such a wide variety of Asian foods.
My go to store for any Asain snack and ingredient related items. Can never walk out without purchasing something.
It's ok. Very busy. Water is cheap there though. Have to wear a mask to get in.
In addition to the Asian foods, love the fresh fish and crab selling there
If I go with someone who speaks Chinese it's not as bad. When I go alone I get treated like crap. To be fair, most cashiers are good but food service staff are rude and hand you packages covered in grease from their gloves. As a note, I flipped the bag inside out after removing the container and the inside was much cleaner than the outside. Today I ate something that must have had cloves in it because it's burning my mouth and tastes very bitter. I am not sure why this is in my rice and not so crispy pork dish. The portions are large, but when I get poor quality, not even a truck full of this stuff could make up for how inconsistent and terrible the service and quality is at this place. The price may not be expensive but the value is poor. This review is specifically for the metrotown location and does not reflect other locations like Tinseltown (they are much better).
Things are still quite a lot. It's a bit expensive, but a lot of things are only sold here, so it's okay to be expensive, and it's very affordable when you get a discount every week. However, pay attention to the date of production, and the discount may be expired soon. The young clerk is very good in both English and Chinese, and the attitude is also very good. Some older attitudes are emmmmmm. . . If you are a fast food, you are not recommended to buy it. The rice is very hard and you can't eat it. I don't know if it is a sandwich or a long time. The sushi at night is not too fresh. The side dish is not bad. Super recommended snail powder! Especially special, especially delicious, many things have been on the fire in the country, the speed is very fast, it is very powerful, there is spicy
Great selection of items. Many Asian food and other Asian products. Good place to shop
Really interesting place with a large seafood selection and decent prices. Cashier was super sweet too!
Great deals on produce and packaged goods, even home items and supplies. Hot food served here too.
Always busy cuz they have almost everything for an Asian supermarket. Price is usually higher and items are not the freshest. But again, they have almost everything .
tnt is the the best place for fresh grocery and Asia based food.It is super busy all the time and crowding with slow shoppers. Other then I enjoyed the service from this store more than the other tnt!
jane>> joeyu was also my cashier, i disagree with what you said i thought she was nice! The first thing she said said to me was hi and ask if i needed a bag. se scans really fast too, helped put my products after and offer bag to me when mine were to heavy, even said thank you when handingh receipt so i think your review is wrong or you misunderstand her because i also thought she was mad at first but after talking to her, she was so so sweet an helpful. i think she still young and just learning ! i come other tnt before and i think joey wasd one of the best so five stars for he,next time i go back iwill make sure shes my cashier again! Also to jane- if she never smile never say hello never ask if you need bag her bos would notice and she would be gone now but she still here which means she does do them right? Don t spend your time on hateful review next time about someone probably much younger than you and is newer to it:)
Beware, check prices and receipt. Often overcharge. Not an honest place to shop, pricing error more than 50% of the time...
This place was impressive, very good selection, prices where reasonable and not too long of a wait in line. Would have been a 5, but when I was looking for some particular vegetables the worker didn't speak much English and did not know what I was asking. A kind lady was nice enough to translate it foe me. Then I was asking for a specific can of coconut milk from a different staff and the also didn't understand what i was asking.
I really like this store; has yummy sweet desserts and tasteful patisserie.
If you're looking for Japanese goods and/or natural, organic food, then this is the place!
Has a pretty good selection of Asian goodies and food. Fresh bakery breads are cheaper at night, bundle in a pack of 7 at a very much discounted price!! Seafood are very fresh - we just had the clams and they were delicious overall, t&t has kept its standard of produce, poultry, meat, seafood selection.. excellent place to get groceries
place seems a bit too crowded at times some staff does not seem to speak much english but it is an asian supermarket i guess.
read some reviews here and hate to say this but @kim Lau if you had a good time here you wouldnt be giving out a 1 star right? I did actually notice the cashier you on about in my opinion she did give out an impression she is angry at you with that facial expression she has so maybe @jane was just speaking out her own experience. I dont know I never checked out on her counter but i see what @jane was saying you really should not be having an angry look on your face the entire time it does give the wrong impression to customers whether or not she is new i have never noticed the other cashiers look as angry as her even though they dont smile they dont look like they want to kill you but this cashier joey does look like she wants to kill you with her facial expressions
Clean place. Everything is easy to find. Staff is friendly.
There are a lot of cheap Asian products and ready-to-eat food.
