We are very happy to have chosen Shawn with Subsonic Event DJ to help host our wedding. Shawn is very professional, flexible, helpful, and lucky for me, much more organize than I am! He made sure all of our bridal party and photographers were present before he made an announcement for a toast, dance, cake cutting, and etc. He also included a fun shoe-chair game to help entertain my guests. They all loved it! An additional plus is that he's also very AFFORDABLE! We would definitely recommend Shawn to our friends and family, Thank you!

One of the best things we did when planning our wedding was hire SubSonic. Shawn was so accommodating with all of our requests and guided us through the whole process of planning the music for the reception. He uses a software that helps you plan each song for all of the important introductions, and when we couldn t come up with a specific song we liked, we could pull information about the most common songs for those times, like the flower toss, cutting the cake, etc.

In addition to the music, we also hired them for the photo booth, bubble machine, and had a projection screen with our monogram at the rehearsal. Those elements really set the stage for an unforgettable event that our guests really enjoyed.

I have to say though, a lot of companies probably offer some of the same things, like a photo booth, monogram, etc., but they don t have the customer service and attentiveness that Shawn and his staff offers. We even forgot to bring out photo book home from the reception after the wedding had ended, and Shawn arranged a time to meet with us to drop it off. He goes above and beyond for his clients. All DJ s are not created equal! He is superb!

Absolutely loved working with Shawn. He was professional from start to end and didn t disappoint. I would recommend Shawn as a DJ to anyone. I booked the upgraded package with lighting and all I can say is WOW!!! Everything was amazing and the best part of my wedding. My wife and I booked Shawn Estep of Subsonic Event DJs for our wedding. We had a fusion wedding at the Wyndham. (Indian/American) What you are not hearing is how the said DJ told us that he has done these type of weddings before and had a working knowledge of the type of music to play. True, he is not Indian, but we were under the impression that he has done Indian weddings before. Strike 1 against us for not doing a through check into his references. If you are planning a wedding right now and reading this I am sure you, as we were, are looking to save money everywhere, as weddings can be quite expensive. We tried, also as I am sure you are doing, to get as much out of your vendors as you can and we believe it is on them to say what they will do for free and what they will not do for free. So, if they do not read their own contracts to see what they said they would do for free, its on them. The truth on the matter is we were pretty excited to have Subsonic Event DJs host our wedding because up until our actual wedding, even two days before, he was quite nice and seemed to have everything under control. However, during our event he played the wrong music for our ceremony, of which he had in plenty of time to ask questions if he did not understand the order. Rushed the wedding party introductions, and did not even introduce the bride's mother. Also, during our last meeting with him to go over our final details he openly said that he will take requests during the wedding. So, my new wife and I walked over to the DJ booth when we noticed the dance floor was completely empty to see what was going on. He then yelled at my new wife, saying,"He is being pulled in every direction and he is not in a good place." He then looked at his watch and asked, "when does this end." Not a very classy thing to say to the bride and groom, in my opinion. So, learn from our mistake and find another DJ. He will be nice, respond to emails in a timely manner, and tell you he has got your best intentions in mind for your special day. However, in reality he just wants your money, cannot handle a large event, and will be asking you if he can leave early because he cannot handle being asked to play a few songs at your wedding.

This guy kept the wedding reception on fire the whole night. Great Dj with an awesome character. Very professional and never a dull moment. The dancing on the cloud was a hit . The lighting was on point . The way he lit the cake and the sweetheart table made the mood mesmerizing. All of my guest were raving about the DJ. Glad we went with him.

DJ Shawn will be exactly what you want because he truly listens to you, understands what you re looking for, and executes it better than you could have imagined. Shawn is very passionate, professional and energetic. If your looking to for an awesome Dj for your wedding or even a party look no further!!!

I needed an Orlando Wedding DJ a few month back and Subsonic Events was extremely helpful. I was able to customize the song list and I couldn't of been happier! I've already recommended them to multiple friends who are getting married soon.

AMAZING! Shawn is the best. When I walked in to his office I was hesitant because of a bad DJ experience I was coming from - but Shawn make Bill and I feel right at home, he was professional but also has the compassion.

Jorge Quinones was our DJ for our annual Halloween party! He was awesome, he played a good variety of songs that got my guests dancing!! I recommend Subsonic Event DJs highly, they always do a great job!!

Shawn could not have been more helpful and sweet. He was there for us every step of the way with our wedding and he made our night perfect. He kept the dance floor packed and hosted every bit of the night exactly how we wanted. I HIGHLY recommend Shawn and Sunsonic Event DJs!!!

Wow! We had such a wonderful time. First we want to thank you for your patience with the beginning of the reception. We are still trying to figure out how we ended up with 50 extra guest. You took charge and made sure everyone got to their seats and everyone was able to eat on time. Everyone was dancing and having a wonderful time, we were so impressed with how you involved the children and were so patient with them as we saw how they were trying to touch the equipment. Absolutely loved working with Shawn! He has a great energy and really listened to everything we had requested. We were concerned because we didn t want a typical wedding playlist but he took all of our requests and still put his own spin on it. People were dancing the whole night and everyone had great things to say about him. Definitely recommended having him as your dj!!

Finding a good DJ/MC for our wedding was extremely important to us because 1. Our friends and family love to party (as do we!) and 2. We did not hire a coordinator for the day of so we needed someone who would coordinate the major events for us. Shawn did an amazing job keeping everyone on the floor and everything organized! Everyone kept telling us how much fun our wedding was. His client website was so detailed and helpful as well. I was so lost in what a wedding timeline would even look like, but he had one made up already- down to the minute- on the client site for us. Shawn was also super friendly and accomodating. He got very sick the week before our wedding and still managed to keep in contact and show up for us! He is amazing and I recommend him for all of your dj needs.

Terrible! All I can say is... This DJ didnt get the names right on the announcements, the mics wear cracking and creating feedback during the ceremony and the reception, he was disrespectful to the bride and groom, and even stopped playing 30 minutes early when there were at least 75 people still there! Dont hire this guy, just get an IPOD!

We had Andres for the day of DJ. He wasn't the first DJ we scheduled with but a DJ from the same company. But let me tell you, he was no consolation prize. We had two calls with him before our wedding and we really enjoyed how thoughtful he was and how he wanted to be clear on all of our special details. The day of the event it did rain, but he seamlessly pivoted to not lose too much music time while also keeping his equipment save. He was a great personality and was the perfect DJ to mc and deliver the right music at the right time for our event. Kept our stress low and was a pleasure to work with. Highly recommend.

Had subsonic out for a corporate event here in Orlando Fl and we were not disappointed!!! Our Dj Shawn really kept the energy up and supplied awesome sound and lighting for this event. If your looking to entertain your crowds hire these guys, they were great!! Thanks again Shawn

If I could give ZERO stars I would!!
I text the DJ 30 minutes before the party to ask where he was, his reply was first that I had not signed the agreement. When he realized he not only had my agreement, he had my deposit, he then said.. that he "misfiled" my agreement and would refund me.

Our party was a 70's theme and people were arriving with their costumes and we had no DJ. Luckily, we were able to make it happen.

I would NEVER recommend to do business with someone who doesn't even know how to file paperwork.

While at a corporate event with a friend, we notice how many people were kept on the dance floor all night long thanks to the Orlando DJ. Remembering that event, we recommended Shawn from Subsonic Event DJs service to several local wedding and event planners in the Orlando area. A very reliable company with competitive pricing for event DJ service. We highly recommend them. 5-stars!

Subsonic Event DJs not only assisted us for our dual surprise 50th party, they pulled it off with ease on short notice. Shawn was fantastic to deal with from the start. Extremely quick response and constant follow up regarding our needs to ensure we were completely happy. And our DJ for the evening was Jorge, who played the perfect mixture of 80's and today's hits that kept the parties entertained from the moment the event started.

We were referred to Subsonic Event DJ's through my groom's co-worker. After we met Shawn, it was the first time I actually got excited about the wedding planning process. Prior to that everything was so stressful and business oriented. Shawn reminded us that the possibilities were endless to make our wedding fun and unique. He even told us about a fog machine that he has that we could use for our first dance (sadly our venue prohibited the use of a fog machine) but my point being is that Shawn provided a lot of inspiration and reminded us that weddings are a fun celebration and not to get too consumed by the business aspect of it. We used Subsonic Event DJ's for our wedding ceremony, cocktail hour and reception musical entertainment. Our DJ was Chris. What I liked best about this DJ company is the program that is used to select music and organize timeline of events during the ceremony and reception. You can add special notes to your music selection of the song is meant to be a dedication that the DJ can announce to the audience. This requires some work and organization but well worth it in the end. During our engagement, I kept a notepad file on my phone of songs I wanted on our playlist for our wedding. Over time this helped to pick and choose (and most importantly remember) songs. You can also pick obscure songs and provide the YouTube link and they will convert them to MP3 song format to use. We wanted our college alma mater played during our cake cutting and we found a YouTube video with the audio that we wanted. The week of our wedding we had a final meeting with Shawn and Chris to review our playlist and timeline of events. I found this be extremely helpful to have an opportunity to communicate our wishes and plans for our wedding entertainment so that we were all on the same page. Plus, to make sure I followed their program format correctly and my detailed thoughts were described coherently. I picked out a lot of songs to play and Chris did a very good job obliging my wishes. He also put together a blended mix of song selections that I wanted played during my wedding party introductions. The mix turned out great and he followed my description as to when I wanted the songs to begin and end. Chris also did a great job of playing song requests from guests and my guests even commented on how dedicated he was to fulfilling requests. I have been to weddings and clubs where I have requested a song and it is ignored so I was happy to hear that from my guests. Another thing to note is that Shawn and Chris were in on a surprise gift for me and my groom at our wedding. We had a surprise visit from Mickey and Minnie Mouse! My aunt had called them to see if this was possible to pull off during the reception and once again they were very cooperative and played Cinderella's "A Dream is a wish Your Heart Makes". Lastly, for anyone reading this and considering Subsonic Event DJ's, I say do it and you won't be disappointed! The program format that they use is great for creating your dream wedding playlist and organizing your wedding entertainment timeline.

Shawn was on top of everything and so professional, from the moment we met him. He was willing to work with us on music. He delivered, we had a packed dance floor the whole night. We had such a great variety of music. ( hip hop, spanish, reggae, r&b and 80/90)
He made the night go so smoothly, he was on top of everything with timing, the whole night. Highly recommend him, if you want professional but fun guy that will keep your dance floor packed.

Our 2015 Convention "Night at the Tropicana" event was amazingly successful thanks to Shawn Estep and Daniel. The lighting of his DJ stand created a wonderful ambience, as did his uplighting that was along our walls. It was exactly the atmosphere we were looking for.Shawn worked with 25-30 different amateurs (average age 72) to help us put on a nightclub style show and his ability to adapt to us was amazing. He worked with our 2 MC's and instantly responded when we had to change something. The show ran flawlessly thanks to him, and we are so grateful I highly recommend Shawn, and thanks to Daniel who helped him set-up, worked with him on the lighting and the audio, and worked with the hotel videographer. Daniel also provided the back-up that Shawn sorely needed several times. Good job and well done!

While searching for a reputable and affordable DJ in the Orlando area I came across this award wining and super affordable Orlando DJ that made everything so easy during our initial meeting. Shawn rocked my event ensuring everyone was entertained throughout the evening. He has the coolest DJ booth as it's like having a piece f furniture, and his assistant Jorge who was the Photo booth attendant made sure everyone was pleased and had fun during our experience in the photo booth which made our entire night super memorable. Hired DJs Shawn Estep and Marco Polo from Subsonic DJs for a huge pre-game Frito Lay/Cheetos promotion at the Mexico versus Costa Rica soccer friendly on June 27th, 2015.

As a major sponsor of the Mexican Men's National Soccer Team, the positive exposure and brand building for Cheetos is always our primary goal at each event we execute worldwide. Subsonic DJs really made our program in Orlando, Florida a first-class event! In fact, they were so great, we now plan to work with them throughout the nation.

Details: From the booking process and answering the company's questions prior to the actual event, Shawn was so very professional, courteous and to the point.

Subsonic Team arrived early and was set up and ready to go at least an hour prior to our agreed upon time. Equipment was first class for this huge outdoor concert. Sound quality could not have been any better. The talent of DJ Shawn Estep and his co-DJ Marco Polo was simply incredible.

We asked for bilingual announcements that had tons of energy, enthusiasm and excitement. We got so much more as literally thousands of soccer fans flocked to our area to participate in our Cheetos promotion.

Even a couple of short Florida afternoon rain bursts couldn't keep these guys off the air. They simply covered and maneuvered their equipment and kept going right through the end of our multi-hour special event. When they finished this long, hot day (about 95 degrees outdoors!), Subsonic still had as much energy, excitement and enthusiasm as when they started.

I would highly recommend Subsonic DJs with Shawn Estep and Marco Polo for any special event. These guys are awesome!
