Absolutely Mario Italian Restaurant Review

Absolutely perfect in every way!! From making the reservation for (8) all the way thru dessert, we had the ideal dining experience! Old world friendly/courteous service (with a smile). The food was absolutely delicious and the service was top shelf! I can't say enough!! I highly recommend Absolutely Mario's! Went there for the first time - first of many more!!! Huge fan! Thanks Mario!!

Absolutely Mario was a perfect ending to a wonderful birthday. The food was excellent and the service impeccable. Love love love and definitely will return again and again.

Went there last night with the family. My 10 year old son is a picky eater and did not really like anything on the menu. He asked for pizza which was not on the Menu. So settled for spaghetti and meatballs. Later to our surprise Mario sent one of his workers to the supermarket and surprised him with a personal pepperoni pizza. What a great host top notch service. Then my daughter 8, did not like the way her chicken fingers were cooked. So he had the kitchen remake them. We were little embarresed by all of this but Mario was cool with all the fuss. If u have a picky eater just call Mario a day earlier or couple hours before you arrive and he will make sure your child has what they like.

Oh my goodness I'm lost for words..... the best I've ever I'm an over the road truck driver been into lots of restaurants and this place tops the top..

The decor is so nice. The wait staff is wonderful. A gentleman comes around playing an accordion which was very nice. He sang Happy Birthday to me and it was funny and endearing and very sweet. The food was good to above average. We had fried mozz in a lemon sauce which is on the regular menu and was delicious. My husband had ravioli shrimp which was a special and he enjoyed it. I had Grouper. It was a special and was good just not different than any other place. The people make this place and the attmoshere. I would go again.

Haven't missed a Valentine's day with the family in 3 years.

It was far too crowded and noisy they kept adding tables to a very crowed room the food was good but it took a very long time to receive our food

This place is a hidden gem. Waiter,owner and everybody was great.

Sorry, I just was not happy with my meal, the stuffed red pepper, had a few bite size pieces of some meat, and the pepper was way to hard, should have used the long green Italian peppers ( Donyanell pepper) my main course was a Short Rib, was full of fat, never saw so much fat on a Short Rib, and as usual I said nothing, because I'm afraid to send things back . Sorry Mario , I would no recommend the place to my friends. Service was great, I think Mario or manager , went to all tables and said hi..waiter was also nice. I should have sent good back, but I suffered thru it

Food and service was good. Place is clean, slow service at the bar but makes a good drink. Nothing to complain about but dont see what all the hype is about. In my opinion there are better italian places closer to us .

It's one of the best Italian restaurant around town. The staff was really welcoming and quick with everything on a very busy Friday evening. Kudos to Alex, probably the greatest host ever.

Way overpriced for the portions. Veal Marsala was one piece cut in half with no pasta. Pasta was extra as a side. Never again.

Went there with a large crowd after a burial. The staff was at first overwhelmed but they kept their cool. They were very accommodating and even made meals for the kids that were not even on the menu.a bit pricey but the food was good.

I arrive at this excellent restaurant often as I enjoy the ambiance that is part of this restaurant. The team is highly loving and experienced. The service is absolutely fast. Also, the food they serve is excellent. I frequent more than once and I was always satisfied. The payment is fair. I suggest this restaurant to my friends and family.

Superb service, food prepared and served wonderfully, not large portions but ample. Can me a nice quiet and romantic setting especially by the fire place. Nice size bar also. Great date night location. They also have a nice New year's Eve celebration too.

Love this place, and the owner. Owner, Mario, cooked for myself and some fellow soldiers while we were down for hurricane sandy in 2012. Place looked open but was in fact about to close. Owner was having dinner with wife and inlaws, refused to have us leave and personally cooked for 4 soldiers later in the evening. Food was incredible, atmosphere was amazing, and obviously the service was the best I've ever experienced

Great place. Love their creamy pesto pasta. Dennis the bar tender is the best. If you are around Farmingdale area, it's a must visit place. You will love the place, people and off course the food.

I was Very Disappointed in this restaurant tonight. The service Outside was Super Slow, I think the waiter forgot about us, and the food was salty. I don't think I'll be returning. There are a lot of other restaurants to try!

Good family style Italian. The wait staff was wonderful during our meal. We had a large group for lunch. They have a coat check in, the bathrooms were small but clean, and the food was delicious.

Alex was a amazing host and the food was classic Italian. Would recommend to anyone.

Italian restaurant.. Very noisy and cramped... Food took very long to arrive and when it did it was cold.

The ambiance is great and the service is very good. The dishes we ordered were good.

Nothing shy of excellent. The veal chop special was amazing. The softest piece of veal I've ever had. Service is impeccable, food was amazing I'll drive back from Queens often for the food.

Many thanks to Mario and his staff for a delicious and thoughtful early evening family dinner for our group of 10. Mario's warm greeting was a great start to the dinner and that was only the beginning. Cocktails were yummy; Mario's suggestion of an antipasto platter were dead on. Our dinners were without exception delicious. Our table, while larger, was intimate and well located. Thank you, Mario, thank you staff, our experience was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!!!

Great spot. You cant go wrong with Italian food. Was looking for somewhere to go on a Saturday night and saw the menu and great reviews. Mario welcomed us personally, sat us at a cozy booth. We got drink specials, and stayed with the specials as opposed to the menu. Bacon wrapped shrimp and Fresh Wrapped Mozzarella apps, great entrees, and killer dessert. Prices were below what I expected. Waitress was wonderful. Very cozy warm place, (bathrooms had no heat). Generous wine by glass portion

The best Italian food restaurant I have visited. Great variety of dishes, the best appetizers and desserts, a unique seasoning and exceptional attention. You will love it and want to come back many times!

Just like the name, it was absolutely fabulous! I had the combo shrimp and chicken with scampi sauce over rice and the flavor was popping! The special app of the day was fried zucchini which complemented the meal wonderfully.

I usually don t rate restaurants if they didn t live up to the hype. Anyway, place is nice. People are very welcoming. The reason I am giving two stars less:
1. As soon as I walked in, felt some moldy smell. Wasn t the right feeling when you are entering the food place. I would feel more comfortable with natural or neutral smell. No fancy perfume smell or anything that makes it feel like you are trying to hide something
2. Food, the most important part of the whole experience. Was mediocre. I am sorry, but the truth is it wasn t true Italian. It seemed like amateurish. I have seen other restaurants in the area, which have best taste. Food quantity was large portion, but I would trade that for much smaller portion with good flavor/taste. At the same time it has to be not too fatty.

I know some of you may not like my view, but that is what I felt.

It just is. The food and service are great and it's the same every time. We're here right now.

Have been eating here for a few years now and always enjoy it. The atmosphere is very lovely, the staff (especially the owner) are very warm and accommodating, and the food is great - have never had any problems with it. Very nice touch when they have the accordian player traveling around.

Mario and the staff make this a great dining experience each and every time I come here. The food is fresh and delicious and the drink and wine selection are awesome too. Love this place!

Came here with family on Father's day after Adventureland. Good food, reasonable prices. Nice owner with a cute story.

Went to a Reunion dinner for 60+. A little crowded but handled well by the staff. The food was far above average which is difficult in a setting for so many people. But they pulled it off.
