Art venue, visual arts theater, dance, music. Good entertainment at good prices. Serve wine, coffee, tea, and water. Light snack for donation. Park north, get there early to park. Also, parking on 2nd or 3rd S.

The building itself is absolutely stunning on the inside, industrial, urban, and rustic styles merged together perfectly. I will warn you it's not for huge events or weddings, but is a very cozy and relaxing setting... especially with candles!

Went to watch and support my friend Miesha while she recited poetry from her new book A Beautiful Disaster. I found the event lovely interesting and enjoyable and look forward to more events at that location

I love going to Studio 620 to view their new exhibits, I am fortunate to work nearby and whenever I need a dose of creativity I check out what they have going on. They do a great job curating their gallery as well as emitting a great vibe.

THERE IS ONLY STREET PARKING! Please be mindful so you don't get your car towed. It's very tempting to use the empty lot right beside the studio. Otherwise this location hosts a variety of art and literature events which are cheap to attend and they always offer refreshments at a great price as well. Awesome place to explore your artsy side and meet like minded encouraging people.

They consistently have a great cast and just great production crew in general. I would highly recommend the Studio @ 620 to anyone in the area looking to see a show. The venue is nice and small so the shows are super intimate.

Disregard the other review which just seems bitter about not being true to a beloved writer from their childhood.

This studio has some of the best events in the area. Anything goes here from burlesque shows, to art installations, to local art exhibits, and even plays! Thet serve wine, beer, and drinks. As well as small snacks for longer events. The owner Bob is one I'd the greatest and nicest men in St Petersburg

I liked the wide open space that could be configured in different ways. It's right off the street, so it's easy to get to with convenient parking near by (but not at the lot across the street.) The art event I attended had a good turnout and people were friendly and welcoming.

This place and it's programs are one of the top independent, non-profit, accessible, diverse arts assets in the entire TB area. I can thank Studio@620 enough. Radio Theatre Project this month was one of the best ever!

This is a cool place. Who knows what will be on display or performed next time you go there. A real home to the art community of St Pete. Large enough space for live theater, art gallery, receptions, whatever. And the venue is hosted by a warm hearted, welcoming and talented man.

About Studio@620

Studio@620: A Home for the Arts in St. Petersburg, FL

The Studio@620 is an award-winning arts organization located in St. Petersburg, Florida. It is a home for artists and art enthusiasts alike, providing a space where creativity can flourish and minds can be cultivated through exploration of the arts.

Founded in 2004 by Bob Devin Jones and Dave Ellis, The Studio@620 has become a vital part of the local arts community. Its mission is to provide opportunities for people to experience and participate in all forms of art, including visual art, music, theater, dance, literature and film.

The Studio@620 offers a wide range of programs that cater to different age groups and interests. For children aged 5-12 years old there are summer camps that focus on creative writing or visual arts. For adults there are workshops on topics such as screenwriting or painting with watercolors.

One of the most popular events at The Studio@620 is their monthly "First Friday" event which showcases local artists' work with live music performances from local musicians as well as food trucks serving up delicious eats.

In addition to its regular programming schedule The Studio@620 also hosts special events throughout the year such as film screenings or poetry readings featuring nationally recognized poets like Patricia Smith or Terrance Hayes.

The space itself is unique - it's housed in an old storefront building that was once home to a furniture store before being transformed into an arts center by Jones and Ellis. Inside you'll find two galleries showcasing rotating exhibits from local artists along with performance spaces for theater productions or concerts.

But what really sets The Studio@620 apart from other arts organizations is its commitment to social justice issues through art activism projects like "Artists Against Hate" which brought together over 100 artists who created works inspired by their opposition to hate speech during the 2016 presidential campaign season.

Overall The Studio@620 provides an inclusive environment where everyone can come together around their shared love of creativity regardless of background or experience level - making it truly one-of-a-kind among St.Petersburg's many cultural institutions.
