Beautiful place. Everything is better than you might expect.

We only saw it from the outside because in August it is closed for holidays, but also from the outside it looks great!
Very nice, with the fountain in front, the colonnade and the night lighting is even more impressive.

Went for the tour and our guide was great.
At the end of the tour while we were still getting ready, a security guard rudely told us to got out of the place quickly. Such a bad experience to end an awesome tour.

Visiting days imposed. Too bad we could not see it from the inside.

A beautiful place, especially now, on the eve of the New Year, it is a pity that there is no snow!

An impressive building. It is unfortunate that because of my airline I missed the performance last time. The reason for rating it 3 is because they make it unreasonably difficult for tourists to view the inside of the building, carefully check their visiting schedule and rules and be early if you want to get in - as a visitor that is, not with your ticket.

As glorious as ever. The theatre's interior is luxury on a royal scale.

Prices are high (ballets generally more than operas) but production value is incredible, especially for the operas.

A bit of a maze to explore at the intervals. Modern cafe on top floor. Small gallery showcasing photos & costumes, but i feel like there could be more, considering the building's history.

I came here first almost 20 years ago when it was almost exclusively foreigners that could afford it. With the change in Moscow's growth, it seems the tide has turned with a good mix of locals and foreigners enjoying the arts here.

Famous theater, the venue for famous artists! Except in special circumstances, it's hard to get tickets to perform here.

Watched the ballet Jewels. Beautiful performers, postnovka, costumes, scenery. I am delighted with the theater and the play.

Very beautiful but almost impossible to get tickets to. There is a theater right behind it which is also considered "Bolshoi", but it's a newer building and is not as beautiful as the main building. Be aware.

World class Opera and theater productions a must see place for everyone interested in Arts sector

A great place, the pride of Moscow and Russia. Today we watched "The Queen of Spades", the voices of the parties are just crazy, in strength and emotion.

The Bolshoi Theatre. The very case when writing and speaking is not worth it. This, like Paris, is seen once at least until death. A better pair for the season. True, over the years, changes in the troupe are not for the better. And the staging is not every sensation. But this does not really change anything. If you don t fly to Vienna for dinner and go to La Boheme, believe me, you will like it.

Incredible and historic place, both outside and inside, right next to the red square and close to some metro stations. It is the perfect place to entertain yourself with a good play, with ballet, or simply to take a picture and start touring the center of Moscow.

The acoustics are bad. Chairs instead of seats in the stalls. It s hard to sit for 3 hours. Opera artists are beyond praise. Bravo!

Visiting this theater in Moscow is an indescribable emotion. Whoever goes to the world cup this year cannot miss the opportunity. Super recommend!

Going through this theater is definitely in experience, but you have to be aware of certain nuances. First, it is absolutely stunning. Broadway cannot compare to the majestic beauty and grandeur elegance of this theatre. However, do not go under dressed. We are used to dressing casually in the States, but you will be shocked to see how beautifully people dress at this theater. The makeup, the attire, it's comparable to watching an Oscar's event. Having said that, I did see various individuals dress in jeans, but it's your choice.

Somethin else, and this is most important. They sell seats in louges which are laid out in three rows of three seats each. If you are in the second or third row you will not see the stage! Tickets are expensive, at least a $100 - $150 each, but you will find that most people stand, yes stand, through the hole act! Frustrating is not the word to describe it. Rip off is more like it. We were standing with hundreds of other people watching a barely visible show after paying hundreds of dollars for tickets. Of course when you buy tickets there are no warnings of for obstructed views as you would expect to see during the purchasing process in the States.

So now you know.

Experience to live. It is absolutely worth attending a show. From the official Bolshoi website it is very easy to reserve seats. Pay attention that at the ticket office they will ask you for the passport and credit card with which you bought the electronic ticket, which you will have to replace with the original one before the show.
