Love, love, love this place. I used to work in Fremont, so mostly went for happy hour. They have a fantastic happy hour - killer mac and cheese, great pizzas (with chili oil that is magical), and reasonably priced drinks. Staff is always fun to be around as well. It s worth trekking out to Fremont for SWeL.

San Tung's chicken wings are legendary and I came to try them. Golden wings were covered in a sticky sauce with a bit of sweetness and a bit of spiciness. Delicious mix of flavors from the batter, the sauce, and the chicken wings. Chicken was tender and juicy. These are the best wings I've found in San Francisco.

The seafood pasta was one of a kind the bruschetta and the crab appetizer excellent service management was very welcoming love the dark ambient setting the only thing I'm frustrated about I didn't take pictures of the food

Calimari was great as well as jalapeno hummus as appetizer. Carne asada, caesar and other salads, flatbread all delicious.

Man o man do I love this pizza! I like to think of myself as a pizza connoisseur my wife and I thought this place was going to be ok... so we thought okay cool we ll give it a try... oh man we didn t expect the flavor that came out of that pizza and salad!!! It was cooked to perfection and the flavors hit my palette like very few pizzas have done before this place will not disappoint!!!

Pizza was great! Got exactly what expected. Chili oil was also a nice addition. Wi go back to try other things on the menu.

SWeL is a great place to have dinner with friends or a date. I really enjoyed everything I had from my salmon to my cookie dessert. The staff was friendly, atmosphere was charming. I had a good time and will be back again. We went on a Thursday night and it wasn't too quest or too busy. It's located right in the heart of Fremont.

Lovely! Nice upscale casual with a very knowledgeable staff! Had the gorgonzola and bartlett pear pizza with dill pesto! It was an amazing mix of flavors! Absolutely would go again!

Fremont's hidden gem. Every menu item is delicious - pizza, calamari, the Caesar is insaaane. By far the coolest place in fremont!

Food was great and portions weren't too small. A little on the expensive side, but a great place for date night.

The best grilled calamari in the city. Not deep fried or battered. Jist a nice grilled and slightly charred on a bed of greens. Drizzle some lime and yummmm.

Delicious upscale Italian cuisine and very friendly service.

Great craft cocktails. I had the jalepeno margarita and it was hands down one of the best I've had. We also had pizza and calamari that were out of this world. Highly recommend and will definitely be going back again soon.

My boyfriend and I came here on Valentine s Day We were cheerfully greeted upfront. Every part of the experience was extremely pleasant. We enjoyed the food and drinks. We re excited to come back!

Great ambiance, great service, nice energy, and very friendly and accommodating staff. But the pork marsala that I ordered was overcooked and was not very tasty. (I have been eating chicken marsala and veal marsala my whole life). The calamari appetizer was also a bit small, but was pretty good. I would probably return just because of the positive atmosphere and give the food another chance.

Some of the best pizza I've ever had! Unfortunately small plates and wished we'd ordered more but wow so delicious. We loved the house olive oil, too, WOW. The waiters and staff were also very friendly and the decor inviting and trendy!

I am from Italy, I have been travelling for almost three months all over Canada and the States too.
This was the best pizza I had in the continent.
Very soft dough, good mozzarella, good tomato sauce. I salted it a little bit but that is more of a personal preference.
The bartender David was also nice and friendly and I had also a good glass of local wine. Warm setting too.
If you come to Fremont, don't miss SweL

I never ever write reviews but I HAD to for SWeL! This place can literally do no wrong. Everyone is so friendly, the atmosphere is perfect and the food is to die for. From tasty comfort food to higher end fare, there is something here for everyone. And don t get me started on the awesome owners and our favorite bartender Carly. The best restaurant in the neighborhood. Love love love!

Okay selections in the menu and chill atmosphere but nothing really stood out.

Cool place for Happy Hour, but later in the evening took a turn for the douche.

Oh boy, this place is the real deal, the real, real, real Deal! The staff and Bar Tenders are exceptional, and the food is top notch. The Clams were fantastic and the Pizza is amazing, overall a SweL Experience!

I would have to say this is a great, comfortable and relaxing restaurant. The atmosphere very friendly with a little bit of electricity in the air. Just like the neighborhood of Fremont is. The service is quite good with friendly wait staff that is always moving around to make sure the customers are happy and well taken care of. Something that a lot of restaurants are missing these days. The food is good and the best thing is they don't give you a huge portion. But it is not so small you leave hungry. After the main course you still have room for dessert. I would say this is a place that you would need to go back to so you can try something different each time.

Great staff. Food was also really yummy. Would love to see more options for vegetarians but I come from a city where I never have any options so I was still really happy with the pizza I got! It was really good!

Love the scallops. The bread pudding is one of the best I ever had. Would come back again if I'm in the area.

Saturday night, the restaurant was packed and the service was impeccable. Four appetizers, 8 entrees, 3 desserts all flawless, great drinks and awesome ambiance. My new favorite restaurant.

Staff is excellent and the food has definitely increase in quality since I was there last. Absolutely worth the value on the food!

The cocktails are great, and $10 each for the signature ones, and the food that I saw looked great. The sazerac I had was excellent.

The small pizzas are big enough to share with someone else, and look amazing.

A handful of wines and 12 taps of beer/cider/kombucha is well appreciated too.

Really strong margaritas, great flat bread to start, and generous portions for the main dishes and desserts. Accommodated a large group with excellent service.

The pizza was good with a crust worth noticing: just a touch of sweet and salty.

A friend recommended Vendemmia to me and I'm so glad I tried it! We made reservations for a Sunday evening and we're glad we did - cause all the tables were pretty full for a Sunday evening! We were celebrating a friend's bday. Service was great and everyone was friendly. The ambiance was good for a date - Dim lighting, easy atmosphere for conversation, not super huge or cramped.

Really good carne asada sandwich with flat bread made in-house.

Very cozy welcoming small restaurant with great food and kind waiters. Very good for an outing with family or a small group of friends.

What can I say? It was swell. It was packed and they didn't have a ton of seating, so definitely make a reservation. Their flatbreads are good. I loved their hummus appetizer and salmon main course. Their chocolate chip cookie dessert was giant and delicious.

Amazing food, great atmosphere and the best service! SWeL is a must try when in Seattle.

I've been to SWeL a couple of times now, and every time has been a treat. They take some really strong foundational comfort food (pizza, pasta, meat and potatoes) and make it fun and interesting. The balance of spices and flavors is good. The spicy food isn't too spicy, safe for those who generally avoid such things. SWeL is definitely a strong competitor in a neighborhood rife with eateries. Worth a try!

I've eaten here a few times and I can only describe it as hit or miss. Sometimes it's great, sometimes it's just okay. Worth a try for the times it's good though.

After spending one week in Italy, my husband and I visited SWeL on our family's recommendation with high expectations. And to be honest.... it was the best pepperoni pizza we've ever eaten. The Caesar salad was also very delicious (heavy on garlic and anchovies, but that's how we like it). The pork chop with marsala sauce and mashed potatoes were out of this world. Our dinner at SWeL can be summarized by something my husband said while eating the pizza: "I want to take this pizza out on a date and buy it a nice bottle of Chianti." Five stars! We can't wait to go back!

Great food, service, and atmosphere for a night out with girlfriends. We had a goat cheese bruschetta, beet salad, seafood linguini, carne asada, hummus flatbread, and skillet chocolate chip cookie for dessert. All were delicious and our waiter was attentive. Will be back!

Great atmosphere, amazing food-- I have been here multiple times, gotten something new each time and loved the dish each time-- and super friendly staff. One of my favorite spots. Highly recommend getting dessert.

The place has a great taste in food. The Alcoholic drinks are in question. A little to strong and the Spicy Margarita was off on the taste.

Delicious. The salmon sandwich was particularly good. Do be aware of the peppers! Also, the hummus was quite tasty!

I've had the privilege of watching Ted & Ashleigh take #SWeL from concept to reality and it's a perfect example of what happens when hard work, dedication and LOVE converge.
The food is excellent, the service is excellent, and the vibe is even better.

Upscale, reasonably priced good food, friendly personable staff, cozy atmosphere

I love eating here. I can do appetizers, main course and desert for a very reasonable price and it's the only place I didn't take off my list for dining out when I had to cut my budget.

The people working here are incredibly friendly and efficient. Even when there are waits it doesn't feel like it because of the way they manage it.

I highly recommend trying this place

I can't wait to try Swel!!! I will be stopping in next weekend... I have worked for Ted before and he's an amazing person and employer!!! Ashleigh and Ted I'm so happy you opened a space to share YOU and your PASSION for food and life! Can't wait to stop in.

Cocktails were delicious, food was good, but some menu items left me wondering about the honesty of their descriptions. Allegedly I had a half sirloin half bacon burger, but the flavor and texture was no different from your average burger. The 'line caught' wild Alaskan King salmon is also questionable, the vast majority of Chinook sold commercially are gillnet/seine based fisheries. These were two examples that left me scratching my head. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere is decent, it's an interesting re-take on the former Six Gill location and decor.

Service is usually top notch but the server left halfway through our meal and didn t even tell us. Food is always amazing. Parking in back for free. Loud and lively atmosphere with outdoor seating.

As Seattle natives, we eat a lot of salmon, but the salmon entree at SWeL is one of the best we've had anywhere. Everything else we've tried on the menu we've liked as well. Also great drinks, ambience, service, and weather permitting, outdoor seating. I've been here on date night, with a small group of friends, and with a large work party, and somehow it was the perfect place for all three.

SWel is amazing! The food, service and drinks are wonderful. I have alot of dietary restriction and they are always so accommodating.

Pizza is good, they offered customization to the menu since we were skipping red meat.

Amazing food and service! Will be going back anytime I'm in town!
