Tokyo American Club Tokyo Japan Review

A facility that we dropped in at a tasting party. It was very beautiful and comfortable.

It is a member-oriented social club. There are various facilities including restaurant, pool, bowling alley, gym, library among them. Some restaurants are available even if you are not a member.

We visited during the meeting, but the food was delicious and comfortable.

A membership-only club behind the Russian embassy. Even though I am in Tokyo, I feel like I am in a foreign country full of exoticism.
There are various restaurants and spaces inside, and various events and weddings are held.
There is also a swimming pool, so I can swim until midnight.
There is a parking lot, but it is a system that can not be parked except by members.
As this is a facility for foreign families, it is a social place, but I feel that there are many places where it is safe to have children.
It's a complicated construction inside, so tell me where you want to go at the front desk and think about moving around.

Fantastic. I have not visited so many clubs. But in my opinion Tokyo American Club Tokyo Japan may be a one of the best club among the best clubs in the World.

Tokyo American Club has many restaurants from formal to casual and family. Staff are well trained and kind. Pretty good place if you can attain a membership. The gym is good and locker room includes jacuzzi and sauna.

Suggestion- when the international schools are on holiday and the place is overrun with students. As of Dec 2019, this needs to be controlled better.

Never want to missChop steakhouse when they open to kids once a month. The3000 Yen beef burger is made of the off cuts of real aged steaks, absolutely juicy, enough to feed a very hungry 20stone man! Baked Bone marrow is my favorite

Previously, there were restaurants that could be used by non-members.
I used the restaurant.
I was very surprised to find a very magnificent building in the back from the main street.

There were quite a lot of restaurants in Western countries.
There were so many people even at midnight.

It is a wonderful membership system club. There are 4 restaurants where you can also enjoy your meal. I think the smile of the employee is American and good.

I got an escort for members and visited for the first time in a while.
The gratitude and pride supported by the members are felt by many staff members, and it is possible to enjoy the comfort, as you can enjoy a familiar response while having a sense of grace and a sense of distance.

This is for members only, but it's like a secret base where you can taste different spaces in Tokyo!

Visiting as a reciprocal club member from DC. Amazingly well endowed, provisioned, and private.

The portion sizes are huge, the flavor nothing special, but the wine is good.

Membership system. There are spaces for adults only, and there are plenty of playgrounds for children.

Food was good even though not so fancy. Walk a distance from all train stations.

Wonderful place for everyone with a membership. Probably best Thanksgiving dinner in town.

Been a member for years. It's private so you'll have to pay but a little Oasis in Tokyo away from the hustle and bustle.

Tokyo American Club is a fantastic place for expats in Japan. Huge club with lots of things to do for kids and adults. Fantastic support facilities, including a full size gym, a basketball court, squash courts and a rooftop pool.
TAC also has great restaurants and a nice Sportsbar with US sports and homemade beer.

If you think this is what America is like, you will be outrageously disappointed

After renovation, more and more gorgeous. It was open to the general public, but the place where the atmosphere is getting better is a rock stone.

A place where members can not feel free to use it but has a quiet and unique atmosphere. There is also a restaurant and bar. There is also a hall in the basement that can be used for conferences, and I had some trouble with it. There is a space that summarizes the history of the American club in the second floor, it is quite interesting to look closely at it. A place worth taking me once if members are around me.

Home away from Home! Always met my school friends over the weekend & summer holidays here. Great Memories

Great place to entertain clients. I've found the staff to be top shelf every time. They have many events for the family. And the people you meet here are all top notch expats (and Japanese business people).

A very friendly and tailored experience in new facilities. And a side story, someone saved these Frank Lloyd Wright stones from the original Imperial Hotel here in Tokyo. Why would they be such a legacy or so important?

To go, I walked from Gaienmae Station, but I went back to Roppongi by taxi. Taxi is easy. Lol

Both facilities and hospitality are great. The hurdles for joining are high, but if you know the members, you should visit at least once.

A sociable place to know. Is the Japanese official letter of introduction? I can not enter without it.

Best club and gym in Japan and totally horse the price.

This is a members only club located in the heart of Tokyo. For the short or long term expat, the Tokyo American Club provides an environment for networking as well socializing. There is an eclectic mix of nationalities in the club, so don t let the name fool you. The club has many restaurants, a gym, bowling alley, bar, hair salon, etc. the gymnasium is excellent and can be used for multi purpose. There is a golf simulator as well as squash courts. The gym is large with a good mix of cardio, machines and free weights.

A members only sanctuary in the heart of town. Great service and community and huge guest rooms (reminds you of the large oversized hotel rooms u find in the US)complement a very impressive club house with the whole of recreational activities & F&B. Staff combine Japanese attention to detail with American hospitality. 5 minutes from the heart of Roppongi

I visited Tokyo American Club, but my main purpose was in search of job, upon my arrival there, a called Trevor and JR were so nice to me and help ed me greatly. It's a beautiful Place but only members of the club are allowed to the faculties. Sorry I couldn't take a picture.

great place for events, meetings, and also the food

It is Japan, but basically speaking in English.
It was open to people living nearby, and when I went there was an event where a fire engine came, and a lot of children came to play.

Access by car is basic, but it is a place where you can relax all day.

It was convenient for the event and the restaurant burger was also delicious. The point where you can do light activities such as bowling

Very quiet and elegant place. As it is private and membership-based, you can not enter without being called by members. The gym, swimming pool, golf simulator, restaurant, bar, family dining, library and much more. If there is an opportunity, by all means.

My wife went there for a public event. She was told she couldn't bring our son in (because he's under 12), and he had to be minded by someone while she went inside. She was not able to enjoy herself. There were plenty of other kids under 12 running around, which suggests that the rules are not uniformly applied. Moreover, nobody helped her (with her 3 year old child, plus she's 6 months pregnant) use the main entrance, so she had to shuffle up a long ramp past moving cars. This place is terrible and the worst of entitled Tokyo expat culture.

What is there to say
Top facilities, Great food, Nice atmosphere, Bar with sports on the TV (popcorn)
Semi convenient location.
Business, leisure, family, meetings, gym with pool and fine dining! Oh and a good library!
If you can get membership, it s the best club to join!

It is a very exclusive private sports club, where you can spend time with your family, have business meetings, in Tokyo, but very American style

the TAC lounge is airy, open space, with an awesome by the glass wine program. fairly priced. staff is well trained in wines.

Went for one night as part of a reciprocal club. Located in a lovely neighborhood of Tokyo, their customer service is exceptional and their suites and facilities are as well. They clearly take much pride in their club. Would highly recommend this club and would definitely return.

Invited to breakfast!. Enjoyed Greek Yoghurt, toast, juice, sunny side up(no runny yolk), fruits coffee etc. Quite fascinated by the parking technology( car lifts! )

Good food he at reasonable prices, but must know a member. Burgers especially good. Have yet to use the facilities except for the banquet as a participant in a meeting. That was good.

Great Service , Great Facilities and Fantastic Food

Splendid & sumptuous. Nicely decorated & modern touches maje this a real jewel. Dinner at steak resto was so so dishes for group of eight came lukewarm. Tasty but not sure how they missed that detail. Great wine list.

The Tokyo. Sometimes when you go to such a place, your body and mind are refined.

I had fun with my children at the invitation of my friend. The food was delicious and the playground was fulfilling and I had a great day!

There are quite a lot of parking spaces and there is free wifi. The taste is good, the service attitude is OK.

Went there for the event ceremony. It was hard to find from train station. I guess everyone just take taxi or drive in there?

Beautiful structure and great swimming pool and gym.

I have been a member for about 20 years, but I think it was better to be friendly before the present TAC. 9.11 has changed everything. But the staff is very nice.

It is a membership club. Facilities are excellent and there are gymnasium with gym, basketball court, squash court, bowling alley, pool, library, room which can stay, meeting room, five restaurants. I have been a member for over 30 years, but it is disappointing that the number of members is increasing and crowded, and that the quality of members has dropped significantly compared to the past. I can not but forget the old Azabudai.

There is an image often used in foreign conferences. Luxury, but far from any station, you need to go up the hill.
