I went to Studio 28 on a whim with a friend. We both got multiple ear piercings. Vicki Rose is great!! Unfortunately one of my earrings broke. I messaged Vicki about this. Vicki responded right away, then COVID happened. So, I figured the piece of jewelry was lost. I was like oh well . I got a call recently that the jewelry is fixed and being shipped back to me!! Studio 28 rocks!!! Thanks guys!!!!
This was my first tattoo and I was incredibly nervous about going. Ralph Rosa was my artist and he was SO great. He answered all 6,000 of my questions and gave me the comfort and clarity I needed to go through with it. If I lived in New York he would 100% be my go to artist. 11/10 would recommended Ralph and Studio 28!
I had the pleasure of being tattooed by Rafael. I came to him with my idea and he nailed it! He was very professional but also extremely personable and I felt relaxed and at ease throughout my tattoo session. He also touched up a tattoo I already had and he totally brought it back to life! It looked way better than the original! I am so pleased with my new addition as well as my touch up. I'm looking for references for my next tat because he will definitely be doing more work on me. Overall, Studio 28 is a great shop. It's clean, comfortable, and well put together. All the guys are very nice and no one has an ego as many tattooers seem to have. I would give this place 10 stars if I could!
Great work. Very clean and professional environment. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for, when it comes to body modification. Vicki did an amazing job with my piercings and both she and the shop are very trans-friendly.

A fantastic place. I booked my appointment from the other side of the world basically but felt like studio 28 was around the corner. They listened to all my ideas and were fully on board, keeping me informed and valuing my ideas. The design that Rafael produced was unreal-- it was so much better than I could have dreamed of and so creatively done to also represent my personality. My actual tattoo day was great- there was no rushing, I had time to sit and check my design without pestering, we discussed ant adaptations and my thoughts before we began. Actual tattooing was great: easily the most comfortable experience I've had as he was so gentle with the needle and regularly checked how I was getting on. I'm thrilled with my design and can't wait to see it healed.
I got my first tattoo done here 2 months ago and it was an amazing experience! The studio was clean and the staff was very friendly! My tattoo artist was patient, calming, and very helpful! I love my tattoo! It still looks great! If I would have had the time, or money, that night, I would have gotten a piercing there!

I had an issue with my piercing, and I came to Studio 28 to purchase proper cleaning products for my piercing. They took their time to explain the prognosis of my piercing -whether it was infected or not. They also gave me a few generous tips of what I could do to keep up with the cleaning! Very friendly staff! Never got anything pierced here, but would come back if I had the chance!
Vicki was amazing!!! I felt so comfortable with them, they made sure I knew everything I was getting into, and they very very gentle and caring. I unfortunately forgot the other employee s name, but they were great with explaining pricing and made sure to be very efficient with COVID procedures. Best piercing experience ever! Love that they use top of the line metal, it is worth the money. 10/10 experience.
One of my helix piercings was ripped out while at work (I work with children), so I ran in hoping to get a quick replacement. They got me in right away, and Saylor was so friendly and knowledgeable. I've been back twice since to have other piercings replaced, and it's always a great experience.

If you're looking for a place to get a tattoo, Studio 28 is the place to go. I got my first tattoo there a few days ago and had a great experience. Peter, the guest artist who did my tattoo, was patient, answered all of my questions and made me feel at ease. The studio itself is extremely clean and interesting to look at (lots of art on the walls). I definitely recommend.

Studio 28 is my place for tattoos and piercing. I have had issues with piercings, based on my sensitivity to metals, but Saylor and TJ are the best and will answer all your questions and calm any nerves. Rafael Marte is my go to artist. He has helped to me to put my thoughts and images on paper due to my lack of artistic ability. I have gotten four tattoos and one beautifully made custom earring done through this studio, and will continue to use them!!!

If you haven t fully conceptualized your tattoo and a custom but simple one, choose a different parlor because they don t draw these with you beside them when you want something not straight off of google or Pinterest; they plot shapes and images on a computer. There s no one on one. And if you still can t put your ideas into words regardless of the explanations you try to give, photos you show; he ll make you feel inferior, like a pest and out of your element as if you aren t spending hundreds of dollars here. I m sure only my artist is like this but otherwise, I won t be coming back. Plus my tattoo is a bit off center

I was recently (3/11/17) pierced at Studio 28. About six of my girlfriends also got pierced (mostly ear and one genital). All members of the staff were super professional, personable, knowledgeable and strategic with placement. As a doctor, I really appreciate the attention to cleanliness, the packaging of the instruments, the detailed explanation of the instruments/process/aftercare and the piercing artist's specific attention to piercing placement regarding each of our individual anatomy. These artists know what they are doing and they do it well! Kirsten was my piercing artist. She was so awesome and so sweet! I went in the room with my friend who got a labia piercing with Sailor. He was equally amazing! One more shout out to the young man at the counter that welcomed us. He was patient with all 7 of us and answered all of our questions. We never felt rushed or in the way. Thanks for a great experience!

I came in as a walk in tonight to have my nipples pierced. I have to say that it was the friendliest piercing shop i ve ever been to. The people at the desk and the piercer himself. I had the pleasure of being pierced by Saylor. He was super funny, and got the job done in a timely, efficiant manner. Having such a personal part of your body pierced is always a little nerve wracking and I really appriciate that he took the time to make sure I felt comfortable. On a whim I stopped by to find some jewelry for my previously-stretched ears. Maybe plugs, maybe new septum jewelry. I didn't actually know what I wanted! Everyone inside was very helpful and professional, and they figured out what size my ears were and we picked out a nice set of plugs. I definitely recommend them!
For someone who has never had a tattoo before, my first tattoo experience at Studio 28 was great. The place is clean, not-intimidating, friendly. Rafael Marte is incredibly talented. This studio is amazingggg! I always feel so comfortable and at home when I am there. It's insanely clean (have you seen that spotless bathroom???) and everyone who works there is very knowledgable about what they are talking about. I've been tattooed by Olivia Marie and Ralph Rosa -both absolutely amazing and talented artists, and honestly I would get tattoo by anyone who works there. (just check out their portfolios to see which artist's style matches what your'e looking for) I've also been pierced by both Kirsten and Vicki- (have you seen the jewelry there?? It's GORRRRRRGEOUS)- everyone is super cool, super talented, and super professional but not in a way that makes you feel like you're dealing with a robot. 10/10 would let them poke holes in my body again!

I went to Studio 28 today intending only to check it out and maybe ask for a consultation, but the moment I walked in I decided I would get my tattoo right away. I asked if they did walk-ins and they did, so I went for it. The place was very clean, the staff were friendly, and my tattoist Paul did a great job with my ink. I visited tattoo 28 about a month ago to get nipple piercings. I found this location through Google, and decided to go because of their amazing ratings. Before visiting there location I called and inquired about pricing and hours of operation being that I was commuting about 1 hr 30 mins. Upon my arrival I was greeted by a friendly gentlemen who was nice enough to walk me through everything. The gentlemen that pierced me was AMAZING he was very nice and patient with me. It was the best piercing experience I have ever had. I would 100% recommend anyone this particular location, it was worth the commute!!

This place was very clean and sanitary. It was my first experience at a place like this and it was very good. All the employees were friendly. They gave proper explanations about the process and after care. I got a double helix piercing which was ALMOST painless and quick. Vickie made me feel comfortable and relaxed. This studio is great. I got a piercing here back in Feb and everyone was accommodating then. I came in today for a tattoo and had an awesome experience. Bo was my artist and he was meticulous, receptive, and has a great eye for detail. He worked with me even until after closing and not once did I feel like he was rushing to go home. He took his time, did great work, and was very kind.
Everyone is very friendly and willing to answer any questions. In light of the pandemic, the space is very clean with chairs more than 6 feet apart. They take your temp at the door and everyone wears masks the entire time. Very professional, very health-conscious. I'm so glad I picked them and I'm for sure going back for my next tattoo

The piercing was okay but then I came back 3 months later and they can care less about you. I waited over 50 minutes for a freaking earring change!! Moreover, they told me I can come get my earrings changed after 3 months for free as part of the whole procedure. However, when he saw I didn't want to buy his own earrings and I brought a change of my own, he charged me $11 that I was never supposed to pay. Let's just say that I'm gonna look elsewhere for my next piercing...

I have a chest panel and a third of my back done from this shop, all custom pieces from their artists. Don's have any piercings myself, but that floor is always busy as well. I was looking for a place near my house, and a looooot of my friends recommended me to JuL head. I had heard about Studio 28 Tattoos and Body Piercing for some time, and I had no doubt that this was where I wanted to go. In July, I got my daith pierced by Kat in July, and a double helix piercing by Boge in November.
Definitely is pricey but also a really quality piercing experience. Super professional and informative.
This was one of the best piercing experiences I have. The staff was very polite and the piercer Kirsten was very detailed in explaining what kind of jewelry best fit my ear. They also took time to explain the different prices of jewelry too!
When it comes to safety against COVID I would rate them 10/10. Temperature check when you walk in as well as hand sanitizer, and they enforce social distancing!

I had a great experience with the highly professional and super nice people at Studio 28. Saylor did my rook and forward helix piercings. I was extremely nervous, but seeing how knowledgable and professional he was quickly put my mind at ease. He very thoroughly explained everything he was doing; this not only calmed me down, but also gave me confidence that the piercings would look exactly the way I wanted them to.
Everyone here is extremely careful and thorough about sterility and cleanliness. They also have a big selection of implant-grade jewelry.

I came in for a double helix piercing with my sister. Kirsten did our piercings and she was awesome. She explained everything thoroughly and answered all our questions and she showed us how all the materials were sterilized. She reassured us that if we had any questions we can always come back to the shop or contact her at any time. Everyone at the shop was very helpful and knowledgeable. Went to Studio 28 on my daughter's 7th birthday to get her first set of ear piercings. I read glowing reviews of the place, and honestly the staff and establishment lived up to their (near) 5-star rating. From the moment we stepped in the door as walk-ins, they were friendly and accommodating. They allowed my daughter to pick her own earrings and explained the whole process to us and to her.
Saylor did her piercing and, again, was super friendly and patient, often talking calmly and reassuringly to my daughter. He took the time to mark the ears well and then made a quick and nearly painless piercing. My daughter hardly flinched. No tears. He took as much time as was necessary to get it right and make sure she felt comfortable.
Bottom line: Yes, you end up paying more than a mall shop for a "simple" ear piercing, but the time and attention they give your child, the level of training of the piercer, the level of sterility and cleanliness, the implant grade quality of the earrings, and the attention to accuracy in placement and orientation of the earrings make it worth every penny.
You're punching permanent holes in your child's ears. Do yourselves a favor and do it right. Go to Studio 28.

I found studio 28 after LOTS of research and I could not be happier with my experience. They were extremely professional and clean, and there was a great vibe in the shop. I got my nosed pierced. I was very impressed with their protocol from start to finish. They took the time to help me select the right post and placement, they went over the top to give me an extremely sterile and clean piercing, I got clear and helpful post-procedure instructions, and they provided information for keeping in touch if I had any questions or concerns when I left. And, they were VERY AFFORDABLE. From start to finish this place did not disappoint. I would highly recommend TJ and Saylor to any and all looking for tattoos and/or piercings. They are the best in the industry.

Got the rook piercing today and I can say that everything was great. Someone attended to me when they seen me assured me that there are people ahead of me and let me look at different barbells. Kirsten did my piercing and was very sweet and made me feel very comfortable which took the edge off . It barely hurt.i was then discussed aftercare which a lot of places don't tend to do. I would definitely go back to this piercing studio.
Was going to NYC for the weekend. Researched many shops in Manhattan. Based on the website and reviews went with Studio 28. Communication with TJ was great, worked out the design, price, location all via e-mail. Could not be feel any better about the experience and the work. Gunny is a great artist. I went to Studio 28 for two microdermals in my collar, I am very glad I chose them!
When I first called the gentleman on the phone was extremely nice in answering all my questions, and he gave me a great quote.
Brandon was my piercer, he sat down and talked to me about exactly what I wanted to have done, he was very outgoing and friendly. He marked where they would go and made sure the alignment was perfect, he even accounted for my scoliosis so they would be straight even though my shoulders are not. When I decided on a spot and jewelry we were ready to start.
He made sure everything was sterile, the place felt clean. The piercing itself was quick and painless and, he kept me informed of what he was doing throughout the procedure. They look fantastic!
After clean up, he left me with great aftercare instructions.
I am more than pleased with Studio 28 and would definitely go back.

From the moment I called studio and enquire about getting my tattoo done over there, I just felt a good vibe about the while place. Prove that my intuition wasn't wrong, came immediately after I walk in for the first time. T.J. ( owner) is a really easy going, polite and a nice human being for whom You can tell right away thjt knows how to handle the business. And he is doing it right IMHO.
Jason Ackerman is the artist who I chose to do my tattoo. 3 sessions and around 12 hours of work. I cannot describe how I am happy with the outcome of it, whole process and experience in general. Beside the fact he is master of his Art, Jason is a super friendly, easy to communicate with, and a true professional.He Patiently answered to all my questions I had about my tattoo, and about tattooing in general.
All in one, from the beginning to the end of all processes I felt welcomed, like I know the guys for a while. I didn't feel like a customer who is there to get things done. I think that is the most important thing to say about studio 28.
Looking forward to come back again, and will continue to brag about how great this studio is!

Got a tragus piercing by Saylor and I love it! He made it quick and easy- as it should be. I felt no pain and have had very minimal swelling or discomfort (got it 2 days ago) which was a relief for me given all my previous ear cartilage piercings swelled up crazy after a day. He was friendly and knowledgeable, definitely a pro. I also liked the selection of opalescent studs, looks great! They even gave me a bottle aftercare solution, couldn't be happier with my piercing experience, would definitely recommend Saylor for piercings!
