In April, Sunchase American took over the senior independent living community my mother lived in and the quality of the property and amenities went down while the rent went up significantly. Indirect increases no longer including water, trash, pest, sewer in the rent further pushed many to relocate. They also cleverly overcharged for water and sewer by $70, then in June started double charging for trash and pest, $26. When brought to manager s attention we were told oh just don t pay it . So with 70 units or more $26 overcharge for the past 8 months nets this company over $16,000....So glad my mother no longer lives in such a place run by a company who takes advantage of senior citizens.
