Ill start off by saying that I am very VERY sad to...

Ill start off by saying that I am very VERY sad to give this place 1 star, because the food is great...BUT, I will explain why so that people can plan accordingly, and so that the restaurant can fix these huge issues. I arrived with a larger group (under 10 ppl - all were first-timers), and we even called ahead to make sure that the kitchen wasn't caught off guard. When we got in there, there was only a couple tables of people...so it wasn't busy whatsoever...and it took about 15 just to get the attention of the waitress (who seemed VERY afraid of talking to us) to place our order. Once we got our orders in, none of us had drinks.....nor were we given anything except one cup of tea at the very beginning. After about a half an hour of waiting, our starters still never came out, and we had to once again flag down the wait staff to order beverages. I will also state that our orders we placed were EXTREMELY minimal (like 1 roll for some people and 1 bento for another) so its not like we were overwhelming the kitchen with orders......................about 1 HOUR passed at this point, and still no starters, barely any drinks, and we were ITCHING to leave!! Everyone was beyond angry, we were hungry, we were thirsty, and we were deliberating about walking out immediately because we figured (since we've been ignored over and over again) that no one would care. The very few tables around us were all getting served, the wait staff were sprinting around the restaurant (which made us think they were flustered), and those of us who drove to the restaurant had to go and pay for ANOTHER parking ticket because our times were up. Id like to also point out that AT NO POINT did the staff come to check on us to say sorry and update us on the status of our food...we were literally left for dead. Once 1 hour and 25 minutes passed, we just began to get some of our food, and others were left hungry and waiting until the rest of us were finished. The starters came out last (some came out just before we left).....and once again the staff seemed like they couldn't care less....and there was no sincere apologies. The people who received their food last after everyone had already eaten were SO mad, that they didn't even finish their meals. And finally....the cherry on top, was that when we went to pay, the one staff member guy barely said sorry...didnt seem to care at all...and STILL wanted to charge us full price for everything?!?!?!?! I have eaten all over the world, and I have NEVER been so disgusted by the way this place was operated. Every single person, upon departure, stated that they will never ever go back to this place, nor will they ever recommend it to anyone. I have personally worked in the service industry for years and years - both in serving and management positions for some of the busiest places....so what I have to say for the sake of your business is please fix your operation and management skills, SERIOUSLY fix your staff (or just remove them from serving jobs - maybe have them do something else like bussing) because no one in that restaurant (both staff and patrons) looked happy to be there....and your wait staff that were on during this visit severely lacked basic interpersonal skills and basic skill/knowledge of a server. Your food is way too good to have service and operation levels like this......absolutley unacceptable and severely disappointing. I can't guarantee that people are going to be as nice and forgiving as we were next time this happens.
