Fantastic rooms and service! I've stayed here several times and always enjoy my stay.
Fantastic rooms and service! I've stayed here several times and always enjoy my stay.
Great location. Central to all the great shopping! Very welcoming staff. Spacious rooms, well appointed. The suites have little kitchenettes , not that I'm cooking on vacation but a nice touch. Came here last year and loved it so we stayed here again!
The hotel was clean and generally nice except for our bathroom was in need of repair and updating to match the rest of the hotel. There was a ceiling access panel hanging down, the handle for the tub was falling off and was very cheap. In the morning we could hear what sounded like the laundry being done and the apparent construction on the hotel.
Simply Excellent! Great phone staff, they were great as they followed out our request im the accommodation. The Front Desk - outstanding service! They are very accommodating, friendly and professional. We stayed in the 20th floor and room view was simply outstanding. The room was very clean and cozy. This was a very memorable stay for my family - Thank you Sutton Place Hotel for such a great stay!
It's not the newest or most glitzy hotel in Vancouver but the Sutton is very classy. Place is always clean and the staff there are very professional. Plus it is right in the heart of shopping and entertainment. Always a pleasure to attend professional events there as the food offerings are not to pass up.
The Sutton has nice rooms and nice facilities. The Gerard Lounge has a great atmosphere and a great happy hour. The only disappointing thing is that Wi-Fi in your costs $15 a day, considering the price of a room this seems like a bit a cash grab.
This is an amazing hotel, great location, great bar, gym and staff, you cannot go wrong here.
Beautiful lobby. Excellent location. Awesome staff. Two thumbs up.
Well kept, great staff, good breakfast buffet, turn down for service.
Great hotel in the centre of everything easy walk to eat shop even beach.
They have great room. It was comfortable and roomy.
Had to attend an event that was hosted at this hotel. The location is convenient to get to through transit. The hotel staff were really helpful in directing me to the venue.
Best Hotel I've stayed in while I'm in Vancouver, BC
I really enjoyed my stay here. We had one of the apartment rooms and it was beautiful. The furniture isnt as comfy as you'd think but its clean, and the rooms are clean. Housekeeping was really great and came within 10 minutes of me calling them for new towels. The pool and sauna were great, the jacuzzi was kinda lame but whatever. Parking on site is great we could come and go as we please. Everyone was kind to us and I had no issues with check in/out.
I decided to have a 'staycation' with my infant child. I'm sitting here in my room writing this.
Check in was easy, room is very very dated. View is great. No free wifi- come on it's 2018.
I asked for a fridge for my daughters milk when we checked in 3 hrs ago, still not here. I asked for a high chair so we could eat our room service together.. took forever for it to come, the high chair was absolutely disgusting, looks like it was never cleaned.
I'm so not happy, as a single mom who needed a night away and have a break, i'm so upset. I don't see why this hotel is so highly rated.
Great location, friendly and attentive staff, and cozy rooms make staying here a pleasure. We'll definitely be returning.
Toilets seldom flushed completely. Shower was always inconsistent in temperature. Hot water was off for one afternoon. Air conditioner always started with a loud noise frequently waking us up.
Developed dry cough and scratchy throat on our second night. I eventually learned others suffered the same effects. I believe its likely allergic reactions to a long over due need for a steam cleaning.
Very expensive for the quality. Had far better stays at "lower end" motels and hotels for much better price. House keeping was excellent and generally most of the staff was friendly.
nice place. I like to stay overnight during working days if it is too late to go home
Great rooms, service, wood-panelled bar, and breakfast buffet (the hot one in the restaurant).
Nice hotel, a little overpriced, and the only place we had to pay for WiFi! And the most expensive hotel we stayed in!
Everything went as expected. Nothing too bad or too good.
We booked our staff party of 20 people, cost was around $4500.00.We were only allowed to use the room where our dinner was for 3 hours @ $275 flat rate charge,so We asked for a room to have cocktails in before and after, they rented us a suite in the residences. Apparently, they put a women and her baby either beside us or below us, security kicked us all out of our room and told us that we were "too noisy" only 8 people were in the room afterwards. All were guests at the hotel, so besides the embarrassment, our Christmas function was a complete flop. In all the years we have had Christmas parties at different hotels, never have I've been treated so poorly. We booked on the 9th of November and tried to cancel on the 14th, they refused, stating that it would be too late to book someone else in, so we were stuck going to the hotel. The place is very noisy, the walls are paper thin, not what you would expect in a hotel of this class. The only phone call I received was from the catering, and basically all my complaints fell on deaf ears. Of course, they got the money, they made sure every penny was paid up front. If you plan on a good nights sleep, or planning a night out with staff or friends, I highly recommend you DO NOT stay at this hotel, you will be sorry.
Great hotel. Very well located and excellent service throughout.
Nice rooms, in need of an update, service was top notch. Pool area was clean with good size pool and hot tub and ping pong table out in the sun deck. Elevators got backed up quite a bit only having 2 of 4 working.
For breakfast only white bread and jam. The staff is not unfriendly but there are no smiles. All in all very distant and reserved. Very British.
Home away from home. Staff make this place amazing and so does the decorum
This place has the best service! (For the kids, they leave chocolates on your pillow. ) Best gift shop, best pool and hot tub. I recommend this hotel.
Room was comfortable and clean. Some of the elevators weren't working and I was on the 20th floor so that was frustrating. Overall a nice place though.
We checked into the Sutton Place Hotel on May 5 for 3 nights with 2 suites reserved as we were in Vancouver for medical treatment. I was bitten on my shoulder and bites appear to be that of bed bugs. Hotel staff advised no bugs found and the cause is likely from detergent used for linens. My pajamas cover my shoulders so linens did not touch my skin. We have stayed at this property many times with no problems with linens. Something in this bed left bites on my shoulder, this is an area that bed bugs tend to bite. The hotel staff have been patronizing, condescending and unapologetic. They accept no responsibility. Quite unnerving. Suggest guests be careful or stay somewhere else. Rooms, carpet and bathrooms are old and in desperate need for renovation, showers are a disgrace
Will not return.
Really enjoyed my stay comfy beds and nice rooms. Staff were all very nice
Super nice and well equipped rooms, nice and clean and super good service. Located centrally within walking distance to most.
The staff is friendly and very thorough. The rooms are clean and spacious. This is a hotel I will definitely come back to stay at!
Very nice staff and nice space plus its downtown and walkable distance to lots of places such as the metro and loads of restaurants. The rooms are great too and housekeeping are awesome with ensuring coffee filters are restocked.
Sutton Place Hotel has a great location with IGA, the theatres. great restaurants close by. The staff is very attentive. The hot tub was lovely and hot. The pool was warm. The gym had enough selection. They are decorated for Christmas. I love staying here.
I love this place, any time of year! Christmas is especially fabulous. This is a location where many celebrities stay while in Vancouver and because we are Canadian, they are left alone. We simply quietly observe and allow them their space.
Also, I believe, many Vancouverites think a lot of themselves... so there's that.
This hotel is in a great location and was easy to park.We had a party to attend in the ballroom which was very nice i would recommend it to others.
Room is Ok, view was outstanding and Jennifer gave us an upgrade which we loved. Overall a good stay.
Very good hotel. The access to the surrounding area is good and the quality of the hotel is high. Security is secure for individuals because mud invades.
Nice clean comfortable hotel right in the middle of downtown Vancouver. Close to shops and restaurants and lots of sightseeing to do. No wifi in the room just in the lobby which in today's world sucks. No daily house keeping. Had to request for additional towels and toiletries.
Great old school charm and class with service that makes you feel that they love and appreciate having you stay there.
Suite was lovely and service was excellent (polite and efficient).
Professional service, rooms have great ambience (not too bright), and very little noise is audible from other rooms.
Went for a networking event and the canapes were tasteful, and the room set up nicely for the event.
Nice place. Great location. One block from Robson street. That's where all the shops and restaurants are.
I stayed at the Sutton on a whim, and I'm really glad I did. The lobby, though small, is tastefully decorated. The check-in staff were polite and helpful in getting two rooms moved next to each other at the last minute. The concierge staff were accommodating and offered advice about the neighborhood. The rooms were clean and had everything we needed.
Service is top notch. Valet parking was flawless, staff brought all our bags up to our room, and cleaning staff checked in to see if we had everything we needed shortly after we arrived. That's classy.
The room was very clean. We had a suite appartment and while the decor could be improved upon (I'm not a fan of striped wallpaper and another lounge chair would have been nice) the modern appliences and bar stools are layed out well and very nice.
Four and a half stars because I have stayed at nicer appartment type accomodation in other large cities for less $$. A solid five stars though for the service.
Oh and no biggie but someone charged some snacks to our room (I thought it was hubby).
We will stay here again.
Could use a refresh a little, staff awesome, clean and very professional... Nothing of concern for anyone who stays there
The Sutton Place Hotel in Vancouver is my personal favorite hotel to stay when in Vancouver. Best central location for just about everything. First class in every way.
Great location. Nice views of the city. Friendly and helpful staff. Good size gym
The bed was nice, but the whole room was dusty. It was a sub par experience.
Well it was great service was good the place was outstanding and clean and fancy and thief is many places to visit like the mall the water front thier all close to that hotel I would visit thier again.
Great place to stay clean with very friendly staff.
The rooms were very nice, the pillows and bedding were clean and comfortable. All the provided toiletries seemed high quality and didn't affect sensitive skin. All employees we interacted with we're professional and friendly.
Clean and well managed hotel. Rooms are clean, nicely furnished and quiet.
Shouldn't have stayed at this hotel. Instead of my family enjoying our time, were here at the lobby figuring out who scratched our vehicle in their parking lot. Unfortunately there are no cameras on our spot, so the hotel couldn't help us. Just spent an hour trying to call the car rental and my insurance to report the incident. Not great for first impression so far with security at this hotel.
Had problem with A/C noise, but room changed without a problem. But why does a hotel charging top $ need to ask $15 a day for Wi-Fi?
My favorite hotel in Vancouver! Nice rooms with comfy beds... Excellent and helpful staff. Warm welcoming feeling
Great location. Clean hotel. Great service. Great price.
Office away from the office - this hotel is great (while getting a little "worn" in public spaces. The restaurants and bars are great too.
Great staff, central location, loves the Executive Suites - well appointed. IGA grocery store across the street.
I wish I could stay longer. The rooms are beautifully decorated and great view. The staff is amazing! The best service I have had in a long time. The restaurant is superb! I highly recommend staying and eating here.
We arrived a bit early and they checked us in and also gave us a complimentary upgrade to a suite. We had told them that we were there for our anniversary and when we returned from out evening out there was chocolates and strawberries in the room for us. Very clean room and bed was extremely comfortable.
