This company has decided that it is fair to keep 25% of the total trip cost after a Student trip to New York City had to be canceled do to the Covid-19 pandemic. It is reprehensible that they would keep one dime of peoples money at a time like this. Do not do business with these people.

Would give negitive stars if possible. Keeping people's money, because the trips that where for and supposed to happen got cancelled because of Covid 19. I understand some of the money that has been paid may not be refundable. But parent's should get a 100% of their cash back. It wasn't their fault the trip got cancelled.
Affordable trip price, excellent customer service, all around great experience! Thanks to Student Adventures for a safe, fun, and educational trip to Washington DC. My daughter and her class mates had a great time and gained a lifetime of memories.
From the enrollment process of the trip, and all the communication in between, to the actual trip itself we had an amazing experience with Student Adventures. My daughter learned so much about our country's history in such a short time and she is now asking that we take our entire family to DC!
While I completely understand that Student Adventures has many upfront expenses for these trips and has to get refunds of their own, when our son's trip was cancelled because of COVID-19, it was really disappointing to learn that we were only getting refunded 75%. That means that SA is keeping nearly $200/child and adult chaperone! This was an expensive trip and some students have been saving for 2 years for it. Yes, travel insurance could have been purchased but come on, who can expect a pandemic! Even my auto insurance company has reached out to proactively refund some of our already-paid premium since we're not driving! Seems like SA is taking advantage of this situation a bit. Never expected to get 100% refund but this is disappointing.
Great staff, excellent service and great accommodations within all venues of our trip! Wouldn't think about going anywhere else. If you are not with Students Adventures, you are paying to much and not getting the quality you deserve!
During a pandemic where the president shut down the country, Student adventure only refunded students 75% of their trip money. Although it was no fault of the students. Student adventures profited about $250.00per student during a pandemic, when parents are getting laid off and have no jobs and could use that money NOW!! You should be ashamed of yourselves, banking off of a pandemic!! Horrible morals! Thinking about contacting the news stations!!
We had a great time on our trip. Student adventures took care of all our needs. No issues, very easy to use, and accommodated all of our needs. Our tour guide and contact Brian went above and beyond from our fist trip meeting till we returned home.
As a trip Sponsor, I was very impressed with the professionalism of everyone at Student Adventures. We went to Chicago, which is not too far away, but the students & parents stated they had never experienced Chicago like this before! Parents were very impressed with our tour director Brian, on how efficiently he handled everything for us. I loved our trip! The kids were busy & happy, but also had some free time to explore & shop. Thank you Student Adventures for a very successful trip! I would highly recommend this company!!!
Awful company. Took advantage of a global pandemic to not refund 25% cost of a trip where no services were rendered. Can only hope karma catches up to them and get what is coming to them. Never again.
Poorly organized trip to Washington DC with Davison Middle School. Did not get to spend time at memorials. Completely skipped four planned activities. Bus drivers did not have directions to locations. Very poor experience. The highlight for the kids wa a dinner cruise, they loved it.
Fantastic travel company! I used them for multiple trips with my middle school band program and they were very helpful throughout the entire process. Our tour consultant is a retired band director and he made sure our itinerary was educational and fun for all of the students and adults that went on our trips! Very competitive pricing, great customer service and thorough in all parts of the process. Highly recommend!
I am so satisfied with how our account and planning is being handled. Erin is always patient with all of my million questions that I have and gets back to me promptly and makes sure all of my needs are met.
Student Adventures is a great company to work with. Lyndsie and Kristen are easy to work with. They answer questions in a timely fashion. I would highly recommend this company.
I had the great opportunity to partner with Student Adventures and take my middle school students on a trip to Chicago. Needless to say this experience was hands down one of the best that we did. The payment plan flexibility, tours and accommodations were awesome! The customer service was great and the tour director was extremely knowledgeable. I highly recommend them for your group.
Student Adventures plans perfect trips for student groups in every location. They pick hotels that provide a memorable experience. The trip is perfectly organized, the accommodations great, the food fantastic and activities that provide interest and knowledge. The tour escort is always attentive to the group and keeps everyone safe, busy and entertained. Each group will enjoy their planned adventures, with just the right personal attention and making memories to last. Don t miss a trip with Student Adventures!
This company pays great attention to detail and they have a pretty impressive/knowledgeable staff. Easy enrollment and payment process. My daughter is looking forward to her class trip this fall to Boston.
We are so glad we sent our son to Chicago for a band performance trip!! Student Adventures is a great company that pays attention to the things that usually would worry a parent while their child is away from them. Keep up the good work!! P.s. your staff is wonderful!!
I've been using Student Adventures for our school's 8th grade Washington D.C. trip for many years now...and I wouldn't have it any other way. They're a wonderful company that makes planning a school trip an enjoyable process. Their staff is friendly and supportive. The registration process is user friendly. And every year it feels like they go above and beyond to make sure that everyone on the trip has a memorable experience.
My husband and I were skeptical at first because of some negative reviews on Google. However, Student Adventures is very well organized and their employees were very helpful whenever we had concerns. Our daughter had a wonderful time in Washington DC! We have two more children to experience their 8th grade trip and we look forward to working with Student Adventures again.
My daughter went to DC in May 2017 with her class. Loved every minute of it. It was very well organized , the school and SA kept parents up to date on all activities. A good amount of time was spent at all monuments and museums registering my son now for his trip next year
Owner Tammy Adams Koester hasn't responded to anything we ha e sent her.
This company has taken advantage of a horrible situation and a group of 8th graders and their parents from a small Catholic school . We booked our 8th grade class trip through student adventures but with this covid -19 pandemic were forced to cancel the trip because the state of Michigan and Ohio and several other states which we would've been traveling through are shut down for group gatherings and schools have been forced closed for remainder of school year. This to student adventures has decided to keep 25% of our money which comes out to over $200 per family for a grand total into their company of over $8,440 with out counting chaperone money they will be keeping , instead of doing the right thing and keeping a small portion like the other travel groups that did other schools in our area , they only kept $35 and refunded the rest to parents but not student adventures and when our parents emailed or called they either got a generic email response which turns out is the covid policy they threw into place or no answers to phone calls ... However we did receive an email yesterday stating they will be keeping 25% and depositing it in 4 separate transactions ....... I URGE any school group not to use this tour company they are not trustworthy and in my opinion not worth the time unless you like losing money , even with the govenor saying these refunds due to covid -19 must be repaid they still kept their cut .... Please think twice before using these guys for any school trips
I have been working with Student Adventures to plan meaningful trips for our students for the past seven years. I have nothing but amazing things to say about this company. Their attention to detail is impressive. No other company has been able to match their pricing or their level of service. I highly recommend them for any student travel.
Any company that would use this pandemic to profit for not delivering services has no morals. We lost $200 on our son s trip, due to a 25% cancellation fee? We weren t the ones that cancelled it. Any other company that promises a service and then can t deliver would have to refund the money. What makes them any different? And judging by the amount of people on here saying the same thing, this company made tens of thousands of dollars without having to deliver a promised product. Absolutely horrible ethics, to take advantage of a situation in such a manner.
Had a fantastic weekend chaperoning the Chicago freshman class trip. The organization of this trip was second to none, and if you are ever looking to plan a trip for your kids at school, I can t recommend Brian and Student Adventures enough. Excellent planning, scheduling, and full days of activities. These kids will remember this trip forever!
I had a great time in Chicago on my 9th Grade trip! I loved the "Bean"! We got to see the Blue Man Group performance & a Chicago Dogs game. We were busy & had a lot of fun. The experience was Awesome!
Refuse to give us all of our money back. Going to keep 25% for their service and work. No trip=no money. Return our money so we can afford for our kids to go on a trip next year
Student Adventures showed their true colors during this virus pandemic. Unlike all reputable companies that were giving full refunds, they decided to keep $175 from every 8th grader that had planned to go to Washington DC. They claim they needed it to cover their costs. 8th graders are not responsible for your employee pay! The government passed a package for that. The 8th graders paid for a service. You were not able to deliver that service, understandably. As such, a full refund should be given like all other reputable companies are doing. Why do you feel you deserve to take $175 from every 8th grader and keep it? I am sure your vendors, if they were reputable, also gave you your deposits back. It is shameful for you to keep kids money for no services rendered. What a horrible company.
Last year my daughter went on a trip to Washington DC and had a great time. She loved the tour guides (especially Gary) who interacted with the group. This year I tried logging in to sign my other daughter up. I had trouble - contacted Erin at Student Adventures, she had the problem solved within an hour! Looking forward to our second trip. Great company!
