Great place to hang out whether with family, kids or friends! Good food!
Great place to hang out whether with family, kids or friends! Good food!
Coffee taste great and the pasties are fine if you are into adventures tastes and interesting baking styles and novel takes on classics (oreos!?)
But come for the burger and shake. The only thing that would make that combination better would be some french fries to dip into that shake!
They also have great seating although it always feels like there a thousand kids there.
Nice ambiance but the food and drinks seemed over priced for what you were actually getting.
Loved the Spanish Latte! They said it is made with condensed milk and I really enjoyed the flavors of this drink. Nice creamy sweetness to it without being too sweet. One of their specialty drinks is their mushroom latte. I was really interested in this but I wanted a dosage of caffeine in me. Although they said it has effects similar to caffeine as a non-caffeinated drink, I decided not to order it. Still interested in trying it one day, but I would stick with caffeine any day. hahaha. I really like their cups too - theyre super cute.
Their house-made madeleines are delicious but they are very very small pieces so I think $5 is on the pricey side for this.
Their toasts/food look delicious so hoping to try them out one day. Their space has lots of seating inside and outside. Nice lighting with large windows all around.
Pros: super dog friendly
Cons: heard they don't have any outlets
Awesome cafe, great breakfast options, plenty of seating. Lots of parking. Dog friendly patio. Friendly staff. Excellent spot.
They gave my order to the another person. I knew it too. I thought, Why are you getting your Avocado Toast before me when I ordered before you? That woman proceeded to eat my sandwich until hers came out, then took my literally half-eaten toast back and said, "I think I got the wrong one, sorry." I looked at her order and couldn't believe that that mistake was genuine. I got an Avocado Toast and she ordered the Soft Egg Tartine- uh, they look NOTHING alike. There's was no way she accidentally got the wrong thing.
Additionally, it wasn't busy at all. So many employees standing around doing nothing with no one in line and no one but me, that person who stole my toast and her friend waiting for our orders. How did you manage to screw this up?
I don't know why it takes so long to get your food. There were barely any customers there and so many employees. I ordered an AVOCADO TOAST. It's one slice of bread with raw avocado and a few raw leaves and 2 pieces of sliced ninja radish. They're not cooking or preparing anything and to make matters worse, I had to wait twice as long to get my food because of them giving my order to the wrong person. There was no attempt on their part to make up for that or even hurry up the order.
My pregnant girlfriend got her salad so far ahead of my order and wouldn't eat it because she was waiting on my stupid toast to come out. Then when I finally got it, the toast was so tough, I couldn't even cut it with the knife. It was so hard to eat. My matcha was awful, completely watered down. It was so weak you could barely taste it.
Also, if you're there for the 'Gram, prepare to be disappointed. They have those awful lights that shine down in the worst possible way for photography. They cast ugly shadows over everything. Forget about trying to do a flatlay shot. You're not going to get it indoors. This place was so frustrating. Overpriced and overrated. Do not recommend.
One of my favorite breakfast spots. Great coffee and tea, and a friendly neighborhood atmosphere!
Love this cute coffee house. Very relax if I try to read some books in the morning or finish some assignments. The latte is very delicious and food is definitely amazing. I usually will order avocado toast and yogurt bowl.
Was excited to finally see this place open. It is walking distance from my office so it is super convenient.
What I like about Superba:
*I love that there is plenty of seating inside and out.
*Great selection of food and drinks.
*Friendly staff.
*Free WiFi
*Free parking in their private lot.
Only gripe is there are no outlets so if you plan on working make sure you're charged up before heading over.
I will definitely be back!
The food was really good, but kinda expensive and not fulfilling.
Service is friendly. It is nice environment for a quick bite. The food is prepared professionally with good-quality ingredients. Yet, it is does not quite satisfy. The egg toast is just that, egg on toast. No lettuce. No tomato. No garnish whatsoever. Similarly, the French toast (actually a bread pudding) comes straight out of the oven with just some maple syrup. It is perfectly fine, but it could use some fresh fruit to add some acidity to the dish. Perhaps, I am nitpicking. If in a real hurry, I might come here to skip the lines at Urth Caffe.
Just ok, wasn't too impressed sadly. Out of most things by noon, they default serve most coffee drinks in disposable cups yet they charge tax on those said coffee drinks. No latte art on their drinks, which is somewhat standard these days. For Pasadena it's just ok, so much competition in the area. For food, Urban Plates would be similar and coffee, well anywhere else would be better.
Lovely staff, dining room was clean although full and good prices on coffee. Conveniently located right across the street from the gold line. Dog friendly on the patio.
Coffee is extra creamy and frothy! Love the yogurt and the toast is scrumptious! Will go back weekly!
Cool spot to check out in Pasadena...but a little stingy with the bacon for the price!
Will definitely come back to try other items on their menu! The open space design is comforting and perfect for a good way to start your Sunday morning.
The Avocado Toast had just the right amount of spices, sour and sweet included in the dish along with the levian, pickled red onion and ninja radish. The Breakfast Sandwich had fluffy eggs and a buttery croissant to compliment the beeler's bacon, dressed greens and yellow cheese.
Best latte in Pasadena but ask for extra hot or it comes out just above tepid. Love the breakfast sand. I order gluten free w/o bread and it's a delicious bowl.
Liked it for sure! Total euro-merican cafe that's pretty darn good!
So I've been to the Superba in Venice. So awesome that Superba is in Pasadena! Food here is amazing. Layout inside is roomier than appears from outside. Outdoor seating on both sides and massive open windows makes the whole space feel like it's outdoor seating anyway.
Superba and Pitfire Pizza next door are owned and run by same parent company. Both great locations.
Extraordinary service and food. Bright, contemporary environment to hang in rain and shine.
I really love Superba! I've had their coffee and toasts. I love the cheesey egg toast. And really enjoy the ricotta toast with peaches. Their Spanish latte is also to die for; it's a latte with condensed milk and a sprinkle of cinnamon. It's not too sweet, just right!
Those with little ones, keep in mind there are no changing tables in the bathrooms.
The coffee wasn t bad, could be stronger.
The vibe was good tho
Their breakfast sandwich was great. I added chicken to make it a little heartier. The tator tots were just like what you think they should be. The madelines were soft and mosit with just a hit of lemon. And the kouign amman was an awesome flaky croissuant.
I would live in their store if they start to play some jazz.
Love this little spot. The food and drinks were good, and the atmosphere was brightly lit and cheerful. Crowded, but tables opened up pretty quickly.
This place is so cool, I love the design and the outdoor inside concept. The Decor is bright and colorful and food is healthy and delicious! Love it
Newly opened, worth checking out! Music a bit loud for 8:30 on a Saturday morning. There seems to be an odd trend that businesses assume customers are hard of hearing. Staff were quite friendly and accommodating. Fruit crostada was very very good. Latte excellent. Soft Egg Tartine had above average bread (substantial, nice chew), egg could, perhaps, been a bit softer. Very good for the price. Frittata was OK, slightly overdone. Jam was delicious, but it's a bit irritating that they usually charge extra for a small side of jam. Why not sell it by the jar? After tasting some with a meal, I think many customers would be interested!
Great breakfast spot and walking distance from Filmore station stop.
I love their Matcha and now I've had their Mocha which is also good. Once I shared their Tahini Brownie because it was gluten free. Good but easy too dense for me. Hit my stomach like a brick. I wish there were other options.
Why 4 stars if everything is good because it is expensive and small. For the price it should be better or maybe a little bit bigger. I do like that they have outdoor seating because during Covid it's nice to be able to have coffee with a friend and stay on one place.
The breakfast egg and bacon sandwich here is the absolute bidness! It's my favorite thing to order. Their latte is almost as good as Spoke Bicycle and Swork. Great atmosphere too. Very friendly staff.
I want coffee and my daughter said, I'll take you to a great spot. She's absolutely right Superba was very clean, bright, modern. I had the almond croissant & Americano it was the best ever. My daughter had the breakfast sandwich & shared the cookie. What a gem can't wait to come back
Stopped in for the first time. Cool energetic vibe. Had the sesame milkshake, chocolate croissant and the vitality shot. Impressed.
Stopped in and asked for their recommendation and was not disappointed. Had a Spanish latte and have been wanting another one since!
Found this place by chance on out trip down to Los Angeles! We got:
- Cheesy eggs with green onion (5/5 would recommend!)
- croque madam
- avo toast
- frittata
I really enjoyed the mushroom latte and the Spanish latte too.
It's nice for a little snack and coffee. Beware if you are light on funds. This place can get expensive fast.
Wow this is a great find. They really know how to do their drinks teas and coffees. I've only had four of their sandwiches so far and they were all gourmet. Their avocado toast is the best I've had and they're ham-and-cheese my daughter says that's the way they make them in Switzerland.
The breakfast sandwich and pickled cauliflower was gummy. Too many people working on their laptops and taking up space. It was literally 6 tables against the wall all taken up by people working on Macs
I'm pleased I found this place. At first I thought I would come in once I a while for a coffee and snack. But I have been a steady regular for about 4 weeks now. The coffee is spectacular! I recommend the spanish latte. I ordered the latter with oat milk in it was by far the best tasting latte I've ever had. I order now whenever I go in. The frittata was ever so delicious and their egg sandwich scrumptious. Compliments to the greats chef's whipping up these delights for the taste buds. They could work on customer service skills though. I asked if they served breakfast and I was coldly referred to look at the menu. That kind of response was not needed or appreciated. Other than that. Love this place.
Authentic sourfough items, nearly Gluten free and great coffee. Service is smiley!

Good, honest food. Like the semi+outdoor vibe. I are my little breakfast sandwich. All gone.
Music is too loud for the morning. Maybe queue it for the afternoon only?
Superba is a nice place for a light brunch if you're in the area. They have great baguettes which make good sandwiches and the pastries are unique. This location opened recently in addition to their original Venice location.
Roomy space with big open windows and plenty of sunny or shaded places to sit. Espresso drinks are great, and food is too. Relatively inexpensive compared to a lot of other nearby offerings, with delicious fresh bread. Only nitpick is have is that the music is slightly loud.
$14 for two sips of cold coffee and a cheese sammich. Are you kidding me? I'll go to 7/11 instead.
5, 5, 5! Food, service, ambiance. Their coffee is great, too! Especially their Spanish latte.
Be careful in this place because they will charge you you as they wish ! I used to be a regular customer I won t go there anymore until one of the cashier tried to charge me 56 cents to add splash of almond milk to my coffee !! Total greed !!!!
Great little offshoot of the main Superba that's located on the westside. While the Pasadena location has much smaller variety to choose from, there are solid choices.
I enjoy their cheesy egg toast and kouignn amman.
They don't have pour over coffee, but there are some interesting coffee and tea choices. The mushroom latte is a must for those looking for a umami rich drink
Superbar S+C is a simple little coffee shop along Arroyo Seco Pkwy at Pasadena. Their menu offers good food and coffee albeit limited. For breakfast, I had baked apple french toast with maple syrup and reg medium coffee. The toast was More
So good I will be going back often. Staff is amazing.
Saturday, mid morning, the place is a bit too noisy. Prices are a tad high for what you get. Overall, it's fine. Coffee is as good and priced the same as in other new-agey places in Pasadena. The architecture is nice, unfortunately stuck between a busy road across from an ugly CVS and a parking lot. They could keep it a bit cleaner. It's good if all you need is tasty caffeine. I would look for a quieter place if you want your coffee with a relaxing experience.
Good food with vegetarian options. Plenty of parking available.
Beautiful store and wonderful delicious latte.
Finally try it out this week after passing by so many times, the staffs are very friendly and the store are clean airy and peaceful (on Tues morning), I enjoy my little break here (very much).
