summercamp (the Bolshoi theater) Review

"Circle of Light" as always showed a powerful level!

It is a remarkable place for getting emotional and pleasure! Everything is on high level.

Once in a lifetime not to be missed opportunity to see the greatest ballet. If possible, choose to watch ballet on the historic stage. Dress up for the occasion even if you take public transport that stop right in front and below the Bolshoi.

Very atmospheric place. I don t know how others, but I would like to work here. I did not feel any negative. Even managed to go backstage during the performance. All the artists in the hallway greet you, the security is pleasant. The theater provides guided tours of the historic building in Russian and English.

I had the opportunity take my girlfriend to one of the most wonderful performances - Swan Lake. Everything they say about this place is true - enchanting and unique, but as to talk about it, it can't be described with words, it should be experienced.

Watch the best Ballet in the World! It is very worth this event !! Be sure to go if you are in Moscow !!!

At least once you need to go and see the ballet and the theater. It doesn t matter if you understand or not, but you need to go and see!

We bought tickets on the website, entered our passport details (which was very strange, okay).
When we arrived, at the entrance we were told that e-tickets are not accepted, it is imperative to print them out in some arch (it turned out to be a ticket office). Ok, we go to this ticket office, no one knows where to print it, there are no signs. We had to queue at the window to find out what we need in another window (at this point I remembered the Russian post office).

We stood in line for one more (and time passes) and we were asked to send tickets to THEM BY MAIL !!!!!! To the post office, Karl! That is, they do not look for the ticket number on the passport, they need to send them by mail !!
With grief in half, we sent them these unfortunate tickets to the post office, they received them and only after showing their passport they were printed to us.
But foreign citizens who stood there and could not do it, they barely spoke Russian and did not help them. The crowd of people who stood with us were also confused, some of them never printed their tickets.
When we approached the entrance to the theater, the guards at the entrance had devices that scanned our barcode, BUT ONLY THIS IS POSSIBLE AND IN THE ELECTRONIC TICKET !!
WHY DO YOU TORTURE PEOPLE? Why are you kidding me? People come to rest, you make them print out a ticket, although there is no need for this, you have the technical ability to scan it in your phone. We had passports.
If you tell me that your ticket says that it needs to be printed, then first of all, it s just written in the general text, it s not highlighted. And secondly, people have long ceased to print tickets, because you can go everywhere with an electronic ticket. And you can buy a ticket for 25,000 rubles and not get to the performance, because you did not print the ticket.
This is normal?

A wonderful historical part of the building: it is amazing! Otherwise, at least cosmetic repairs are required! Something too soon! Cheap finishing materials? Did someone warm their hands well? Wonderful curtain! The artists and performances are wonderful! The audience is mostly without masks, and this is depressing!

For the first time I visited the Bolshoi Theater after its reconstruction, the decoration of the main hall looks extremely solemn. Ballet "The Lady with the Camellias" liked.

It's not quite clear what to evaluate. The ballet was excellent. All liked it.
The location is comfortable, chairs too.

Awesome place! No other Moscow theater can compare with it! Were at the opera The Queen of Spades! In the historical hall there is such a sound, the play of actors, music. It was just bliss !!!

I saw the ballet performance in this place . You have to be aware of there are three halls in this theater and those are in the different building. You should book the opera or show in the historic hall not the new hall. I saw the performance in the new hall. It was just amazing. I will visit to see the performance in the historic hall.

Swan Lake was beautiful. Sublime ballet and fantastic scenery. The theater is very beautiful.

Admittedly, I enjoyed The Nutcracker at the Bolshoi (5 stars) before it became ridiculously expensive (hence the three stars). But an experience I will never forget. Needs to get back to being accessible for all, and not just the elite!

Beautiful building. I'm not really sure what I should review other than that as obviously each performance is different, however I've been to several now and they have all been amazing. Worth a visit

Everybody knows and can not miss a Moscow visit. After extensive renovation, you can now visit the magnificent building again. Guided tours where u. a. please visit the Lodge of the Czar, please make sure to book in time. Demand in general very high.

Unfortunately I was unable to visit the interior, and for the shows you had to book months in advance, remains a legendary and impressive building. At night it is majestic with a very beautiful square and fountain. We think we hear the music and see the shadow of the dancers.

The best place in the world! Nutcracker, Swan Lake, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, Giuseppe Verdi, Petipa, ballet, opera! Fairy tale!

It is recommended to buy tickets in advance (for 3 months) and on the theater s official website.

There are tickets at an affordable price at the New Stage.

Just to know: the main cafe is on yhe top (7th) floor.

Thoughtful flows of people. No crush in the wardrobe, toilet or foy. Very friendly cloakroom. They very well monitor the order in the room and the cleanliness around. Well, the show is just chic

The Bolshoi Theater is Moscow's heritage. Was only a few times. Always pleasant memories

Amazing experience, I wish we'd see the ballet, but we only got tickets to an opera, not bad but not my style.

Amazing theatre, we really enjoyed Romeo&Julia. Still expensive. Great actors, never thought that ballet actors could bring so much expression without dialog.

Just met on the outside, I can not give an opinion on how it is inside, but outside is a beautiful theater, with beautiful architecture and all the mystique that surrounds the most famous ballet in the world.

Well... As exchange students we put our name on the list early morning and came early to pay for our tickets. After we entered and showed our student ID the woman said she won't sell tickets to foreigners only if some are left at the end of the queue. Never encountered such racist behaviour.

The visits are Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Take out in advance. The stars do not qualify to the theater, it was just an outside visit

Cool on the outside, unfortunately I didn't see inside.

On the outside it is quite imposing. It is no wonder that it is one of the main sights of Moscow. Inside I did not have the opportunity to enter or watch any show, but anyone who has entered guarantees that it is worth it.
