Was unbelievably excited to try this place. It was our first and last time here. Placed a drink order, 30 minutes went by and 1 of 3 drinks ordered arrived. 10 minutes later the other two got to our table. Besides the original greeting the server did not ask if we wanted any food. We got the check and will not be back as a result. Really disappointed...

Waitress wasn't too great. We figured she was working that day because it was a slow timeframe. Food was ok. We go once a year. Not really a place we'd visit once a week. Waited for a table for a bit even though the place was empty!

The ambiance is really nice with the backdrop of the airport. The food is mediocre. Really busy on Sunday pm. We had a party upstairs and the service was kind of slow and some of the drink orders were forgotten. Although the staff is very friendly, I guess with a large party and standard required gratuity, there is no having to please the customer. My 88 year old uncle ordered the calamari and it was tough and the coffee that was served after 10pm was so strong many guests couldn't drink it. There was no attempt to remediate-the waitress said thanks for the feedback and they still charged us. When spending almost $700, you would think a little more customer service would have been in order. Also, could use some cleaning- my feet kept sticking to the floor and the windows with the beautiful views had many smudged finger/handprints all over.

I am outraged with the type of service my wife received and I were treated by Saz the Manager. Saz was rude, dismissive and very unprofessional when I asked him if my wife and I could be seated somewhere else besides the bar because our seating time was up. I have been to sunset pub many of times, with coworkers, with friends, and family and I have never experienced such unprofessional-ism, disrespect and rudeness. The staff is always friendly, kind and always go out of their way to accommodate you if they can. As I was leaving, I asked the hostess for the Managers name. As she was giving me her name, Saz interrupted and said, do you want my bosses name as well. I ignored him and turned away. He followed me into the parking lot repeating, do you want my bosses name. I this time I felt threatened, I didn't want to get in a brawl with this kid in the parking lot. So my wife and I just left. As my wife and I were driving home, we couldn't believe this had just happened. My anger turned into sadness because we really enjoy going to sunset pub and its unfortunate that I will never go there again. Shame on you Saz, the Manager.

How can I put this in a nice way? Bad food? Bad service? Low class locals? Bad management with stupid friends hanging around using foul language? OH I got it! A DUMP. Stay away.

Always great food and friendly staff! Being located right at the Lincoln Park Airport is always fun watching the 2-seater planes coming and going. Today our lunch was fabulous portobello with pesto etc panini. And the cheese burger was totally enjoyed! The bar person always comes through with delightful drinks!

Great when opened, quickly went terrible. Service is horrible, staff is rude, food is worse than a cheap diner. Locals think its someplace special but they are blind to had badly they are getting robbed. And yes, I am a local to this now dump of an establishment, however I do not eat there anymore.

This is by far the worst customer service I've ever experienced in my entire 30 years of life. I am seriously fuming out the ears on how I was treated. I was here today around 6pm with my mother and two toddler sons. There were a fair amount of customers but not crowded at all. We were seated outside as soon as we walked in. We waited for a good 15-20 min and yet no one showed up to take our drink order. I told a waiter who was passing by we needed service and she said okay, went back inside and never came out. Waited another 3 min, told another server we needed service, he mumbled without acknowledging us and went inside as well. At this point, I'm pissed. Then I see a table of four grown men (who were seated after us) being served. This is when I flipped, gathered my things and went inside to speak to the manager. She comes out and I explained to her what happened. The only words to come out of her mouth was "I'm sorry to hear that".....then that proceeded with a blank stare and that was it. No resolution at all. Whomever is the owner of this place needs to send their manager to a course on customer service/management. I was seriously being ignored and not taken seriously by ANYONE working here. What a shame because this place is in a pretty cool location.

We happened to come upon this restaurant and glad that we did. They have two complete bar rooms with lots of tables for dining. It right next to the airport runway. My wife had the buffalo sliders with homemade potato chips. I had the turkey club. We both enjoyed the food very much. It also easy to access from the large parking lot.

Drink prices are a little up there. Everybody seemed courteous and up to par in terms of service though. 8 bucks for a kane head high, 10 for a Malibu bay breeze for the gf. If you're going to come here, come in the early evening AFTER a solid pre-game.

The Sunset Grill is a wonderful place right next to a buzzing and local airport. Dazzling and humorous waiters are going to guide you to your seats. Their food was soaring with flavor just like a Skyhawk. If you do not order the pretzel sticks as an appetizer, you are missing out on a buttery and salt encrusted dream. The Buffalo chicken quesadilla was a bit sloppy with the sauce; however, it provided a richness of flavor and kick. Even through the interior is bland, the atmosphere is spectacular. They also offer gluten free and vegan options, a total of eight items. Jaw dropping.

My goodness what's better than having lunch on the tarmac! Yesterday I had a Sunset Burger and it was beyond awesome! Bacon, monterrey pepperjack cheese and a fried egg on top! It was the perfect landing in my stomach! Friendly service and a great locale makes a unique and satisfying eating experience!

This restaurant has really gone down hill. Breakfast was its forte and now they've stopped serving it altogether. I really miss their eggs benedict specials. Food being served here looks like food anywhere else, just with a higher pricetag.

We've been to Sunset multiple times. I would stick to summer when going here so you can sit outside and watch the airplanes. This place is hit or miss. Sometimes it's great, another time we had to wait 90 minutes for our food. And I will also mention to be careful because my girlfriend got food poisoning the last time we went here. We'll be taking a break from here for a while I think now. Maybe next summer.

SP&G is a great place to have a nice family dinner with a few adult beverages. The food is really good and their selection covers all your finicky eaters. I love to go on the nights they have specials so we can try a new cocktail or a dinner item. It is great that you have the option of eating inside or outside during the nice weather. Always a great time!!!

Took a long time to get food in the bar. Had a salad and a burger off of the special menu. Burger was very good. Caprese salad was so so. There was noone sitting in the bar with us. Not good enough to make me want to go back again.

They charge for refills on everything. $3 for a soda and they charge for refills without telling you. The food tastes like it was all made in a microwave. I used to go for the nice scenery and convenience (and the food was once decent) but now I m not sure it s worth it

Honestly if it wasn t for the beautiful scenery this place would probably get two stars. The food is very hit or miss more of a mess than hit. I will say though the drinks are fantastic! My two favorites are the sunset punch and the killer coffee. The food really isn t that great and like I said very inconsistent. Other than that, staff is mostly friendly, but I have seen some attitude back-and-forth with other patrons.

It was not like past experiences which had been wonderful. We sat outside near an area that was being cleaned for a party. The person cleaning was using a landscaper blower so loud I couldn't hear my husband talk. The blower kicked up debris which flew towards our table and got in my eyes. It only stopped when my husband went inside and complained..My salad was swimming in a sweet, syrupy dressing. The shrimp were rubbery and tasted as if they had been cooked ahead and reheated in a microwave. The meal was basically inedible. I'm hoping this experience was a one off since in the past we loved it.
