I like the school. I only went for 1 year. The kids were friendly and mostly good. The teachers and administrators were strict, but I liked most of them. Strict dress code (khakis, polo shirt and belt). If your able to focus and get it done in class, homework isn't to bad. I feel like the school bragged a bit and made false claims such as "We are a year ahead of other schools". A Christ-like environment. I'd say send your kids here. It'll be a new experience.

students are rude and will give out private information for no reason than to see students suffer. this isn t god s teaching. to heck with this school.
I attended for 3.5 years and graduated from this school. I m happy with my education and definitely look back fondly on the education I received and the teachers who helped me succeed.
A great school with top academics and teachers who truly love their kids. A Christ-centered school that prays for their staff & students. We ve been here for 7 years and have loved every minute!
I love it here, been here my entire life. It amazing the teachers are awesome! Bullying is very seldom and education is excellent. Very accepting students and staff.
I have 2 children attending SCA. My 5 yr old starts kindergarten next year; she is already reading, counting to 100, and doing addition and subtraction. Their preschool/pre-k program is Christ centered and phenomenal. My son is in 3rd grade. His teachers push him to do more when they see he has is getting bored. They are beacons to God's light in everything they do. Each year the teachers get together and figure out which class the students will go to the next year. They have chosen the perfect teacher for my child each year. They have a way of keeping a very energetic and rambunctious boy on task and engaged in the lessons. He comes home weekly and teaches me something new, both in general studies as well as biblical stories/lessons.
The cost for attendance is not cheap, but the school's value is far greater than anything they could charge. Sending my children to this school is the best decision I could have made for their education. I hope I will be able to continue sending my children here for years to come.
This is my first year as a sophomore at SCA, and the best decision of my life! The teachers and students are so welcoming, and I ve made some of the closest friends here! Definitely wish I came freshmen year.
My daughter has been enrolled in the Early Education Program for two years. We love it! She can't wait to go to school and all of the teachers are awesome. If you want a school grounded in high academic standards and faith this is the place for you!
Summit Christian Academy has been such a positive impact on my 2 girls outlook on school. We came from a well thought of public school system (Shawnee Mission School District). SMSD is a great school system but it is better at SCA. My girls have had to work at a higher academic level and have been enlightened that they had more to give. I can truly say they are better students now.
My oldest daughter started in 5th grade and my youngest started in 1st grade. If I could do it all over again I would have sent them both from K-12.
School is school - you are going to have some student drama not matter where you send your children. But there is a lot less chaos at SCA. You have access to teachers and faculty if ever needed.
If you are considering SCA, then I recommend you bring your kids and shadow for a day. That is what we did and we never looked back as it was obvious where they wanted and needed to be.
