This is hands down one of my favorite resorts in Utah. Skip the crowds and ridiculous monstrosities built onto the mountainsides of many other resorts. This place is beautiful, peaceful, and inspiring. Hard to find these days in Utah! It is also one of the best places to bring beginners. Lots of skiing for beginners with long runs and well as plenty of black diamonds! Diversity galore! The employees are wonderful and I loved how well they enforced the mask mandate at lift bases. I felt safe and plan on bringing my son before the end of the season. The nachos at the top of Back Mountain are almost as good as the view! Bishop s Bowl is one of the best runs there. I love Sundance and hope it never changes.

Had such a blast on the back mountain during the day that I decided to extend my day for night skiing! I also can t wait for the new renovations and lifts that will be put in before next season!

What a beautiful place. We did the full experience of walking around and it's such a cute and well kept place. We ate at the Foundry restuarant, we went to the cafe, we took the ski lift to the top to begin our hike to Stewart Falls and more. It's just a small area with shops, but the area around it is huge. Lots of beautiful trails and if you go in October, you can see the fall colors as the leave change. If you're ever in the area, this is a must visit. I can't keep saying how beautiful this place is.

Sundance Mountain Resort is like heaven. The suite was amazingly beautiful, staff friendly and helpful, ski lift view of mountain magnificent, art classes fun, and food so good that you'll never want to stop eating!!!!!!

The bad :

The bad :
Poorly managed. They often sell more tickets than capacity and turn people home due to parking capacity, some of the liftees are not trained well and don t manage lift safety very well, the road up to Sundance is not managed well in a storm. They react instead of get ahead of it ( 2 hours to travel 4 miles with 2 inches of snow that was forecasted all week )
I waited 10 minutes at the ticket office with no one in line to pick up a corporate pass because they had only one employee working the entire lift ticket office and he was chatting on the phone.

I hope the new owners turn this place around.

The good:
If you go on a weekday, it is conveniently close to orem, Provo and not too crowded.
The ski school is great to work with and has been awesome with my kids.

Sundance completely ruined our entire wedding experience. The customer experience was horrendous, unorganized, and stressful. They will provide you an estimate upfront for everything" but about 2 weeks prior to your wedding they will send you an outrageous bill (see attached). They charged us for items that were included in our package. After all of these charges, they withheld items from us that we paid for! They made us prepay for the bar, which they charged us 7 drinks per person for 5 hours! I had to get the general manager involved to go through our original contract. They sent us a wedding package PDF - ignore it because they told me that it isn t real and none of that pricing actually is right (they up charged us A LOT!). They added extra tax categories - we paid over $5,000 in just taxes and their service charge . They still tried to charge us for service (again see attached).

When we arrived at the property, they had a COVID outbreak so none of the rooms were ready because 7 out of the 10 housekeepers were out sick or had to quarantine. They put us in a room that sat in a parking lot. It is our wedding weekend and they stuck us in a parking lot!! My mother s cabin was a disaster and the fridge did not work. They stuck a mini fridge in the middle of their room. My husband s family cabin had locks all through the kitchen so they could not use dish ware or pots/pans or even the pantry to put food away. They called Sundance and essentially were told to pound sand.

Overall, we had such a negative, disheartening experience with Sundance and are extremely frustrated. Please take my advice and do not get married here. It is not worth your energy or money.

2020-2021 season pass is the same price as normal, only difference is: I can t ski. What s up with that? Sure: COVID. But why is the poor consumer bearing the burden? I just drove 30 minutes to get here and was told I have to come back tomorrow because the queue of 25 cars is full. Not cool.

Generally Sundance is beautiful and it s awesome etc.
