Sylvan Staff... you rock! My son has been attending this Sylvan location for a little over two years now & we are wrapping up a very long learning journey. We experienced one hiccup throughout his journey & it was nothing that clear communication couldn't clear up. I really appreciate the director Katie so so much! From the first day I walked in, not knowing which direction to go in. Katie was so kind, loving and honest & I knew I landed in the right spot. I say if you're looking for a positive, genuine , supportive atmosphere for your child to thrive in academically Sylvan in La Mesa is your saving grace. I appreciate you all so very much.

Sylvan has been a great resource for my 4th grader, who recently moved from a charter to a public school. The staff have been great, and the quick transition from on-site tutoring, to on-line tutoring was very smooth. Online tutoring helped transition to distance learning as our school was figuring out a plan.

I got help with a sponsor for my daughter. I am so extremely grateful. Thank you to the owner for her caring heart to help my daughter and I for finding a sponsor. Ms. Katie is a compassionate professional. She closely listened to my concerns and came through quickly. I appreciated the fact that my daughter had a this one tutor that wasn't compatible with her math studies and quickly found one that worked out. No time wasted, no bad feelings it all worked out. Mr. Paul is a great tutor. He shows patience and finds different ways to teach my daughter her math. He also makes her laugh and has built up her confidence. My daughter was failing math and was afraid of it. She would literally get sick. My daughter now has an A in math class and looks forward to working with her tutor. It's a rel9ef and joy to see my daughter not so afraid and stressing about math class. have told my daughter's school about Sylvan's. I have told other people about Sylvan's. I definitely will recommend everyone to have their child/children to give Sylvan La Mesa a try. You will not be disappointed.

Staff were very responsive and flexible with scheduling. Tremendous growth and progress in the kids' overall study habits and attentiveness!

My daughter who is 7th grade has started here and so far she is enjoying building relationships with her tutors and is taking this time seriously as she practices math skills and builds learning routines.

My son attended the center to further prepare for his SAT test. We are still waiting for his test results but I could definitely tell he went into the test with greater confidence. He had taken two sample SAT tests at the center. Katie worked very well with my son. I also appreciated all the time slot availabilities. Being a busy family they fit us in to their schedule because we had so many timeslots to choose from.

Providing detailed and informative data regarding my son's academic strengths and weaknesses. Since he started tutoring with Ms. Kathy, his fears and reluctance about writing have decreased; he loves to show off his new knowledge, and he only has good things to say about each session.

Our child s first grade teacher felt our child needed to be held back a year, we knew he had the potential to do more, just needed the right tools to complete the task. We reached out to Sylvan for guidance, and our needs and our child s needs were met at a level we did not know existed. Sylvans teachers and staff are beyond supportive, tailored our child s needs and met him at his level , and then encouraged him to excel and reach for more. He now loves sylvan and thinks of himself as a smart kid . His confidence is so wonderful to see, and he is more than ready for second grade now. I can t sing the praises of Sylvan enough.. worth every penny and hour spent . Thank you Sylvan !!

I have 3 kids 10,8, and 6 attending sylvan Center they have improved in English comprehension. My youngest was having trouble in learning her vowels and didn't want to attend school she is now excited and ready to go everyday. Staff is friendly and will work with you.

My son enjoys coming to Sylvan for reading help. We have noticed improvements and the reward system is motivating for him.
