Reminiscing about Hong Kong in the era of the fathers, the dawn of the light, the cowshed, the oil drums, the old Tang House rows, like the world, the art is not too concerned.

Good or bad, depends on the temporary exhibition. But the park nearby is quite attractive.
The Niupeng Art Village also has some good places to punch in, which is a good place for family activities!
Very nice & quiet place but not that much to see in terms of art exhibit.
The streets are dirty garbage in front of the bullpen big bad government of garbage in the trash can in the same main entrance, then the sun are all tourist attractions in the art can be good the whole Shaoshao Well? Hong Kong city environment getting worse!
The first time I came here, it was different from the surrounding environment. It was not in the middle of the city. It was not close to the subway. The bus was used, and the buses were far away from the two streets.
I watched a play with my friends, quietly thinking, and understanding. In such an environment, past and present, illusion and reality, as if they could not be separated, which really happened.
Advance into the drama workshop, in this place that used to be a slaughterhouse, to understand the sincere performing arts of the actors, about politics and about yourself, such a story is very intriguing here.
It is recommended to come here to watch a play, come here for a walk, come here to see the sky, without a towering wall, seems to lead to a free world.
Closed abbatoire historical. Buildings changed into artist village with old "feel" to the historical buildings.
Convenient location, great location, but worth visiting
a cool art space with an old and welcoming cat on Saturday
Free atmosphere, a rare authentic atmosphere in Hong Kong.
Lovely series Victoria red brick buildings that s been preserved quite well and being used as an artist village with regular activities . Take some time and go to the little park next door where the cattle used to be kept. There s a derelict paper mill next door to it. You can take the ferry from north point to Kowloon city directly and it s a 10 minute walk.
A heritage venue for arts where artists, photographers can exhibit their works.
Built in 1908, it has a history of 111 years. The village preserves its original features and it is as time-honored as it is in the village.
Pictoresque piece of Hong Kong history with beautiful old brick buildings, bonsai and cute cats.
Local expansion, one of the city's leisure attractions!
An ancient building over a century old, but unfortunately it does not fully reflect the value of this monument
The film is good and the place is
Great space
But pay attention to the mosquitoes
The painting room is good at the door.
Nicely preserved cattle abattoir now used by artists for studios and cheap rent office space.
Associate with the Stock 20 Art Gallery in Taichung. The Western architecture (red-brick buildings) of Cattle Depot is special and worth to visit. However, I can only see few exhibits relating to art. Many artworks (finished or unfinished) placed in front of the artist's workshop but not exhibit.
Rare peace in the busy city. The newly built modern house looks different from the bullpen, so you can walk around
The former Ma Tau Kok Livestock Quarantine Station (now commonly referred to as the Cowshed) is the only remaining pre-war cattle slaughterhouse in Hong Kong. The quarantine station was built in 1908 and closed in mid-1999, during which it has been used as a quarantine and slaughter centre for cattle. The cowshed was refurbished and converted into an art village in 2001 to reset local artists from the Oil Street Art Village in North Point. Tenant tenants are art workers or art groups.
In 2009, the Antiquities Advisory Board rated the cowshed as a second-class historic building, one of the red brick buildings in Hong Kong. The Development Bureau's research indicates that the "bull shed" is a Arts and Crafts Movement with Chinese-style tiled roofs, red-brick walls and brick arched windows and doors, and the Dutch gables. The sloping water tanks set up by the quarantine station, the retaining iron ring and the inclined platform used for the cattle are still retained. (AMO)
There are not many film spots, and it is not near the subway station.
Fantastic arts venue. Studios and exhibitions with community participation. I loved it, didn't want to leave.
Great space for arts creation, production as well as serving as exhibition space with relevant events, artists are now not cultivated in active way, the party of Development Bureau urge to review its policy is desirable which align with the upcoming urban regenerations around Ma Tau Kok.
A place of workshops of various artists and organizations not all building open to public. A bit dirty and lack of maintenance. If you like to see some small old buildings, that will be fine. Have art exhibition occasionally.
It was a wonderful place where the children could have a workshop while being taught by the artist.
The artist was very kind and I enjoyed it even if I didn't understand the language.
Here you see some of the rarest art concept among th others in the city, whil roof off some 80s original depot architecture. Interesting destination and you came cross an low budget area.
There is no good promotion-a good place, a free art place without restraint!
very quiet and not many people there. also not many to see. a bit dead. but perhaps a good place for artists to set up studios there.
Cattle Depot Artist Village is an old cattle depot that has been converted into an Artist Village.
Hence all the artists have come together and there are lots to see.
As well as art, the cattle depot is worth visiting because of the brick buildings and there are many photographic spots.
Very bad, I don t know the so-called, it s a waste of taxpayers money and selling dog meat. There are so many homes for street sleepers!
There are not many exhibits, but there is a lot of space, so you can rest here and read.
historical building for people to walk around. Some stores nearby. Better to visit in Winter tine under snow
Most are studios and cannot be visited inside. It's a pity, it's a pity.
A place for young people's development, rents too expensive, the place can be considered!
very nice place for art indeed but feels not well organized or maintained, unless when there are special events hosted...
One of the very few creative hubs managed by local artists. You'll see a distinct side of HK here.
Hong Kong has few art venues. It used to be a place to raise cattle. It is opposite the "Thirteenth Street" in To Kwa Wan. From time to time, there are some exhibitions, troupes, and some cowshed units can be rented for short-term use for cultural and artistic purposes. Red brick building, where you can see the waterways where cows drink
Watching the performance in the cowshed is very special!
Not worth just showing up unless you know of an exhibition or workshop on, went there on Saturday afternoon and the gates were open but there was nothing to see. All the buildings were shut and no art to see. Disappointing.
Large artists village in an old red brick building compound. Comparably laid out and laid back.
There are some art exhibitions here soon, and the passage is worth visiting.
Anyone interested in art and neighborhoods would love this project. There are artists' studios, top notch exhibitions and sometimes available art classes.
It was quiet before 11 am and the studio was not open.

Nice building complex with a series of exhibition halls and workshops. The complex entrance is open from 10AM to 10PM, but the facilities inside have much more limited open hours.
