Wish they would get it together again. Sandwiches are weak and FF taste like fried in year old grease.
But blame the ruff times and pandemic, right !?
Well, I will not be ordering from there for awhile.

I had a sub on 10/21/2020 and man it was horrible. The meat had no flavor and it was a waste of $7.48. I wont be going back there anymore I'm sorry.

Sandwich was horrible the bread was hard and staled. Sever rushed my sandwich and used no mask. I purchased my sub and throw it away. I know people are going to say why did I purchased the sub. I did see the bread or taste it when I was there

Substantial Subs? More like Unsubstantial Subs. I paid $9.00 for a Sub through UberEats. When u got the sub, it was 70% bread with a little bit of meat inside. I ate a whole sub and a side of fries. However im still considering going to Wendys because im left Hungry and out $11.50. On the other hand, the sub tasted amazing. If they added more meat for a Normal Sub it would be a great place

Super disrespectful, My order was completely raw.. Not undercooked, but raw! I called to get the order corrected and was disrespected. I went down to the store to directly complain and was disrespected again. I ended up fighting the employee. Lets just say he wont disrespect anymore customers.

First sub I ever had that was better than subway and firehouse subs

Too much confusion, seem like managers were more correcting themselves when placing your order.. should also enforce social distancing better during these times of covid.

Just called and was on hold for 4 mins until someone asked what I would like and then cut me off to tell me to call back because they had a line. The food is great but they have very little courtesy for phone orders.

I live in Miami but work in Dania, every chance I get I stop and pick up lunch for my staff and they love ...great food

This place has the worst service ever,
I came in an order an AntiPasto off their menu which is a garden salad, ham, pepperoni, and salami. After that I made it a "bomb" which adds grilled onions, green peppers, mushrooms and bacon. After I placed my order they asked me 5 freaking times what I want on my salad. When everything is comes with and should be on it is on their own freaking menu.
I couldn't believe it. After I restated my order for the 3rd time I walked out and left.

They allow customers to come in without a mask. Besides that staff was rude when I mentioned to them that the customer should have a mask while waiting in line. No COVID procedure enforced.

I ordered thru door dash, ( a chicken bomb) they told me it comes with mushrroms bacon) Did not had bacon or shrooms and they didnt even cut the bread in half. and had like 1 scoop of chicken it didnt even fit the whole bread. Its ridiculous. Not recomended, sandwich tasted super bad and cold

These employees need to work on some serious people skills. I've never been to a ruder place. I was insulted by an employee in font of other customers for no reason. The place is dirty and unsanitary and the food wasn't all that either. Do yourself a favor and avoid this ghetto establishment.

Their shirts say "If we don't meet your standards, then lower your standards". It was between fast food and this place...my standards were already low and this still disappointed. It was not clean. They advertise a cheesesteak sub for $4.99 and then ask if I wanted other toppings but neglect to tell me they cost more. When I questioned the cashier about neglecting to inform me of the additional charges he said with attitude as if he didn't really care "I didn't take your order man". I said I won't be back and he said "that's fine....you're just one person". I find it funny that there is also a sign on the wall that says "Hot beer. Lousy food. Bad service". They don't serve beer, but if they did I would believe that it would be hot since the other two are correct.

Disrespectful. If I could give it zero stars I would. They are in desperate need of new management and sandwiches makers. Just fire everyone and start over. I will never eat at this worthless establishment again.

I used to frequent Substantial Subs both the one on 57th avenue and this location too! I'm happy to see it's still around and the subs they cook up right in front of you are hot, fresh, delicious, fully loaded, and ready to go whether you're going to eat it inside or take out to go! Where Substantial Subs does a great job is the customization of your sub and when I say customization... You can really get CREATIVE! You can mix a steak and chicken bomb together, or throw sauce on the grill or even a combination of sauces! If you're feeling adventurous this is definitely the spot where the employees will help you out and give you solid recommendations. So why the three stars you may ask? Many times I have been to this location and the tables more than half the time aren't clean and overall the establishment isn't very clean... there have been times I've stopped by and I've seen flies in here before. Luckily I didn't encounter that on this trip, but it definitely deserves some attention to detail if customers want to stay and enjoy their meal inside. And if you do end up staying inside to eat you will end up smelling like hot subs for the rest of the day. They're not my favorite subs, but they're pretty good!

Get ready to be blown away... this is not your typical, run of the mill, "train station themed - new york" sub shop.
Lunch time can be very hectic, and loud. (That's a positive attribute)

I love visiting this restaurant not only because of their great food and prices bit also for the warm welcome and great service from the staff. They need to create more locations so more people can experience the service I get every time I visit them. The choices of the menu is just right to meet the need of just about anyone who walks through the door from the health junky like me to the person who just want some good old fashioned cooking. When ever you are in the Cutler Bay area of miami, drop by and try them....I know you won't regret it

I came here as a first timer today. First off the sign on the door is hilarious! There's a lot of menu options which I love (lots of future options) they even have breakfast!! Today I had the ham & turkey cold sub and OMG it was delicious!!!! The bread is so soft and their deli meats are bombbb. Best sub shop in Miami. Classic hot grilled cheesesteaks done the right way. We walked in 8:17pm more or less. My husband asked for a whole wheat Philly cheesesteak and I asked for a BLT.... first off, they didn t give my husband whole wheat bread and secondly after they put the bacon ON MY BLT they asked what else do I want on it.... my husband said lettuce.... then I was waiting for the tomatoes. Did I get tomatoes? Nope, you guessed that right. One of the employees from the looks of it got a really long order over the phone and was having such a bad attitude (I guess because it was an hour before closing) which happened to be the same guy who asked what I wanted on my BLT. It was my first time here. Definitely not going back. And it s crazy how on their walls they have a lot of things that suggest that their rude but when I walked in I thought it was all jokes and that what made it different. So disappointing.

Abt May 21, I witnessed the owner & his rude wife totally disrepect & mistreat an older black female customer by refusing to serve her & asking her to leave the establishment. They did not prepare one of her subs as requested, she mentioned that something had not been added, but it appeared she was taking the sub inspite of the error. As the customer was speaking politely with the person topping off the sub, the owner's wife rudely began bellowing out contradicts from afar. The customer asked her twice not to interrupt her. The customer finally told the owner's wife she was rude. At this point, the rude owner at the cash register said "that's my wife", I am not serving you, leave! He said it twice. This was a horrible scene with every customer in the place in utter shock. The owners did not handle this properly. He should have shut his rude wife down & professionally handle the issue with the lady. Do they even know what good customer service is or do they even care! The customer indicated that she had given her order several times to the young girl there. These owners need to provide courtesy, respective service to ALL customers.......and yes your staff make mistakes with orders. I will never patronize this place again; I don't care how good your subs are!!!!!

Breakfast or lunch, this place is great. So many options to choose from and if you don't see what you want, just ask and they will make it for you.

I ordered: Chicken Bomb Ft. Long w/o Bacon, and a Chef Salad with all available veggies. The service was wonderful, everyone was personable and easy going. My order was rather quick. I was ordering for other at my office, and everyone loved the presentation of the protien and the veggies, very neat, and looked extremely appetizing. The Chicken Bomb was great, just the right amount of seasoning, and grilling. The fries were a little over seasoned but nothing some ketchup couldnt make better. Overall the food, and price were worth the visit. Will definetly visit again.

The white guy @the front counter is a complete a-hole! I ask him to double bag my lunch & he said no. Never coming here to eat. Not my type of place to eat.

It is a small place but full of love and above all very good sandwiches, the dependents are very attentive and move very fast so that customers do not have to wait long for their order and the taste is one of the best in Miami.

This place was great and I went there a couple of times a week. it would be me and my brother. Unfortunately, we had a very bad experience the last time we visited. I would not recommend this establishment.

I've ordered from here a few times, and admittedly don't venture too far outside the box (JP Bomb sub minus mushrooms), but I get exactly what I pay for every time: a big, greasy, delicious meat sandwich that fills me up, no questions asked. I can definitely taste the sodium content in every bite, but I would be lying if I said I didn't know what was going into my body. I've ordered the onion rings (seasoned), fries, and mozzarella sticks and while they lack any "wow factor", they're exactly what you'd expect and depending on what you're in the mood for, make a great companion to any sandwich. Overall a great, no-frills, well priced sandwich shop with a decent selection of sides and very consistent delivery every time (they actually read the notes of the order and never send me a sandwich with mushrooms, and if you've ever used UberEats in South Florida, you know that's rare.) You'd be an idiot to go to or order from a chain restaurant with a place like this around.

This is one of my favorite sub place to get hot sub and leave full. It s a very down to earth establishment don t expect to be treated like royalty but expect great tasting foods. Try out the sub called the bomb and get the cookies they are delicious.

Food cost must be getting higher. I ordered a chicken salad sub, yet there was only a small layer of chicken salad. I remember back in the day when you got a sub from them and it was awesome, lots of meat. Very unsatisfied.

Never had a problem there. If your sandwich is wrong they will gladly do it over. A really good sandwich, and the cookies are even better.

The owner is rude as disrespectful, as such is the case with several employees. I ordered a wrap and a sub, and an employee touched a pen and other items while in the process of making my food. I told him that I was not going to eat the wrap, as he had just contaminated the food by touching other items in the process. The sub was completed already, and the server offered to remake the wrap, which was nice if him, although I didn't ask him to do that. However, another loud and bosterius employee began to scream and yell at me during the process, and then the owner starts screaming, and tells the sever "Don't remake it. ". The owner goes off on a rude rant, saying all kinds of things and starts screaming. Let alone, the cashier wanted me to pay for my food before I even made it through the line, or even had toppings placed on the sub that was ordered. I think it's only appropriate that you should be afforded an opportunity to fix your sub to your liking rather than be harassed and asked to pay when your still in line having the order prepared. The owner and several of his emoloyeees, need to learn people skills and leave the ghetto, disgusting arrogance out of the place of work. Owner or not, your behavior and the behavior of your employees was deplorable. Hygiene, cleanliness and safety should be your top priority in your restaurant, coupled with leadership and mutual respect. You serve customers and the community and should carry yourself in a way that people respect. Remember the same customers that observed your behavior today, will be the same ones to tell others about you, as well.
