I had such a wonderful experience. Everything was explained to me so clearly that I was made to feel very comfortable. The space was clean and all covid measures were well executed. Would definitely come back for another piercing.

Just incredibly nice people and a very clean space. Piercers and tattoo artists are very patient and friendly and most of all talented. Will come back to NYC to visit them again for sure!

I came here for my first tattoo--just a small piece behind my ear. Everything was clean and professional, everyone in the store was friendly and made me feel comfortable, and Jason did a great job with my tat. I was in and out within an hour and couldn't be happier.

I had my belly button pierced for the first time. I must say the service was excellent from start to finish. The gentleman behind the counter was really nice and reassuring. Matt who actually did the piercing was extremely informative, patient and kind. I who recommend anyone to go Studio 28 Tattoos, they are the best!

This was my first tattoo and I literally bombed TJ with dozens of questions. But each time my concerns were very well addressed. I had booked an appointment for future which was worth it. I dreaded the pain but the entire process was stress free and fast. Ralph, my artist suggested the design keeping the elegance of the original I recommended. The overall experience was very pleasant and Im extremely content with the Tatto.

I went to get my nipples pierced here and let me tell you - they were so amazing !!! From the moment you walk in they are very welcoming. I was so scared about getting this piercing but they made it so worthwhile.You pay for what you get -amazing service and people !! Kristen made me feel so comfortable and walked me through the whole process. She was patient and everything she said step by step is exactly what happened.

Ran in here when I lost a piece of jewelry from a fresh piercing whilst in NYC for a few days. Vicky was incredibly informative and patient with me and had me walking out of there with a new piece of jewelry that made me glad the original had been lost! Hygiene was impeccable.

I sent an email to TJ after doing research and he was great with getting me the information I needed to pierce my nose. I went in the next day and although I have tattoos/piercings I was nervous. Saylor made me feel extremely comfortable and talked me through the process. He was right - it was just a little pinch haha. The staff is really warm and welcoming, the shop is clean, sterile products, etc. My nose ring fell out last night and I emailed TJ who of course responded asap - he told me to come in and Saylor would get the ring back in as long as it was still open. Went in, was a bit pressed for time, TJ got me right through to Saylor. Saylor like the pro he is, was able to get the ring back in my nose and it wasn't that painful (thank God). I only had to pay a $10 service fee for the setup since I still had the ring. I would definitely recommend this shop to EVERYONE! So worth it and they know what they're doing. THANKS SO MUCH STUDIO 28!!

Got pierced with my girlfriend about a week ago and we are completely grateful and satisfied with our experience! The staff treated us amazingly courteous and were super clear on how to care for our new piercing!

I had such an amazing experience @ Studio 28! Kirsten and TJ were so informative and kind. I went in for piercings and the process was so smooth and quick. They had some pretty pieces as far jewelry is concerned. I will definitely be coming back here for future piercings and my first tattoo. Thank you so much for your professionalism. I am over the moon with my piercings. :)

What? You ve never heard about skinking? = Skin Inking.

So, Studio 28, from my point of view one of the best skinking restaurants in the NYC midtown area. --- I d say my kinda food



Chef Alex really knows how to prepare his menu. Either you come in, quite hungry to get a quick, nice skinking with no clear recipe, or you go for a 6 hours full menu and leave with a glowing feeling on parts of your skin, luscious and mouth watering so that you cannot wait to come back and take the next course of the menu.

Chef Raffy, well I d honestly need to say, I never had the pleasure to enjoy his delicate way of cooking, but all the customers I saw were quite saturated and were not complaining of the food (I think, I might get a XXX bacon burger of his menu soon)

Chef Saylor cooks more hidden, actually I cannot tell you about his menu, but I always see hungry customers getting in and they re getting out pretty quick with a big smile on their faces. (I might need to sneak in there one day to test the fast food)

So, that s all I need to say about Restaurant 28 but guys,

I just got my first tattoo here and was super nervous, but Rafael was super lovely and chilled out and helped me relax. He was really efficient and friendly and did an amazing job. The owner TJ is also extremely professional and answered all of my questions promptly and with ease. I definitely recommend Studio 28!

From start to finish they were great...we were greeted warmly, all of our questions were answered, and Kristen who pierced me was absolutely the best! Will definitely be back!

Went here for a navel piercing, and couldn't be happier with the results. Staff was very friendly, professional, and informative. Organized, sterile tools and environment. I was in NYC travelling for work the beginning of this month..It was my second time in the city and decided I wanted to get a new tattoo as something to remember my time there....I couldnt have chosen a better shop to make that happen..Its hard when you dont live in the city to coordinate appointments and even decide on a shop....TJ was super helpful and immediately put me at ease...when I first walked into the shop I knew I made the right choice. These guys are AMAZING. I was introduced to Rafael Marte and after he showed me what he drew up for me, I was floored! It was more than what I could have expected...the whole experience was amazing and I cannot say enough good things about the shop, TJ and most of all Rafael..They were friendly, down to earth guys, and I felt so comfortable...Im over the moon ecstatic about my new piece, and will definitely swing by the shop on my next visit to the city!

Two weeks ago my friend and I went to NYC for the day and decided we wanted to get something pierced. I did a lot of research beforehand because I didn't want to go somewhere sketchy. Studio 28 had such stellar reviews we decided to come here. We called a little more than an hour before close and they were able to get us in. I got my rook pierced by Saylor. He was so great and very personable. He talked me through the process and explained everything he was going to do. It wasn't as bad as I thought, but it still hurt a little - as to be expected. It's healing quite nicely though still a little sore but from my research it seems pretty normal. If you're considering going here Saylor is great and will make the process so easy! Thanks again!!

Just got back from getting a new cartilage ring bc mine fell out. They were friendly and knowledgable and let me chat their ear off about mostly nonsense. ;-) Good people. Will definitely be back.

So thankful for Spider. I had gone to another shop, and on the day of my appointment my artist was a no show. I called 2 days later to get his info to try and get in touch. Spider was at this shop for one day and happened to answer the phone. He was appalled and offered to help me. It was all meant to be in the long run. Spider made me feel completely comfortable and did an amazing job on my tattoo. I'm so happy and grateful. This is the person and this is the place if you're wanting a tattoo!

hi, i'm not here to rate but i have a question, do you guys do piercings for people under 16??? my mom said she'd take me to get a belly piercing for graduation and we haven't found a good place yet and this one seems to have good reviews

Have gotten one sleeve done by Olivia to date and will definitely continue working with her super talented artist (everywhere I go people stop and ask who did my sleeve) and great, clean, chill environment. Go here!

Knowledgeable staff and good selection. One of the cleanest and chillest spots for body modifications I have been to. I got a few piercings here and take other people to get their piercings here as well. Most importantly they care more about your health and safety then a sale and will tell you when they dont reccomended a particular placing or piercing. My friends have gotten tattoos here that have healed beautifully. Highly recommend.

I had a wonderful appointment with Vicki Rose. I initially went in to get an industrial, but my ear wasn't quite the best fit, so Vicki helped me decide on a double helix instead. Everyone in the shop made me feel safe and comfortable, and their commitment to cleanliness and customer service are unparalleled from any other shops I've been to. Hope to be back in soon!

My aunt and i went into Studio 28 on Saturday night, 8.11.12, with intentions of getting our tattoos (my 4th and my aunts 3rd). we already knew what we wanted but were skeptic on where we would begetting them done. we wanted a nice clean place with the right attitudes.

When we got to Studio 28, TJ greeted us and was very helpful. He talked with us until the artist was ready to take us on.

Paul, our artist, "An Englishman in New York" was amazing! He did such a great job with our tats and both my aunt and i are very impressed with his work. Not only did he provide excellent service but he was really nice too. Paul's work is hanging up on the walls and shows his true artistic ability. We are very pleased with Paul's ink skills!

The shop was very clean and their equipment was very sterile, my aunt is a nurse, so i feel very comfortable when she does!

Great place and i can't wait for my next tat. i will definitely be going to Studio 28 to see Paul. Cheers!

I had a session with Rafael Marte this afternoon to redo a tattoo from another artist at another shop that did not live up to my expectations. I came across Rafael s work by complimenting the tattoos of someone I met- who enthusiastically told me about Raf at Studio 28. The shop was super easy to book with online- very friendly. I met with Rafael a couple of days later- showed him my tattoo and gave him a sense of what I was looking for. He took some pics and we scheduled the work for the following week. Simply put- he knocked it out of the park. He gave me the tattoo that I wanted- and then some. He is very talented- and a true please to spend time with. He really puts his heart in his work- and was proud of the tattoo- especially when he realized how much I loved it. Totally exceeded my expectations. The shop is clean- friendly- nice music- good vibes. Awesome experience all around!

I got my septum pierced here about 3 weeks ago! I am in love. Kirsten walked me through everything, the possible pressures, pain, maintenance and their technique. They took their time to find my sweet spot and the piercing itself was painless. Kirsten you are AMAZING! Thank you.

The tattoo artist (Olivia) is knowledgeable and professional however the working staff manager is rude and mean. Their behavior is unprofessional every time and it makes it difficult for you to avail their services. I DO NOT recommend this Studio for tattooing.

I just left the shop earlier this afternoon. I had my nose pierced, my cousin recommended them. I am so happy she did. OMG! Can I say funny, friendly, and attentive. TJ made me feel very welcome, he explained the process and it went just as he said. The place was clean, the energy was positive, and TJ was hilarious. I would recommend TJ and Studio 28 any day. I will go to no one else for my future piercings. I enjoyed the experience.

I lost a post to one of my piercings and when I went in to have them put a new one in they broke my jewelry and gave me the wrong post. When I went back in a few months later (I had been away for the holidays) they tried to charge me again for another post change even though they made me come in multiple times for something that should have been easy. I have gone to many professional piercing places to get pierced and have never been talked down to more than with this experience. All I wanted was for them fix the problem that they created and in turn I had to spend more money than I wanted to on a simple post.

Cannot thank the folks at Studio 28 Tattoos enough for making my first tattoo experience incredible! Rafael M is a true artist! The real deal! Took all of the ideas in my head and created a work of art that I'm going to be displaying proudly for the rest of my life! Clean professional chill atmosphere that had me totally at ease! Shoutout to Elle who took some pics and video for me and whose smile lights up the room! Lookout Rafael - I'm already planning my next piece for you to work on!

Nice, clean place, however piercing work subpar. my nose rod was too short and got stuck in my nose. Had to return to get it fixed and they acted as if fixing it was a favor, rather than an obligation for a poor job
