Venue is fine, process of security and entry caused the show to start over 30 minutes late while they tried to get people inside.

The barman downstairs need a course on customer service. He was rude and no manners.

The ushers have no idea what's going on. You'd be better off putting on a blindfold and finding your seat yourself because it will be more effective than asking someone. Also the interior is really old and the "bar" is cash only.

A real gem of a place, great live performances and films in a unique and historic setting. I hope Symphony Space, the Peter Jay Sharp Theatre and the Thalia keep thriving in the midst of encroaching development and big box monoculture and gentrification.

A great venue with comfortable seating. A little bit on the smaller side for a theater but it's very interesting that there is a little store in the lobby.

Good theater. I went there for coverage of a movie premier . Good place for media point of view . Press gallery is well equipped with all the facility fir video and audio equipment. Also good for public point of view . Enough space , seats are comfortable, audio system works good . Convenient location.

Fantastic free concert last night! This place is so amazing to have on the UWS.

A really nice, comfortable performance space with a cool bar. The staff was friendly and welcoming and the place seemed well-run. We did not care much for the "Selected Shorts" show we saw, but I would happily go back to see something else again at this venue-- nice to have a spot like this in the Upper West Side.

Symphony Space is a New York City treasure! My wife and I have been members for 15+ years and have enjoyed Selected Shorts, movies and concerts there. They have really expanded/broadened their offering and you see a lot more younger people in the audience. Definitely worth checking out their programming.

Loved the atmosphere and the show was "Sounds(?) of Sinatra. Had VIP tickets and sat at a table. Excellent show, great food.

Cool performance space but the procenium arches flanking the stage seemed to block more than expected. Hopefully the folks take that into account when staging their shows there. The seats in the balcony were angled for optimal viewing. And acoustics were good (although I couldn't tell you if it was amplified).

It it was great until dr. Ruth came on... That brought the whole show down... Matthew is so contemporary and dr. Ruth is so in the past... Matthew doesn't need any help... He was fabulous on his own and his body language showed how uncomfortable he was as the show was not going in the direction he wanted it to go... Beginning video at the start of the show was great! Video on his Resort needs to be updated as it did not seem as professional as one would expect it to be... Needs new marketing team! Keep up the good work Matt... You're helping so many people!

It was my first time in the stage area of Symphony Space. I was impressed that the seating and the climate control were comfortable and the acoustics were quite good.

In the George Harris Show, Venezuelan comedian, excellent room, the sound very good, spacious and organized.

It was my first experience attending a show at this venue and I absolutely loved it! The atmosphere was amazing and during intermission, you can mingle with other attendees as well as purchase wine!

I like that this performing arts center is on the small side but it's big enough for what you need and not so overwhelming. The space is clean, inviting and even has a little lounge area if you need a drink and bite to eat. I love that the bathrooms are clean and spacious and there is a Starbucks next door.

It was really nice. The seats were comfortable and the coordinators were very proffesional. Also the bathroom was not as terrible as I thought it would be

Upper West side venue for eclectic mix of performances. The acoustics for live music are not very good.

Matthew Hussey's Myths of Love was held here. What a wonderful evening. What a beautiful old theatre.

A good space to have musicals recitals and the such, but the concession prices are very high.

There are many great performances that are held at Symphony Space. My wife and I recently went to The Best American Short Stories Of 2019 where three actors read three stories that were included in a recent anthology. The theater was packed and I sensed that the majority of the audience were frequent attendees of other events at the theater. Check out their website!

Beautiful theater, great sound system, nice place to see a performer or play, nice staff overall

This is a cute little theater. We sat in the balcony. While some of the seats have a limited view up there (you get a warning before buying a ticket), ours was perfect. Great sound quality. I especially like this venue for a kid's show, it is large enough to feel like a big show, but small enough to feel intimate. My only real criticisms would be, consider where you put the merch table- it jams up the door. Also, I think the meet and greet space was oversold.

Under 30 tickets for 20 bucks, for the same price of a movie we had a really fun night listening to kyle maclachlan read short stories. Seats were Row F. Small venue, everyone has a good view.

The Magnetic Fields were fantastic! The seats, not so much, uncomfortable....

Small intimate setting. Great place to hear live acts. We go to see Glenn Alexander and Oria Aspen Alexander every time they are there.

Wonderful music. Sound was good and bad at various parts of the songs. But wonderful execution (Orchestra Now).
