Studio6 Los Angeles Review

I'll start by first saying that my 2 friends and I really enjoyed our room. We were in town for the first time ever and it met our needs very well particularly allowing us to cook some food and save on expenses from eating out as often while we were in town.

However, I have to say that we had a HORRIBLE experience getting checked in for our stay. I had made a call a few days in advance to ask about check in times and the employee on the phone mumbled a lot and had quite the attitude when I asked politely that he repeat himself so I could understand what he was saying.

After arriving in Los Angeles, we caught a ride to the Studio 6 Commerce, where upon trying to check in we were told that they did not accept debit cards. This was outrageous as none of us had ever come across anywhere that would not accept debit cards as a form of payment. Without a credit card between the 3 of us, we were told we would have to pay cash and that paying cash also required an additional $100 as a deposit.

We did not have the nearly $1000 we needed in cash on hand so we hand to go to the nearby atm and make multiple transactions due to withdrawal limits, which cost us additional money in atm fees. Finally, after finally coming up with the cash after a span of about 2 hours after initially arriving at Studio 6, we had to walk back, in an unfamiliar place with $1000 in cash and pay for the room.

The office staff we dealt with were not friendly at all and we could barely hear them from the other side of the bulletproof glass which desperately needs a speaker to facilitate conversation. They were also rude when my friend asked if there were any cots or additional pillows and comforters available.

While I appreciated the room and found it to be fairly priced and convenient, I could NEVER recommend this location to anyone I had a shred of respect for due to the extremely disrespectful staff who seemingly had no desire to help us out and made everything about checking in (after having just gone through hours of travel) so difficult.

Hotel was pleasant and very clean but heard all the traffic and dogs barking all night.

For the price for the amenities. This place is great!

The room above us room 312 was loud every night we was there until 3 am. There was 5 of us in our room 4 adults and 1 child. Which we had to pay an extra $180 for the other 2 adults which in my opinion is rediculous for what we went through. We called down to the office about it each time and was told they would take care of it. I thought after 3 complaints they would move them or make them leave. Well that never happened. We told them we would call the cops if it kept happening. We was greeted by the office manager outside our room the next day when we was leaving for the days activities and he proceeded to tell us if we didn t like it then we could check out. Since when was we in the wrong? Why should we have to leave when it was them making the noise? The staff was extremely rude, and the room service for cleaning sucked. We contacted corporate and they moved us to the 4th floor one night before we left we was there for 8 nights. After moving into the room on the 4th floor which we shouldn t of been put in that room cuz it was illegal as heck. They had the fire detector inactive and the water sprinklers in the ceiling had bags stuffed in them. I took pictures of it. We should ve reported it to the fire marshal but was so tired of the stuff we went through we was just ready to leave. I will never recommend this motel to anyone. We put 5 bad reviews in on social media. This was the worst motel I have ever stayed in, in my entire life. Never again will I stay there.

My friend stayed here, somehow he flooded his own room and ended up jumping the ledge landing on Karen Jr s nissan then on the pavement, nevertheless great experience he had!

The room was okay. But, the front desk made me pay 10 dollars for parking and gave me no parking sign so my car wouldnt get towed. So....they basically stole 10 dollars from me. And it was a hassle to get extra room keys. You what you pay for.

Upon our arrival to the hotel, there was no parking whatsoever. The security guard made it seem like he was doing us a favor finding a parking spot, even though we had already reserved a room. We were then placed in a nice room which we enjoyed until early next morning. We woke up to hammers, electric drills and extremely loud noises at 8 in the morning. We were so conveniently placed right on top of the actual room they were working on. Our bathroom was filled with the smell of gasoline due to their machinery as well. We were scheduled to stay for 5 nights and 4 days but could not stand the loud noises while wanting to relax on our vacation so we ended up staying one night and checking out the next morning.

I was really surprised how clean the room was. I was comfortable staying there

The location was a little difficult to get in and out of and the entire first floor was under construction so we were woken up with that noise every morning. On the bright side the time I did sleep was great, the bed was super comfortable! We could have used some more towels and it was nice to have the kitchen but there were no dishes, pans, or utensils.

I really enjoyed the stay would appreciate probably some more coffee in the next time I stay there and that's about it other than that would like to stay next weekend and that's about it

Make the reservation through the hotel. Com and it was very frustrating to arrive and have to pay extra. Apart from that in reception they show me that the cost of the room is $ 30 dollars cheaper than the one that was paid on the page.

The room was very well spacious and comfortable, the only thing that was noisy since I played at the end near the bridge and at night came the smell of cigarette smoke, everything else good for the price and I love that they have petfriendly since it is part of the family

Very unpleasant. The guy at the desk was very rude and passive aggressive. Our room smelled super bad, pure cigarette smoke. The bathroom was dirty and it smelled like plumbing. I will not be returning. Wish I could get a refund because it was bad.

Cockroaches on last 3 visits. I even showed the manager the poison I bought to kill them. Still cockroaches in the next room. Very gross!

Terrible, dirty, disgusting, upset. Hitel is up to date, modern, but the cigarette odor is the worse ever throughout the hotel, in the rooms its terrible, a safety hazard. I checked with other guest, same issue. For asmatic clients & respiratory people its the death zone. I called the front drsk, I called the manager & they didnt have an answer, why sure business is $$$.

Owners are not friendly AT ALL! But the rooms are nicely updated and clean!

The stay was great everything was clean but the floors. They looked clean, but my daughter had dirt on the bottom of her feet. Suggest trying a different cleaner. Because I know that the cleaning lady mopped the floors.

This hotel helped me and my family in a time of need.ill always be greatful to the manager and his family for being generous.really nice rooms with kitchens fully stocked and the friendliest staff.

We bring many families here to get them safe and cosy.

Love this place Housekeeping has this place dialed in. Front Desk staff are always there to assist you with any questions. Very clean rooms, and plenty of parking .

They do not clean the rooms when they stay more than a day in that place

The man in the front was kinda rude. Pets DO NOT stay free, there is a $10 per day for pets, which is not disclosed online only until checking in. But overall the stay was Good. For the extra pet charge I will stay at an actual Motel WITH a pool next time.

Was not happy with treatment from management...I was staying long term for work..Arived at hotel at 5am after working all night to be harrassed by management..Very rude and unprofessional..This neighborhood is not very good..So to have some random guy walk up on you in the parking lot and not identify his self is not ok to begin with.. Then start harassing me over where I'm parking and not once saying he is a manager until you ask who he is..Then ask for or him to leave me alone...Instead continues yelling and demanding my name and room number...Very rude unprofessional..I've stayed at hotels across the United States and have never been treated in such a way...Would never stay here again under current management..

Rooms are definitely worth the stay , very great floorplan

The only downside is that their is a lot of construction thus a lot of noise. The rooms interior looks well for the price would recommend

We enjoyed our stay vary much. Room was clean with great amenities. The only thing that could have made it better would have been free breakfast!

These rooms are spacious and cheap! Loved my contemporary room that comes complete with a full blown kitchen! All for around $60!

Has roaches, rooms are cleaned every 3 days unless you ask and if you do it will be at the end of the day. Housekeepers and rude and not thorough, except for one her name is Maria and she was very attentive to my family. Parking is horrible and noise never stops. Construction starts at 6:30am!

The rooms in this location are very nice. I love how they have a little kitchen and full fridge to store your food and cook. I like how they have updated it as well. Def recommend. The only down side... If you want to sleep in you cannot. The Semi trucks going by make so much noise. Besides that its great!!

Room was clean and very comfortable. The amenities were more than I expected. Definitely, will stay again in this hotel.

Bed bugs. Woke up with bumps all over my body. They would not refund my money. Don't stay here!

The rooms are nice, clean. Parking is a little tight.

Room was wonderful! Great that the kitchens are part of the rooms now. I was traveling with a pet and I was charged a pet fee when the website said nothing about the pet fee. Room was great and location is convenient.

#Horrible Night# enjoy your stay here. Check the outside during the night, it was so funny. Rocky car music, walking neighbors, loud talk ladies. It was more like a motel club.

I had no issues. Very clean place in a decent area.

I really like that they re pet friendly. There s a little grassy are for the dogs to do their business and the hotel provide plastic bags to pick up any droppings. The customer service doesn t come with a smile and I m big on smiles. I really like the fact that the rooms have kitchenettes and full refrigerators. The room was pretty much clean, but I did find an ant in the room. The toilet was kind of backed up; it would lag to flush, but it got fixed. Aside from that, I was pretty satisfied. I ve stayed here before and I will stay again in the future.

There were people smoking in the walkway towards the room on the 4th floor.

Perfect for what we needed! Kitchenette with stove, mocrowave & full size fridge was definatley a plus! Tried to turn on the stove just to see if it worked but didnt feel no heat. Not sure if I had to plug it in still or if it just didn't work but I didnt look further into it. Also heard quite a bit of traffic but didnt wake me or nothing. Overall I would likely return to stay here again.

Very nice people that work here. Clean and roomy. Great for kids and Doggys. Best price around too. I love it. I can cook and keep cool. When I'm away from.my own home.this is nice my home away from home.

Needs to be updated. I feel itchy just walking in. AC sometimes works.

Customer service was great. Rooms are VERY clean and modern. The rooms are "roomy" and comfortable to stay at. I will definitely be coming back to visit.

Hotel has a very homie interior with a small kitchen-et only downside has been the location being a but close to the freeway. Sounds like it's always windy but you realize the sound is large trucks driving by

Plan on staying here again whenever I'm in the area.

It's a big room with a kitchen for a very good price. We stayed her for 3 mo's. The only problem we had was that in CA you have to move out for one night every 3 weeks or the hotel gets taxed. They only have one washer and dryer but I have never had to really wait to do our laundry so I have had to wait at hotels that had 5 or 6 washers and dryers.

It's a NICE clean place to stay for a night or couple nights. It's not easy to find when you are driving or in the move. The Room sizes are fine and pretty well distributed. The only thing that hit me a little hard was the wide of the halls if there's somebody cleaning one of the empty Rooms and the cart they have basically utilizes the whole wide of the hall, and if you are trying to get to your room not sure how you are going to face the dilemma.

Disgustingly dirty rooms, couldn't get myself to sleep just thinking of bedbugs. I much rather sleep in my car if I can't find an available room somewhere else.

Updated modern looking rooms. Nice for overnight stay... Very heavy traffic area.

Cons: Limited parking, first floor under construction, a lot of street & traffic noise. No amenities (no pool, no lounge, no conntinental breakfast). Bed spreads have cigarette burns. Pros: beds are comfortable, has a kitchenette.

I just visited a friend there seem like a cool place and he liked it

Reservations fraud by the property manager and super bad customer by the reservation customer service line. I booked my reservation online like everybody else so that I can get a cheaper rate versus walking into the lobby to get the highest rate however when I went into the lobby with my reservation they refused to honor my reservation which is unheard of and very unfair and seems to me a little discriminatory because I asked other people that were in the lobby which for a mostly of another race and they all stated that they all paid the price that they received from their reservation meaning their reservation was honored. The manager came out 20 to something looked at me and pointed to something on the screen and said something to him about the price and what and I said can I speak to the manager and he ignored me and walked to the back and refused to come back out to talk to me and he was in communication with the cashier stand and how he would not honor my reservation and how I must pay the higher price like a walk-in even though I reserve my reservation telephonically with the customer call center and it went on for an hour and security came in there and he was totally agreeing with everything I said and I do have him as a proof to back up my story. The sad part about it is are used to be Motel 6 number one fan Motel 6 was my favorite hotel Wow they ran away a fan. Wow they ran away a fan

This place has potential. Its a fairly new property so they are still working on it. The rooms are clean, bed comfortable and the front desk employee was great.

The rooms are clean, the maids are very polite, the male Manager is somewhat rude, the female manager is quite understanding and nice. Overall the area is very nice not is the outside of the hotel but the rooms and the inside are quite well kept 3/5 stars

The hotel was immaculate and the atmosphere was very relaxing.

It is very clean for price. All kitchen facilities. There is no bathtub. It's a little noisy near the highway.
