Amazing beer, great food, awesome environment. This is a really great place, and the outdoor extended patio/park space is great for a group of friends to hangout without being crammed at a table.

Biggest and best brewery experience in the state. Great food, great pizza upstairs, a large beer selection and a great merchandise store make this a wonderful experience. Good location near the light rail line. Can be a bit busy during the summer but there's plenty of room outside too

This is one of my husbands favorite places to go out on our date nights. We try and get here at least twice a month also it is one place we like to bring our Florida friends when they come and visit us in the summer! Most have never been to a brewery with such an extraordinary tour set up! The outdoor entertainment that they have set up with the fireplaces makes it a very nice and one of a kind experiences around the twin cities! Did i mention they have pizza!! And the pizza is a great midnight snack (not that we re ever out that late but it s great!) we really like this business!!

I always have a great time here. Many unique beer options. To be honest though, the menu for the restaraunt is over price and does not taste good at all. The pizza upstairs though is superb. I highly suggest to get that instead of the food below.

They have a great outside area you can hang out.

We ordered pizza and it was ok, way over priced. The establishment felt way to corporate. The service was bad and the waitress and waiters were rude. We were disappointed. We drove 50 minutes to celebrate my husbands birthday. We'll find a different place next year.

Somehow can't remember nor do I have all the pictures, but through the three of us were tried all the beers they don't can and then some. Honestly I enjoyed everything we had. Believe my favorite was the Fall to Pieces.... Or the Polygon. We also had a fantastic bartender that night as well. Props and thanks again.

Got the Nashville Hot sandwich, if you can't make it to Revival, eat this. Friends got the a couple sausages and the plate looked damn good. Should've taken a post picture of it after too
I'm impressed each time I come here for food and drink. This time actually got to go upstairs to play a little pinball as well.

The beers obviously are exceptional and the atmosphere is awesome, the only knock on the place would be the food options, the menu is pretty small and expensive, one of the cheaper options is he cheeseburger but they all come the same way, absolutely no customization. It's odd they won't take off an ingredient for you but they justified it as their kitchen is small and working too hard which is understandable. If you're coming just for drinks this place is awesome, if you're coming for dinner too just be prepared for what you're getting, this is tap room that serves food, not a restaurant

Truly a destination brewery with a rotating tap selection that has yet to disappoint. Masters in hops and dark, coffee-infused beers, they're quietly working their way into stellar sours. Amazing food, from delicate farro salads to hearty meats, they ace every dish. Be warned- these guys like spice. There's a great outdoor space, with fire pits and plenty of seating; however, expect a wait for a table, especially if you're in a big group. Your best bet is to saddle up to the bar, where you can enjoy the full menu and get quicker service.

Everything is great downstairs. EVERYTHING.

Everything is great downstairs. EVERYTHING.

Upstairs is a whole 'nother story (no, just no). This review is for DOWNSTAIRS and OUTSIDE. Amazing mussels, amazing pork, amazing salads, amazing beer, and amazing pretty much everything downstairs.

Well done, Surly! You really have dazzled with your new brewery that showcases your commitment to your brew, your culture, and your future. The new location in Northeast is a state of the art facility that stands out among the rest. After having lived in the Midwest for 4 years, I've seen my fair share of breweries and I was so pleasantly surprised to see a tap room that is unique for its sleek design, enormous seating area, multiple bar options, and unique full dine-in food menu.

To start off, you meet the hostess upon entering and they will seat you in the main floor tap room with sit down drink and/or food service. This place can seat hundreds in the hall alone. Alternate options include seating at the bar or standing at the over flow bar on the second floor if the place gets packed. Our beers were of course, perfect. You'll have the option of ordering a flight, smaller pours, or pints. My personal favorites are Hell and Cynic. My group ordered from the dinner menu and everyone was happy with their picks. The menu has a Southern BBQ feel but also includes upscale bar items including lamb meatballs with an amazing fresh salad, charcuterie menu, and seafood options. Surly truly has something for everyone especially as they have a separate children's menu. The number of kids I saw on a weekend night shows how family friendly the tap room is. Future dining options will be the second floor fine dining restaurant and catering hall for events which are still under construction.

My favorite part of the tap room is the glass wall that overlooks the brew room and showcases it almost like an art exhibit. This has become the focal point of the Surly experience, and you're reminded of the fact that this is the home of great brewing from the minute you walk in. What's even better is that Surly is a destination for the summer. The first floor tap room hall has doors that can be opened up to a patio/deck, and bike racks that can fit hundreds of parked bikes have been set up.

A+ experience overall. Can't wait to return!

Dinner was nice. Typical brewery-style eatery. Several types of beers available. Has private party room upstairs for large groups. Also, there is a gift shop in case you would like a souvenir T-shirt, mug, backpack with the logo.

We ordered Hog Frites and they were worth every penny and more! Tried four different beers and none disappointed. Great space to hang with a large group of friends and get a bite to eat. Would recommend to anyone anytime. House made hot sauce and BBQ sauce were to die for.

Great beer, but waiting in line for a beer is a new experience for me, can't see that I'll be doing that on a regular basis, since a number of local bars serve Surly. Have also eaten at Surly twice and have been unimpressed- I guess I was expecting the quality of the food to be close to the restaurant they had in Linden Hills.

Beer was amazing. Wait time was short and quick. Food presentation looked 5 star material. Pizza top floor which we didn't know about. Fancy layout and super chill. Only down side was that parking is almost always full. But that may speak true to how much people love this place.

Our first time at Surly was a success! I have some food allergies and our server Skylar was so helpful at answering all my questions and being patient as I figured out what I could and could not eat. She was also super happy and positive! The whole experience was fantastic!

Awesome place! Although the wait was at least 45 min for food, it was worth it. Staff is friendly, the ambiance is laid back, the beer hall was very crowded but no issues otherwise. They have a small wait section with children's books, so the little ones can at least stay busy during the wait. I was a little disappointed they don't offer flights, but my server allowed me to taste 3 beers: Cacao Bender, Abrasive IPA, and Witch's Tower. Although I love IPAs I had to go with the Cacao Bender in a 10oz tulip glass. I'll be back but would like to see what other Twin Cities breweries have to offer.

We were in Lawrence KS, home of the Jayhawks, over Memorial weekend and brought along a couple of Coffee Bender 4 packs. We could have sold them for much more than we paid but we wanted new friends to experience something great. We plan on going down again over the 4th of July and bringing more to those poor neglected people. We were asked if it is available in the Kansas City area. Is it?

NE IPA was great, ventured off my normal routine for the next beer which was a long boil lager clocked in at 9.7% ABV. Surly never disappoints, looking forward to their pizza place that will be opening soon.

Great atmosphere, nice indoor space, fantastic outdoor space, love the giant glass doors that open up the beer hall in nice weather. Beer is great, good choices. Food is good too! Firepits outside are idealic.

Surly is a must-see. This is one of our best local breweries. Great outdoor space, indoor space, gift shop, bathrooms, etc. I was disappointed in the new Surly pizza. Flavors were exotic, but not in a good way.

I had never been to the Surly Brewery before and I must say it was a wonderful experience! For being in the cities I love the fact that they have a huge parking lot. It s always a pain parking in Minneapolis/ St.Paul areas for me personally so this was wonderful. We signed up the day before online and we had no issues with getting our reservation or confusion with their system. We were welcomed to bring a beer with us on the tour as well. Our guide was Megan or Melissa, I cannot remember her name (shameful I know) and she was wonderful, friendly and knowledgeable! We got to sample theee different beers along the tour as well as receive a small souivneer glass, lots of stickers, coasters and I managed to get a free drink ticket as well for a correct guess to a question. I d highly recommend this as a date or if you have family visiting or are just looking for a good time. And for $6 who can beat that price?!?! I ve also hear wonderful things about the food as well but my date and I drank our dinner instead.

I've been a fan of Surly beer for a while but as much as I want to like this place, I've had a few experiences that have stood out as negative and my latest visit was more of the same. I asked the waitress a couple of questions about the brewing process and she could not have seemed more annoyed if she tried. It was under a minute of her time and it was clear that she did not care to spend any time talking about the beer we were paying for. What's the point of experiencing a brewery in person if the staff are not interested in taking even a minute or two to make it an enjoyable experience?! The beer is good but skip the tap room. It's over-hyped and I've never had good service here.

Great beers and the set up is amazing! I was so excited for my first time and didn't understand the outdoor seating arrangements and when I moved to sitting on the other side of the table due to the drift of cold air, I was called out, yelled at and forced to move, so embarrassing! Thank goodness my partner agreed to move to my seat and we didn't have to make it a bigger seen by asking the server to move us elsewhere. For a brewery with such good beers, you'd think they'd hire just as good people and this wasn't the case - I'll go somewhere else to drink Surly's for a better experience.

This place is amazing! It's huge, has so much to do (bean bags, fire pit, outdoor movies, etc.), great beer with lots of varieties, and the food is amazing! There are two levels and a great space for groups and meetings.

Deeeeelicious food and exceptional beer(s)! There is a variety of both, enough to certainly please just about anyone. The atmosphere is industrial/warehouse-y, very clean and huge. Although it gets loud, it is still fairly comfortable to have conversation among a small group of 3-4 folks. After that it's pretty difficult to hear everyone. Definitely will be back for some more of that yummy Witch's Tower!

Awesome food, awesome beers, great atmosphere. Outdoor seating is great in the summer days. Recommend all the food on their menue! Dessert is the only weak part on the menu. The three kinds of desert I tried, the pistachio one is not good... But overall, it's a very good experience.

Love Surley. Love their concert venue. They have to do something about traffic, though. Stuck for 40 mins because the guys, who has a flag and is sitting outside the gate, is on his phone rather than directing traffic.

As always surly is a fantastic stop for those visiting Minneapolis, or those that are residents of Minnesota. On multiple occasions though I've noticed anywhere from 4 to 12 electric vehicles or hybrids in the parking lot, it would be pretty nice to have a charging port nearby especially with the battery drain affect that Minnesota winter's have on EV, but as always a great place to stop. Xtra Citra is best
