After initially giving this place 4 stars, I am changing it to 1 star. I have eaten here several times. The food is always at a 4 star level.
But there is a waitress during lunch that makes you feel like she is doing you a favor by waiting on you. Absolutely condescending and rude for no reason whatsoever. Today is the 3rd time she waited on me at lunch and it will be my last. I'm always nice and tip well but this business doesn't deserve my money.
This is by far my favorite sushi place in tampa. I've lived here for over a year, tried over a dozen different places. The sushi jo there is the best value for the money.
This is only if you're wanting traditional sushi. Tbh idk anything about their rolls. I am not a fan of any sushi rolls. I only like nigiri.
Went here not expecting much, but I was blown away by just about everything. The dining area is amazing. We had some sushi and chicken tempura. Both were perfectly made, and looked great on the plate. The food was out quickly, but we went at 4 so it wasn't busy (most sushi places aren't even open at that hour). Our drinks were refilled quickly, and service was quick.
Food is very authentic! I went many of korean restaurants in Tampa and Sushi Ninja's Korean food is the most authentic one! Their lunch box is really awesome and worths the money. Unfortunately, we arrived at 2:55pm and they didn't let us order lunch box when we visited second time.
I've been there twice, and I have to say their sushi is one of the best ones in Tampa. I went the first time, and had to come back the following week: that's how good it was. I have not tried their Korean menu, but that is for another night out. I recommend all things deep fried, particularly sushi. :)
Very friendly staff with good, fresh sushi. The sushi bar looked really nice, but it's closed off because of COVID. I will be going back to enjoy the inside when it opens!
The food is always great. Good range of authentic Korean dishes at reasonable prices. Japanese selection is also very good with fish always tasting fresh. They have done a GREAT job with Covid spread mitigating measures. While we have not gone back to do dine in, we have done plenty of take out and I have been impressed to see how seriously they are taking the CDC and city recommendations
We went early for dinner. So it was pretty empty for a Friday. The inside is lovely, a little dark. We were seated and you can choose from either the sushi menu or Korean menu. There is also, a happy hour Monday-Friday 3-6. The menu is extensive and varied. A lot of the sushi rolls have cream cheese. There was only a single server and while it wasn't incredibly busy, service was a little slow. That being said... the food was awesome!! We ordered some off the Korean menu and kimchi as well as a sushi roll. We asked for spicy and the flavor was perfect. The sushi was perfectly constructed with fresh ingredients.
Went in on a Friday night after a downpour, so the parking conditions were horrible in the back.. The front imediate parking was very limited although once I got inside the restaurant was nice.. Good customer service i got seated right away. Sushi was GREAT and prepared fresh
Man, no one has ever told me about this place and it was pretty darn good. It wasn't the top of the line sushi (like Samuari Blue or similar), but reasonably priced and definitely above the grade that you get at places like Publix.
Service was good and we got served pretty fast. Busy but not too crowded on a Friday night and our drinks were pretty good too. Coming back for sure and a good mix up to Chef Thai and Sushi and Soho Sushi. Better for me as it's super close.
They have best korean menus in Tampa. Their side dishes are just like home made and so tasty and their Jjampong and Hot stone Bibim bop is must try. Also their staffs are the best.
Excellent sushi and presentation, waiters and waitress are so nice and polite, everything is clean with temp check and sanitizer everywhere..i recommend this place.
One of Tampa's newest sushi restaurants plus Korean. So many excellent menu choices. Full Liquor Bar with a variety of specialty drinks. I recommend this place highly
Great food. Take out orders are packaged well. Friendly staff. I appreciate how diligent they've been with checking temps at door and following a mask mandate. I've eaten both their sushi/sashimi items and Korean menu . Everything is super tasty. I do feel though, post-COVID, their Korean dishes have dropped "slightly", so little perhaps most ppl don't notice, but I do, cause I've eaten so much Korean dishes here over the years. Still this place is an 8/10.
I waited more than 30 mins for my sushi and then I was told the ticket was somehow lost and my sushi was never made. Terrible service. when I asked for compensation, the waitress said just pay the bill . I did not see any sincere apologies. By the way the udon noodles was ok at best. Terrible service.
A wide array of food and a sushi with a lot of traditional dishes as well. All of the sushi rolls were fantastic and was surprised by the amount of different dishes. Will definitely come back, great for those with an experimental palate as well!
Sushi Ninja s MENU CAN BE OVERWHELMING WITH KOREAN DISHES, SUSHI ROLLS, typical local Japanese, and alcoholic beverages. Would this place deliver only quantity over quality? However everything was great-- NOT PHENOMENAL BUT STILL DELICIOUS. Our SIMPLE TUNA ROLL AND SALMON ROLL revealed Rice & Fish with great texture and a slight squish while the Fish flavors were subtle. Our KOREAN DISHES CAME WITH BANCHAN (little side dishes, mostly Kimchee-like) and that helped to REALLY fill us up. The NOODLES OF MY JAJANGNYUN (thick Noodles blackened with Soybean Paste mixed with Diced Pork and Veggies) were initially all stuck together but this very filling dish TASTED GREAT AND GAVE ME LEFTOVERS. Fiance s Gal Bi Tang (Beef Short Rib Soup with Glass Noodles) needed Salt but the Meat was cooked very soft. The price (close to $16) seemed high.
The food is good and the service is amazing! Mimi, the owner is hands on in the kitchen as she has a heart of gold. She also knows how to make Japanese and Korean dishes!
The freshest sushi, that I have EVER had. In Miami I tried almost all sushi restaurants and although there were some good ones, I'll take Sushi Ninja anyday. Thank you for keeping up with high standards, despite the pandemic
Sushi Ninja has improved their game and now compares very well with SoHo Sushi. Extensive sushi menu, and also extensive Korean menu. Very small parking lot - you may need to park in the adjoining neighborhood.
The amount of meals is more than expected. There are Korean dishes and Japanese sushi and sashimi. The price is slightly higher. It is more cost-effective to eat more people. There are also meals and side dishes in the army pot. It is practical to write 2 people. 5 people can eat until the Korean fried chicken is sweet and not spicy, and the kimchi pancake is very delicious.
This is the perfect place to enjoy authentic korean cusines & Japanese sushi. This place . is firmly recommendable to experience authentic flavor. It is really great place for me who always look for good restaurants.
