OVERALL EXPERIENCE: Terrible. This was our most anticipated stop and our least favourite. We stopped at 7 wineries over two days, and had wine tastings at each. DETAILS: Our tasting was done with a tall thin guy who was not interested in making conversation with us. At one point I was mid sentence and he put his hand up to my face and said he had to answer the phone, and walked away. We left knowing nothing about their wine but that he; would prefer to be at the beach, was annoyed that one of his colleagues was late and that he was not interested in wearing black like his colleagues - he was dressed like a ragamuffin. He ended our tasting by coming over and saying, OK YOU'RE DONE! We didn't buy anything, would never go back and will not recommended anyone visits here.

At first we were skeptical because we walked in and none of the staff approached us because they were busy. We came back later that day, and we are really glad we did. Our host was Eddison and although he's only very young he was a superb conversationalist. He is building on his wine knowledge, but Eddison provided us with an extensive and yummy tasting session, and we walked out highly contented.

Overcrowded when we went for wine tasting. Allowed teeny bopper looking kids to sit on counters which isn't a good look for a business who prides in quality. The wines I ended up choosing were from Coonawarra and not the Hunter. You should be promoting or believing in the product u sell. You're mainly paying for the branding and not quality. And also didn't appreciate hearing (whilst I appreciate it was close to closing time) that staff were over it. Customer service doesn't finish at 5. It finishes the moment the last customer leaves your premises.

A little bit too much style over substance.

A little bit too much style over substance.

Went through the typical covid sign-in and got seated at the bar.

No real interest in the customer. You get to try what you ask for. No explanation or description offered besides, 'its dry", "it's full bodied" and then walk off.

Overall though it was a bit disappointing.

We came to the Hunter as wine amateurs and after a dozen tastings left as veterans. We picked Tempus Two because we had tried and seen their wines in bottleos. Overall I think their wines were average, not saying they were bad just not amazing like some of the other wineries we visited. Our host was knowledgable and friendly but overall I think that nothing in particular stands out about their wines. They are simple and clean, which may be a plus for some pallettes.

Just arrived home from a lovely break in the Hunter Valley with my partner and her children and Tempus Two was the highlight for us!

We visited on Monday afternoon and were looked after by the wonderful Madeline. She was enthusiastic and informative about each of the wines and the other things to see and do in Hunter Valley. We left with 2 dozen bottles including "roast lamb dinner in a bottle" Pewter Cab Sav - I can't wait to have it on Sunday night!

The location is also great with several eateries on site, Annette and I shared some delicious sushi from the Japanese restaurant with another bottle of Tempus Two on Tuesday night!

MUST GO here when you are visiting Hunter Valley. I think this was one of the places you should start off at. The prices are reasonable and the staff know what they are talking about. They have limited wines available that they make but I think the venue and the location makes this place worth to visit. Bring a picnic basket and have a picnic next to the vineyards here too.

We had a wine tasting with Caitlin and had a wonderful time. Caitlin was informative and witty - she really knew her wines and was able to take us through the wine list with aplomb. Thanks Caitlin.

Tempts two, very sleek and stylish is the building, and the tasting area, great place and surroundings.
I personally love most of their wines, but we have decided that most of all we enjoy and like the bortrytis. A great day.!!!

A must do stop whilst in the Hunter Valley. Crowd pleasing wines with fantastic service. We had Brihanna (hope I spelt that right). Very knowledgeable on all the wines and was very down to earth! A favourite would have to be the Verdhelo! On a nice day grab a bottle a sit outside, with a ready to eat cheese platter from the Smelly Cheese shop a few doors down

Not my favourite place in the hunter but a convenient place that I always end up making as a pit stop between wineries.

It's a more authentic experience having cheese at the original Smelly cheese shop.

There are some other epic wineries that I'd recommend over Tempus Two specifically Audrey Wikinson (epic Malbec!) and Saddlers Creek (the Bluegrass is always incredible!)

Theres loads of seats here and I find it a good place to have a cheese platter entree before heading to one of the incredible restaurants around like Il Cacciatore, Circa 1876, EXP or Botanica - all pricey options but a real treat to visit for a special occasion like a wedding anniversary.

We booked in with a group of seven of us yesterday and could not hands down recommend this place more if we tried. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted, asked what our fav wines are etc. And we ended up buying several bottles that were particular to all our tastes.

So much variety and such kind staff!
We'll be back for sure.

Incredible experience. A group of us came in for wine tasting and were assisted by Nathan. We not only bought 4 or 5 bottles of wine after but loved the experience - great conversationalist, very informative with every question asked/ each wine served and had all round great energy.

Will definitely be back. Thanks Nathan and Tempus two.

We did not have a good experience here today. We went for some wine tasting with the intention of buying a case or two of red wine from Tempus Two but instead was left embarrassed as my wife was not very impressed by the service here.

We were served by a young thin fella who did not seem at all happy to see us. He asked us whether we were here for some tastings, which I replied yes. He looked disappointed and expressed that he has had a long day (it was 4 pm). We felt like such an inconvenience to him and my wife was at all not happy with his initial attitude. It's not like we stepped off a tour bus. My wife actually wanted to walk out but I convinced her to stay for the wine tasting hoping that his attitude would improve.

We were seated at the bar and I mentioned that we would like to taste some of the reds they had on offer. The tasting sort of went well until he started to become condescending towards us, at which stage I was no longer in the mood to taste anything further. We only tasted 2 reds (Cab Sav and Shiraz) and a Rose Moscato. Once again, we felt like an inconvenience to him.

I chose 2 bottles of Shiraz and when I mentioned this to the assistant, he replied with a sarcastic surprise rude shock that I was only requesting to purchase 2 bottles totalling $90.

I'm not sure whether it was the way I was dressed but I believed I was quite polite towards him. You know what, if he was more welcoming and did not have an attitude from the beginning, I would have purchased more. After tasting some fairly decent wine, it was not the wine that left a bad taste in my mouth but a member of staff who clearly should not be serving customers.

I spoke highly of Tempus Two to my wife but instead we both left full of disappointment. I hastily left with my 2 bottles of wine never to return.

All about the Sticky, not the 'tude! - My friend and I dropped in to pick up Botrytis for my partner as a gift. I've been to TT a few times and always had a good experience. This time was different. I encouraged my friend to try a taste of it as well as something else. She pointed to the Petite Syrah and asked for a "syrah", omitting the "petite". Well, talk about having your head bit off. Right away the lady behind the counter gave my friend a lecture on how its not a syrah but a shiraz and just went on and on... That could've been handled a bit differently. We have had cellar door staff educate us on differences of wine but with a pleasant attitude and you can tell they love what they do. She obviously hated her job or just disliked us for some reason. Gave 2 stars because this was the first time I've encountered this at TT,.

The young woman (in her 20s probably) that was working yesterday Sunday 26th Nov on the morning was VERY RUDE!!! She make fun of me, call me honey, and laugh at my face making me feel stupid.
I kindly ask if I could try 2 wines, when she brought the other wine, she put it in my glass without giving me a chance to put some water first to wash the glass (and drink) and when was going to say something, she said "This is what you order honey" with a ironic laugh. I told her I wanted to put water in my glass first, she said it is not necessary coz the second wine was very sweet anyway. She was very rude, I am not her honey, I am a customer and I deserve respect. I knew what I ordered, she doesn't have to laugh at me and make fun of me, and If I want to drink some water before I taste the next wine I am entitle to do it coz I am the customer!! I was ready to buy few bottles that I loved from Tempus two but after that I prefered to leave and go to McGuigans.

Went wine tasting for the first time this past Saturday. This was the second place we (group of 2) went to and it was by luck. There was a line of people outside so naturally wanted to see if there was a spot available as we hadn't booked. Got SO lucky to be placed with Nathan.

From the moment he started serving us I could just tell he knew what he was doing. He was kind, entertaining and so informative as well as patient and attentive/focused. When his co-workers would need help he wasn't distracted and made sure he paid attention to us as the customers first which I respected.

It didn't even feel like wine tasting as much as it was an experience or good company. Not even surprised that the person who commented before me also mentioned him! I'd be going on and on if I kept explaining how great he was, Nathan made us want to DEFINATELY go back and walk away feeling happy. He also made me like red wine more than I initially did !

Thank you

We had such a good time here.

We had such a good time here.
Casual yet elegant. Beautiful wines!
Didn t have to ask for a tasting they just started you off and no obligation to purchase.

Staff Were very approachable and not standoffish like other places we visited.

Anthony was excellent. We loved his sense of humour and the little games he played. He was also super helpful in getting my order shipped back to WA for FREE! What a great guy!!

Thanks again. I ll be sure to visit again :)
