Unreal food and pretty good service. Great place for a quick bite or a nice dinner. Pretty quiet even when there s a lot of people, which is nice. Very relaxed atmosphere. Great value and prices. Well worth a trip.
Pretty sushi at the sushi bar. Delicious and the service couldn't be more friendly and accommodating. Great location on walnut street as well. We got a melon cocktail which was delicious as well. My mouth is watering thinking about the sushi. Mmm. Try the tri color roll.
I'm not normally a sushi fan, i can appreciate a good roll from time to time but i never go crazy craving the stuff. Sushi too just might have changed that for me. It is by far the best sushi i have ever eaten and among some of the best food I've ever had. I recommend the spicy yellow tail tempura.
Probably not gonna eat here again. Paid 13 dollars for a poke bowl that was essentially a salad. Majority lettuce. I m still hungry so now I m gonna have to pay a bunch of money tonight since I have to go get something else to eat :-( disappointing, not worth the money
Decent food in the Shadyside area. Friendly staff and they gave me free edamame because I walked in and waited for my to-go order. Despite the free food, the rolls and soup that I paid for were on par and great for the area.
They have both Chinese and Japanese style dishes. Neat and nice.
Friendly staff but seemed they were a little understaffed. The environment was very noisy which made my experience rather unenjoyable. Sushi was average.
Sushi was great. drinks were awesome and service was perfect!
Spicy. Yellowtail. Tempura. Very delicious! I will continue to come back. Other comments said this place smelled like fish. Is there something else this place should smell like? Never noticed a strong smell. Decent prices and portions.
Super delicious noodle dishes in addition to the sushi. Try the ginger dressing, my favorite.
The food is okay. A little amateur for the price. Delivery service is horrible. Friends and I have ordered several times and the food never arrives. I called and asked for status updates and every half hour the worker tells me that it is almost there. But.....no food? Have resolved to not eating here anymore. Unprofessional service.
Always a wonderful experience! Wonderful selection and fantastic quality in both the service and the food. We always order our favorites and are never disappointed.
Too expensive, and the food was hardly great. Definitely disappointing considering how many great restaurants are in that area
Such friendly staff! So many options on their menu and the food is very tasty. And such a beautiful little restaurant. Highly recommended.
Paid 16 dollars for poke bowl. Got a bowl of lettuce with 2slices of avocado and half spoon of salmon. Joke.
The sushi we got was very good. It came well presented and tasted great. The portion sizes, on the other hand, were laughable. That is the sole reason this isn t a 4 or 5 star review. One of the rolls was $14 for FOUR PIECES! I have eaten at other sushi restaurants that served twice as much food for the same price. If I would have known how many pieces of each roll we would be getting I would have chosen a different place to eat.
Super nice place. Right on Walnut street among the shops in trendy Shadyside. The menu has everything you expect and then some without trying to be pretentious. The one obvious issue I have is the menu doesn't describe what all the different special rolls are. You have to ask for each and there are dozens.
Good light meal of sushi and miso soup. Six pieces to a roll. Quick service.
Affordable Sushi place with reasonable menu. Very friendly service. You don't need to bring your own as they serve alcohols.
I am new to the area and this is my favorite sushi place! I love the sushi and the lo mein is the BEST. Highly recommend. Standard prices , you get a discount if you order online I believe.
Great food! Friendly staff! All around great experience!!!
The food here is good while the service is terrific, flexible, and helpful. After just one visit, I felt like a regular. While there are tastier places for sushi, this place is a good, convenient restaurant to visit while on Walnut Street.
The plates where terrible in presentation and taste (edamame where too salty, the rolls where not even decent in taste and presentation, Rice was watery and far from being fried). The wait for food was very long, and the waiters where not really good with us. I would suggest to propose less choices on the menu but more care on the taste and presentation of food
I think the beginner is important. The price was much higher than at the beginning. We recommend lunch or chirashi.
I loved eating outdoors here. Ordered the Big OMG T Roll. Presentation, texture, and flavor are amazing. Best sushi I've had in Pittsburgh so far.
I ordered delivery and was disappointed by the portion sizes - I didn't think you could slice a piece of fish to be so thin you could see the rice through it! I like to support local, but feel that Mola has better portion for the price. Very disappointing experience. I do not plan to go back.
Way too expensive for the amount of sushi u get $16 for 4 small rolls!
We were there for a party in the party room. The food was absolutely fantastic!! The atmosphere is great and the service was extremely kind. I cannot wait to go here again. I highly recommend this place. :)
Overpriced for just okay food and meh sushi. I agree with people who say they focus more on presentation than the food itself. I got really bland udon here once, but the place will do in a pinch.
Some of the best sushi in the city. Some of the best lunch in the city. Affordable lunch menu with many great options.
Sushi was good. It just had a bit too much rice for me.
Decent, mid priced sushi and Japanese dishes. Perfect for an easy lunch or quick dinner.
The food was awful I'm never ordering there again. It was the smallest sized rolls I have ever had. I was sick after eating their cold octopus. The food was cold because the delivery guy left it on the sidewalk without notifying me.
Forget what their website says; they don't deliver -- tried to order delivery costing $18 and change. Got a call back saying their driver said it's too far. Their website says they deliver within a 3 mile radius.. I'm 2.1 miles from their restaurant. I mentioned this and was told then he doesn't know why their driver won't deliver it and suggested pickup. Clearly a case of the driver just telling the poor guy on the phone whatever it takes to get out of it. The guy on the phone was put in an awkward spot and you can tell it from his voice. He tried to be as accommodating as he could considering the position in which he was placed. Can't say anything as for the food taste as I never received any. tl;dr They don't deliver
Very good food at a reasonable price. A bit loud when it's busy, but I will go back.
Right now, it is non stop Door Dashers lining up to get their deliveries. The place is behind some, but working hard.
Fantastic service and great food. The waitress gave us complimentary edemame and the miso, salad, and sushi was fantastic. Will definitely be back.
This Sushi Too has been a family staple for years. I remember coming here when I was maybe 5 or 6 years old. Definitely one of my favorite places, always. And the people that own it and those who run it, so sweet. Much gratitude to them!
The wait staff was nice and kept our glasses full most of the time which is a big plus because my boyfriend and I drink like cattle. But the food we ordered came out at strange intervals. Also my boyfriend got pork shogayaki which was dry and had the consistency of being over cooked, which paying 15 for a meal that has this quality is ridiculous. Additionally since he only took 3 bites and we told them that it was inedible they, did not take it off the bill or discounted anything. So overall we are very displeased and will not be going back there any time soon.
Fantastic sushi spot. Everyone is really friendly and festival roll was definitely one to remember!
Absolutely amazing! My favorite thing was the snowflake roll. I am not an experienced sushi eater so I am easy to impress but my boyfriend ate sushi growing up and he really enjoyed it as well.
They have a nice mix up of both fairly authentic sushi and Americanized sushi, not to terribly priced. Nice quite atmosphere, have gone 4 times and have never been disappointed.
Their sushi is usually pretty nice quality, but would recommend not getting the poke bowl unless you wanna get mostly a pile of lettuce in your bowl.
Is this place even Japanese? Food was presented well but quality of Sushi just wasn't there. Service was good, but if you don't get the best fish you can immediately tell.
One of the best restaurants in the south side and the staff is super nice!!!
Food was very flavorful, prices were fair for lunch specials. Staff was very quick and attentive.
Friendly fast. Food comes out quickly most of the time but depends on how many people are there. I reccomend trying the ginger salad tamago and Edamame. They are great! UPDATE: the old owner sold it to some new owners and I have noticed a decrease in food quality although they did renovate the interior
Food here was great! The staff was very nice and the atmosphere was relaxed, which is a bit hard to come by these days. My mother and I had a terrific lunch here and it wasn't even pricy. 10/10 would eat here again
It's not what it used to be. The Miso soup was lacking body (Miso), the unagidon was lacking unagi (1/2 portion than before), the pork katsudon was dry, and the edamame tasted like water. Sigh, we used to like this place.
Came in from out of town. Had a taste for sushi and came to this spot after the first place failed to have sushi. So glad they didnt have what we were looking for or we wouldn't of been able to try sushi too. Quick service to the table, kept water filled and food was great. We did have trouble finding a spot to park tho, we were in a rv tho so nothing against the establishment.
Delicious sushi, but the servings are somewhat small (even for sushi).
Kind attention. Tasty food at a good price. They serve the food fast.
Traditional Japanese cousin!! Good nigiris and rolls, price is ok I would say you can eat for $30 / person.
Good sushi, decent prices, helpful staff, fast service.
+Decent prices +Sushi Bar +Clean +There's a TV that sometimes plays early 2000s movies -Hard to find parking -Small
Great sushi and some interesting rolls, and it wasn't overly expensive. Definitely going back soon.
Delicious sushi, the staff is friendly and the place is very clean.
Decent Sushi @ fair prices. Our 3rd time. We will revisit!
I ordered this for delivery and it came earlier than expected. The price was very good and the food was delicious! Will definitely order from here again.
The food was good and the service was spot on. The sushi roll I got a a bit small but it was good. I think that they re specially rolls are the larger ones. The gyoza was crispy and light. The miso was flavorful. What I really enjoyed was that they gave you a whole pot of tea to keep at the table! The perfect place to go to on a rainy day.
This is good sushi at a reasonable price. There is nothing exciting to mention, but if you are looking for take out these guys are fast and good. The wait staff is also very friendly and quick!
I had been to this place for several times. For the first few visits I tried udon and katsu and those are all pretty decent. I would have given it 5 stars if that's all I tried. However, I ordered beef Teriyaki the last time and the beef is too hard to chew, and I would give it only 3 stars or even 2 stars for its beef Teriyaki. So 4 stars in general.
Overpriced and mediocre. Oh well, it's not like there is a better Japanese place nearby right? (wink. wink)
Seriously the best sushi I ever had. I ordered the crazy dragon roll and shrimp spring roll. The sauce for the spring rolls was so good. I never tasted that sauce before. It was delicious. The crazy dragon roll was amazing. Definitely my favorite sushi I've ever had. I'm definitely ordering from here again
The food here is okay, but the sushi chefs put much more emphasis on flare and presentation than on taste and quality. Delivery is hit or miss too depending upon the driver and how motivated they are feeling, I guess. Overall Sushi Too will do but don't expect to be wowed by tremendous fish.
Friendly staff, yummy food, decent/standard prices. I've been here a couple of times now. Their bento boxes are always a good choice to get a nice variety and a full stomach at a good price. They also have noodle soup, which with "lo mein" is essentially a basic ramen. It was very very hot, but the pork was fantastic. I also tried the fried duck roll. Yum.
the sushi seemed fresh and is inexpensive. I have went here twice. The place is small and the not too nice inside. The food is a little above average. I have only eaten the sushi but they do carry chinese/japanese entrees
Everything you would expect of a sushi restaurant. The menu was interesting, the fish was extremely fresh, and the service was friendly. I will return to this restaurant!
Food had a bad smell. Chicken was chewy and soggy... vegetable egg rolls are very small... do not expect a normal egg roll....
