A pretty dang decent sushi joint! Everything was pretty good and tasty. The takoyaki was wonderful and perfectly cooked. The deep fried ice cream was delicious, but naturally so, the fried batter got soggy pretty quickly. My only disappointment was that they didn't use ramen noodles in the ramen.
Best Sushi place in town. Fresh food and friendly and attentive servers. Also very reasonable price.

I really enjoyed eating here. The sushi was great, unique, and there was a bunch of variety for a vegetarian. It's also a really cute small spot - perfect for a date or meeting. The staff was really friendly and on the ball.
You will need to ask for water if you do want it. The tea is perfect too!;

Seriously this place is not recommended. I don't understand why people all gave it 5 stars. The tonkotsu ramen I ordered doesn't taste like ramen at all. The 3 pieces tonkotsu are too much greasy and chewy. The soup tastes bad too. I don't know why they even put bean sprouts in the ramen which makes the flavour even worse. My friends ordered sushi rolls and they said they were pricy and quality of the rolls weren't worth for the price.
This is the best sushi in Saskatoon! They have a cozy atmosphere, fresh food, sake, and it's priced decently.

It was a place for good sushi and good ambiance. Our server maybe needed to be more attentive to bring a few services (soy sauce, tea?) to the table rather than waiting for a reminder?

First off great food, great service, great atmosphere. The food is top notch (tempura yummm)and the sushi is divine (Toro *drool*). Also *very* fast! Servers were nice, polite and tended to us exactly when we needed it. Chefs and servers thanked us as we left which was fantastic! Clean, bright, and perfect music volume made for easy chatting without awkward silence. Awesome experience and new go to place for sushi!

We ordered a couple of the signature rolls, gomae, spicy agadashi, and cold soba for take out. Everything was extremely flavourful, and very well presented in the take out containers. Looking forward to ordering again, and visiting the restaurant when things open up again!
Despite the furnace not working, the hot and extra hot sake will warm you up. The sushi was exceptional, a must for any sushi enthusiast.

Deliciously fresh! This is one of our top go-to spots for sushi in the city. Sushi is always fresh, and the portions are more than enough for sharing. Very clean, modern Asian decor. Try any of the bentos too!
Amazing food and great prices. We showed up with a decent group and a large order about an hour before closing, we asked if we were good before we sat down. The staff were awesome. Very friendly, accommodating and quick. We will be back for sure to enjoy another awesome meal.
Absolutely the best sushi place in Saskatoon, I'm never going anywhere else. I've had both dine in and take out and it's all around great! Clean and quiet restaurant, awesome and quick customer service, super nice employees... Same thing for take out orders, the people are always super nice and happy to take your order over the phone. The sushi and sashimi is amazing and authentic, fresh, and big pieces of fish - I feel like most other places give such tiny pieces and not fresh at all. I like how simple the rolls are, not overly soaked in mayo. Usually we'll eat sushi once every couple of months but since trying this place, I could definitely eat it once a week lol.
This place was so good. Tough location but I'll tell everyone I know to go there for sushi. Best sushi in the city hands down.
Loved it! Very friendly staff, delicious food and very fresh food.
Five stars are not enough. Head and shoulders above any other sushi in town. Even the California and Dynamite rolls were fantastic- we were impressed by every part of our meal. We will certainly return and I hope they make a success of that location.
If you want large portions of excellent sushi, this is where you want to go.

Definitely the best sushi in the city. You can tell the care put into everything from the ingredients to the preparation to the service. The space is cozy and the service is welcoming. This should absolutely be your first choice when going out for amazing Japanese cuisine.

So the sashimi was definitely better than most of the other places in Saskatoon but I wasn t big on the cost, 10 pieces was $22. Maybe I m just comparing prices from other cities. Either way with just the two items we ordered below plus miso soup (which was luke warm), I paid $45. We were hungry when we left. Also not sure what was going on with the soy sauce but it was really salty (just like Otowa when it was in Saskatoon). The size of the sashimi was what saved the night.

Decided to try this place out when our target diner turned out to be closed. Have to admit, was a stroke if luck for us. The Sushi was fantastic, with an awesome variety. While I initially felt it was a bit pricey compared to other places, I quickly discovered it was worth every penny. Definitely my new go to for Japanese.

Ill start off by saying that I am very VERY sad to give this place 1 star, because the food is great...BUT, I will explain why so that people can plan accordingly, and so that the restaurant can fix these huge issues. I arrived with a larger group (under 10 ppl - all were first-timers), and we even called ahead to make sure that the kitchen wasn't caught off guard. When we got in there, there was only a couple tables of people...so it wasn't busy whatsoever...and it took about 15 just to get the attention of the waitress (who seemed VERY afraid of talking to us) to place our order. Once we got our orders in, none of us had drinks.....nor were we given anything except one cup of tea at the very beginning. After about a half an hour of waiting, our starters still never came out, and we had to once again flag down the wait staff to order beverages. I will also state that our orders we placed were EXTREMELY minimal (like 1 roll for some people and 1 bento for another) so its not like we were overwhelming the kitchen with orders......................about 1 HOUR passed at this point, and still no starters, barely any drinks, and we were ITCHING to leave!! Everyone was beyond angry, we were hungry, we were thirsty, and we were deliberating about walking out immediately because we figured (since we've been ignored over and over again) that no one would care. The very few tables around us were all getting served, the wait staff were sprinting around the restaurant (which made us think they were flustered), and those of us who drove to the restaurant had to go and pay for ANOTHER parking ticket because our times were up. Id like to also point out that AT NO POINT did the staff come to check on us to say sorry and update us on the status of our food...we were literally left for dead. Once 1 hour and 25 minutes passed, we just began to get some of our food, and others were left hungry and waiting until the rest of us were finished. The starters came out last (some came out just before we left).....and once again the staff seemed like they couldn't care less....and there was no sincere apologies. The people who received their food last after everyone had already eaten were SO mad, that they didn't even finish their meals. And finally....the cherry on top, was that when we went to pay, the one staff member guy barely said sorry...didnt seem to care at all...and STILL wanted to charge us full price for everything?!?!?!?! I have eaten all over the world, and I have NEVER been so disgusted by the way this place was operated. Every single person, upon departure, stated that they will never ever go back to this place, nor will they ever recommend it to anyone. I have personally worked in the service industry for years and years - both in serving and management positions for some of the busiest places....so what I have to say for the sake of your business is please fix your operation and management skills, SERIOUSLY fix your staff (or just remove them from serving jobs - maybe have them do something else like bussing) because no one in that restaurant (both staff and patrons) looked happy to be there....and your wait staff that were on during this visit severely lacked basic interpersonal skills and basic skill/knowledge of a server. Your food is way too good to have service and operation levels like this......absolutley unacceptable and severely disappointing. I can't guarantee that people are going to be as nice and forgiving as we were next time this happens.
Amazing sushi! Really fresh and delicious and well-prepared. Unfortunately, there aren't a lot of gluten-free options, but if that isn't a concern, then this is the best sushi place in town.
We were craving for sushi, so we gave this place a try. Everything was so delicious. We got Tai Ceviche (red snapper), Chicken Kara-age, Oyster motoyaki, Raku Signiture roll, and spicy salmon roll. The chicken and sushi rolls were ok to us but Tai Ceviche and Oyster were extremely amazing. The Red Snapper tasted so fresh and the sauce with that was so yummy. Oysters baked in oven were literally melt in your mouth. We will go back to try more items for sure and highly recomended!!!
Do not order through foodex. My order sat at the restaurant for an hour and a half before the driver showed up. Sushi was still good but soggy by the time it got here. It took a total of 2.5 hours after I ordered. Next time I order it'll be from somewhere else. Or if I do order again, I'll phone them directly and order. Foodex said they will refund me my money. We'll see if it shows up.

The best Japanese restaurant in Saskatoon, as a Japanese I can relate. The fish they use is the best quality around here and portions are generous. The rice could be more seasoned though. Service is good, and the presentation is fantastic.

I was excited to try Sushi Raku as it was highly recommended to me by a friend. It did not disappoint! Decor is very nice, atmosphere is calm and pleasant. There are plenty of booth style seating as well as table/chair seating. I found it extremely clean and organized. Staff is welcoming and friendly. I visited the restaurant at 2pm and ordered one of the 3 lunch specials. It included miso soup, tempura vegetables/shrimp and choice of roll for $15 which is very reasonable in my opinion. I opted for the green tea for my beverage. I do believe it is a licensed establishment in case you wanted something stronger than tea. It was filling and delicious. Highly recommend.
I am over the moon to have such first-rate sushi in Saskatoon! The owner and staff are beyond excellent - incredibly gracious and professional and friendly. The thick-cut, ultra-fresh sashimi is the best I've ever had in any city, anywhere. The last time we were there, we ordered the assorted sashimi; they must have been out of the sockeye and the tuna, because instead they substituted the more expensive hamachi!! We were thrilled, what a generous thing to do instead of just begging off that item and saying that all their fish orders did not come in. The sake is cheap, and the green tea is free-flowing ... Raku is pure class :)
Healthy style for bento dish picker with fancy arrangement that opens up your appetite, sushi and sashimi bit pricier than other places but heard the ingredients used are more fresh rather rather than other places are frozen seafood.
Amazing sushi!! They took the time to make it look as fantastic as it tastes even when it was take out. On top of that they added a card in our meal for me and my wife's anniversary!! Definitely going back especially for the Raku signature roll.
