I am writing this review for Ally Benevento at Strom Law Firm, even though I rarely leave any reviews online. Last year, I had very unfortunate series of events which involved two different counties. The allegations were false, so I needed someone I could trust who can defend and represent me. Ally Benevento was and is a beacon of hope to my life as my options appeared to be very limited and the likelihood of satisfactory resolutions seemed nigh on impossible. I was afraid because I thought I was going to lose everything, but Ally continued to be a moral supporter to me in the times of need. Not only was she able to defend me from unjust false accusations, her calm and empathetic demeanor offered me hope throughout the process. Ally has excellent knowledge in law, and she is an expert and very smart. In addition, she has a quality that most lawyers do not have, which is honesty. The results have been nothing but short of miracles because the charges have been dismissed from one county completely, and charges are getting resolved from the other county as well.

To be quite fair, the legal cost at Strom Law Firm is not cheap, but you want someone who can defend you thoroughly and someone who cares for you. This firm published a memo that grossly misinformed the public of the circumstances of their clients arrest, after a dually appointed LAW enforcement officer attempted to detain their client. The client refused to comply with lawful direction given by the officer.
This firm's characterization of the incident is misleading and incorrect.

Strom Law Firm LLC GOES ABOVE & BEYOND to serve their clients. My husband had something on his criminal record that was never supposed to be there. This was about 20 years ago and it always bothered him. We've tried over the years to get ANY SC attorney to call us back and let us know what steps to take or to help us get it expunged. We never received a single call back. And these calls were to prominent law firms recommended to us. We were baffled by this, but every year we would try again. I am glad we waited. The person who took our call, McKenzie Redmond could not be any sweeter. She walked us through what items we needed for when the attorney was going to call back in the next hour. (Seriously?? We couldn't pay someone to call us back. Is she really going to?) Sure enough, attorney Stephanie Jones called earlier than expected and had a brief conversation with my husband and I about our options. We felt so comfortable from the very first call. We retained them right there. Next to contact us was Kristi Kole, paralegal. We submitted everything to her and paid the retainer immediately. The transaction itself was hassle free, drama free, quick, sensitive to our needs, Kristi's follow up emails with updates (unprompted) kept us abreast along the way. In the end the expungement was completed and to celebrate Stephanie phoned us. I promised to write this review because if you don't call Strom Law Firm for assistance, you have chosen the wrong firm. I spent 40 min on the phone being probed by an inexperienced receptionist/ paralegal airing out my laundry so to speak just to be told the number to the bar association. In fact I was given ch on another name for it but it meant the same. When I asked her was that the bar's she smoked screened it just to get me to hang up. But their web page is beautiful impeccable. Just the middle man between the general public & lawyer is unacceptable.

Initially called for some legal counsel representation. I was greeted professionally on the phone but was immediately told that this firm would not take on my case. When I asked why, the personnel replied due to the amount of time that had lapsed. I knew right away that she did not hear nor understand what I was explaining to her. So, once again, I attempted to explain. Then I was told someone who specialized in the area I needed assistance maybe able to help and would call me back. The next day I did receive a voicemail from the Strom Law firm and promptly returned their call only to be advised that the attorney would not take my case. Never once talking to me, listening to me, looking through all my files. Isn t this what a free consultation is for? That would be the time for him/her to do that then make that decision. I m sure this was purely based on the amount of money he would have been making. But honestly, I am glad I didn t waste my time making appointment and carrying all my files with me, spending the effort of discussing my issue with an attorney who couldn t even take the time to listen from the beginning. There is a total lack of follow through at this law firm. They say they will take care of things but they don''t actually do anything unless you repeatedly call them. Even then, they miss basic details of what they were told. Six months after the initial contact, I ended the relationship as they had done nothing that they said they would. They did refund my money in a timely manner but I recommend you find a more trustworthy firm if you are looking for results.

Ms. Ali helped my husband tremendously with his case, I would highly recommend this firm to anyone needing very professional, courteous & caring counsel. I cannot thank her enough for everything that she has done to help us.
