Located above Mamba station, this hotel is conveniently placed. The facilities are excellent in this Western-style hotel with services including room in-room wifi and umbrellas available to borrow from the bell captain. Prices are on the higher side though and facilities like the gym are additional cost.

The location of the hotel is really very good. I stayed for 4 nights. The experience from check-in to check-out is great. I will choose here next time I come to Osaka.
Downstairs is the department store. The food sold by B1 is very delicious. You can go directly from B1 to the station in Kyoto, Nara.

Stayed here for a few nights and I thought the room was a little small and there appears to be lingering cigarette smoke smell that doesn't seem to go away. Otherwise, the experience was fuss-free though not fantastic. Location is fantastic with the famous Shinsaibashi and Dotombori nearby and very accessible from the airport via the Nankai line. Unfortunately we had the JR Pass and could only take the JR line to the JR Namba station which was a long walk away.

On my second visit. Great location Very good breakfast view. The diet is also edible for Japan. Good because there are many things to see around.
No request for an extra bed for children. Futon (cover) is provided for free. The amenity setting is weaker than the universal hotel. Very small toilet.
The price is wicked over the weekend. Especially on Sundays, which celebrate the Lunar New Year, there are a lot of Chinese tourists. So, the room was sold out. This hotel is also really barely noisy. (Problem: There is a problem of cleaning the coffee pot (only water cuts off).)

You know you're in a good place when there's a station right below the hotel. Airport transfers are easy too because it brings you straight to the hotel. Lots of restaurants nearby and the shopping district is a few meters away.

Bed is super comfortable. Washroom and room itself very spacious compared to other hotels. Decent selection of tv channels both English and Japanese. Luxury shopping located right below the hotel for easy shopping. Also located in prime Namba area with many things to do in the day and night. View from my room was absolutely amazing. Buffet breakfast was quality with an amazing view.. but a lil pricey. Wifi in the room is very good so far. Walking around in the lobby and other areas inside the hotel feels ritzy. Things that need work is somehow, the carpet in my room looked extremely cheap. Made the room look less quality. The water in my bathtub was luke warm at best... Whereas I like the option for hot water. The hotel is not close to a JR station.. So you will need to transfer and pay for other subway or trains which can be frustrating, especially if you are carrying a lot of luggage (useful tidbit if you are carrying a JR pass). The one thing that got me annoyed was that front desk wanted me to make a deposit for my full stay when I first checked including additional amenities - which I hadn't even used yet. I have checked into other 5 star hotels before and this is the first time I've been asked to do this. I didn't like the service checking in.. and the way / tone I was asked about depositing up front was frustrating. When I asked why, I was told it was policy. As this is a 5 star hotel, I expect the service in all aspects to match a 5 star. Due to the above frustrations, I rate the hotel a 3 out of 5. If you plan to explore Osaka and nearby places (Kyoto, Nara, Kobe) I would recommend looking around Shin Osaka station for a 4 / 5 star hotel for easier transportation, connections and better service.

Lobby and room were enough room size, twin room, but sofa does not have futon as it is folding bed, but there is not that we can not stay for three people (^ _ ^;)
Also, the night view is beautiful on both Shinsaibashi and Namba sides.

A sweets buffet that mixes autumn tastes such as chestnuts and pumpkins with red ingredients such as strawberries, raspberries, and apples that can enjoy the Christmas atmosphere is being held at Swissotel Nankai Osaka.

From November 3rd to December 30th, 2018, the sweets buffet limited to Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays will be transformed into a display of autumn leaves in November and a Christmas outfit in December!

Photo: Floating grass Yukinko

At "Tabora 36" at Swissotel Nankai Osaka, we hold a greedy sweets buffet where you can feel the taste of autumn and Christmas earlier than anywhere else.

Speaking of Christmas, after all bright red strawberries! A strawberry tart with big bright red strawberries greeted at the sweets buffet!

Photo: Floating grass Yukinko

Cassis Bavarian Entremets with gorgeous red cassis pay attention to the cream decoration! This cream is topped with pink and silver sugar confectionery and is full of gorgeousness!

Photo: Floating grass Yukinko

The texture of boiled apples and crispy walnuts is irresistible, and the tart of apples and dried fruits is just beautiful with golden apples!

Photo: Floating grass Yukinko

Speaking of sweets buffet, you want to take pictures that aim to look good on Instagram. Glass sweets are recommended at such times. It's very convenient because it can be served easily and cutely!

Not only the appearance but also the taste is outstanding! Montblanc glass with the sweetness of chestnuts is a must-see for chestnut lovers. The chestnut-like decorated cream is too cute!

Photo: Floating grass Yukinko

In addition to the taste of autumn, we also have a lineup of chocolate sweets such as chocolate fountains! If you like rich adult sweets, try chocolate mousse cake! Enchanted by the bitterness of cacao, the rich chocolate that melts into the mousse, and the crispy walnut mariage.

Photo: Floating grass Yukinko

Even if it's a sweets buffet, I want to enjoy food anyway! Sandwiches and salads made with Christmas-like ingredients are lined up in the food corner.

One push is smoked duck orange beet salad. There is no doubt that you will be very satisfied with the fashionable look and taste that you can't easily make yourself!

Photo: Floating grass Yukinko

A hearty smoked turkey sandwich is also recommended. Be careful not to overeat as you will be quite full!

Photo: Floating grass Yukinko

The unusual chocolate cinnamon soup is also a soup that chocolate lovers should try. The chocolate soup, which has a strong cinnamon aroma and taste, warms you from the core of your body. There are plenty of toppings such as nuts, so try making your own soup!

Photo: Floating grass Yukinko

The is refreshing ice cream. All-you-can-eat 4 types of popular American-born ice cream BEN & JERRY! What's more, all-you-can-eat sauces such as caramel, chocolate and strawberries, and toppings such as crushed nuts and chocolate sugar!

Photo: Floating grass Yukinko

Cold oranges, apple juice and tea are lined up at the drink bar, but hot drinks are ordered individually. All-you-can-drink espresso, latte, double chocolate cappuccino, etc.

I am glad that there are also herbal teas such as chamomile.

"Tabora 36", where the sweets buffet is held, is located on the 36th floor, the top floor of Swissotel Nankai Osaka.

You can see the tallest Abeno Harukas in Osaka, Tsutenkaku, and Namba, which is popular with tourists! Please enjoy the sweets buffet slowly in an open space.

It is very convenient because it is directly accessible from Namba Station. Osaka is hot and humid, and I was really happy because I was able to move right from the station. The breakfast was good but I was a bit sad about it. But again I would like to stay at a hotel in Osaka. I would like to recommend this hotel. If you ask, we recommend NANAI SWISSOTEL in the best location

A very good hotel in a convenient and accessible location, right atop of a major department store and train interchange. The service and amenities in this hotel were world class and very thoughtful.

My husband and I spent a lot of money to stay at this hotel because its supposed to be 5-star and in a great location. Location wise, yes this place is right downtown, its even on top of a train station, it doesn't get much more central then that.

However, when we get there they tell us they are all out of rooms with king size beds (which is what we paid for) and we have to stay in a room with 2 twin size beds. I have stayed at hotels that are not 5-star and normally rooms that come with two beds are QUEEN size, these were TWIN size, the same size a 5 year old sleeps on.

So we get to our room and the first thing I noticed were these big mirrors that were SO dirty, there were noticeable finger prints all over them. Then my husband goes to use the washroom and there is PEE on the toilet seat. We knew it was pee and not water because we took toilet paper to wipe it off and the toilet paper was yellow and it smelled like pee. I called the manager who kept calling me "sweetheart", FYI you only call someone that when you're trying to make them angry. Finally they sent someone up who upgraded our room to a king size bed (what we paid for), a free phone to use during our stay and an unbelievable view of the city. That is the only reason I am giving this place 2-star. Sounds good now right? Not so much...

To top it off, while in our newly upgraded room, I dropped the bar of soap I used to wash my hands in the bathroom and when I picked it up 10 disgusting long black curly hairs were stuck to it. Needless to say even the beautiful big room we were upgraded too was still dirty. I can handle them switching my beds, I can handle the mans rude tone with me, but I cannot tolerate uncleanliness. I would not recommend anyone spend the amount of money it costs to stay here. You are better off staying somewhere cheaper, which would be cleaner.

ps their food from room service was awful too.

I stayed this property on 3/27/2019.
Property is nice , central ,clean.
I was staying Room 3209.
I requested early check in at the time of reservation . I know it depends on availability .I pre paid the room and my breakfast at the time of my reservation
I was there at 12 Noon , was told room is empty but not clean , so come back at 3 PM. It does not take 3 hours to clean a room
I was told only option is to pay 15000 yens and go to executive level. .
The front desk check in was VERY unwelcoming , unpleasant and not helpful at all. This is very unusual for Japanese culture, they are always helpful and polite people.
I was tired I paid 15000 yens to go to the executive floor
I go to room and find it is 2 twin beds. I went with my wife. I had to come down and ask her to give me one queen size bed room as per my reservation
I did not get to room till ! PM. The executive floor is nothing but cheap wine and finger food. We do not drink alcohol so it was waste of my money. It is not like Ritz Carlton Club level.
I enjoyed my stay in Tokyo, Kyoto . But I found this hotel check in staff did not care for me. I was there for fun not business . May be they deal with more business customers.

When finding the hotel entrance in the maze of the Osaka Namba Station, you get to the elegant lobby on the sixth floor. The staff at check-in was very friendly and helpful. This process went smooth. The room on the 26th floor had a nice view, but unlike the pictures posted on the website, the (queen) bed was cramped against the wall. The room, compared to the hotel lobby, was outdated but it looked clean and tidy. A downside was the lack of power plugs, certainly if you need to charge certain items at the same time. But the biggest negative point was the bathroom. This really needs an urgent update. The bad/shower combination was terrible. You could put the shower head in the holder, but the water was spraying everywhere but in the bath tub. The bathroom was soaking wet after each usage. All in all, the only thing which was 5*, was the price. The room was maybe 3* at its best. Also worth mentioning, you need to pay extra if you want to use the swimming pool... When staying in Osaka again, I would probably looking for another hotel.

This is a very good location for beginner Osaka visitors.
Especially suitable for moving around Dotonbori and markets.
If you take a rapid ride from Kansai Airport, you will get off right below the hotel.
There is nothing wrong with moving between the airport and the accommodation.
I don't know if it's time, but I can't respond to Korean at all.
You have to speak English or Japanese to communicate.

Very nice place to stay and conveniently located. Comfortable room with an awesome bed which was much appreciated. Didn't make much use of the hotel's amenities but it seemed well - appointed. Helpful service in English although the hotel appeared to be understaffed at a busy time which led to a long-ish wait to check in. Also, no offer to help us with our luggage but that may have been because we travelled light. Good but not quite up to the standard I'd expect from a 5-star hotel.

Very friendly staff and a great location, directly at Namba station and close to Dotonbori. There is also a direct train to KIX airport from there and good access to the station. The hotel also has direct access to Takashimaya shopping mall. Rooms are quite small and not too modern though.

Excellent location, very nice and spacious rooms. Very modern and functional! The hotel is just on top of the Takashimaya Dept. Store and just a few blocks away from Dotonbori which is the popular shopping district. Also below the hotel is the train station so getting around is relatively easy. I had a chance to try the complimentary breakfast buffet and its all good, nothing special but it had more choices than the usual. If I go back to Osaka, no question I would come back and stay here.

Great location but tricky to find as it is in a giant mall. If the mall is closed, it is harder to get in and out as you have less entrances to choose from. However, the customer service was excellent. Room was clean and spacious (compared to average japanese hotel size). Would stay again.

Very friendly staff. Station below might get too crowded. I stayed using a free stay from Accor Advantage Plus member, and honestly it was the best place I've ever stayed, even compared to others like Pullman, or M Gallery/Sofitel. Room was a bit small, but honestly standard size for Japanese. I don't get why the bathroom theme was ivory colored, honestly it made them looked outdated and old, even though they were considerably new.

After nearly 24 hours of travel time with no rest, my wife and I were beyond appreciative of the ease of access to the hotel from Namba station. But what made our stay truly exceptional was the warmth and professional service of all the staff. As we stepped out of the elevator exhausted and frustrated, we were immediately intercepted by a receptionist who offered to take our bags and guided us to the check in counter. From there on the staff continued to be a valuable resources, escorting us to our rooms, answering all our questions with detailed and succinct answers, assisting with any of our travel plans, and routinely checking in on us to ensure we were maximizing our stay. The rooms were welcoming, but it was the quality of the staff that made this place stand out. My wife and I sincerely wish that if this review is read, that our compliments be conveyed to the exceptional staff that assisted us throughout our stay. Thank you and we will return!

Tip: there is only 1 elevator that leads straight to 6th floor where swissotel is. There will be elevators that take you to 5th floor then escalators to 6th but only one takes you direct and it located at the atrium of Namba City Mall, ground floor. Entrace elevators are right across Pablo cheese tarts
