Customer service bad ....Was talking to my daughter the cook was into my conversation instead of working....I asked for a half sub she said no...I said hmm ..her reply was what I said not talking to you..then it went bad down hill fast....We was told they wasnt going to serve us that cool....Im not spending my money in a place that has rude workers....You just lost a family who has been coming there for several years.......I will post this on several sites....

I had a philly cheesesteak sandwich with provolone cheese. It was nicely prepared, fixed right in front of me, lots of good flavor, and the seasoned fries are great. They've got my vote.
Will never eat there again. Witnessed how a police officer in uniform was ignored and was looked at with a bad face.

This Substantial Subs make the best subs in South Florida! The bread is so soft and fresh. The employees are friendly. It's a small location, however they have have social distancing measures in the restaurant to feel safe.
Let me start off with the fact that the subs here are good, very good, however. I walked in one night at 8:30 (they close at 9) the guy that was working told me they were closed. There were no other patrons eating inside nor was he making food for anyone else. Service like that makes someone not want to eat here anymore....... Sad, very sad. I will give it another try, but I guess I have to go out of my way to get there earlier or else I might not be served.
Great food but there was a little bit of a wait time. But nothing to bad. They have the best damn cheese.
Being from philly I went in knowing I wasn't going to get a real philly cheesesteak , but dam this was a really sad attempt of a Philly cheesesteak,they are careless with your food and might cook your steak with some plastic , they are so lost, and incompetent, terrible service on top of all that I could go on but please do yourself a favor
I never thought about breakfast at substantial but I had the best pancakes, bacon and scrambled eggs there.
really good subs . good service . good attitude . too bad there's not more places like this . i have to go out of my way to stop there once a month just so i can enjoy their grilled subs. the owner / manager always makes sure they scrub the grill thoroughly to cook my veggies for my sub . small touch that i always appreciate ...

While the subs making style reminds me of a over priced dirty version of subrageous. Poor customer service. I was personally insulted when I saw the cook only wearing one glove and handling food back to back without washing his hands between handling peoples food. Were in a pandemic and these individuals prove why society will crash and burn. I don't know if the person cooking my food has any sicknesses or what else they're doing. Won't ever go there again and don't recommend it
I ordered food to be delivered, once I received the food the driver had to give my card information AGAIN, after giving it ove the phone, I spoke to the owner's wife and she was extremely rude, they were about to charge me for a different order that was TWICE $$$ the amount of mine with no apologies. They have a mess going on over there. Very direspectful staff.
The owner is very rude. i usually purchase an italian sub but i noticed the mayonnaise taste funny. when i asked to taste the mayo before hand she told me i had to either except what she had or not come back. It wasnt that big of an issue but she made my experience horrible
Man I will never stop coming here we went almost close to closing and the two guys greeted us and went right to work on our order. Even up selling me on the burger sub. Awesome service I'll be back. I used to eat there all the time back in the 90s still fresh n good.
