I do safety inspections and was sick of buying $10-$20 flashlights that take batteries and lasts as long as one just the one set of batteries. I bought a rechargeable microstream 250 lumen for $30-$40 well over a year ago and it has been abused as any shop tool would, but still works like I just bought it. I always thought streamlight was all hype until I got this miniature spotlight that has lasted this long with so much use and abuse. Now I m looking into a tactical one with I think 850, or 1000 lumens. Definitely the best lighting on the market.

In general I am pleased with my Streamlight flashlights, but not the company. As fire police there are times when I need to be in rain. Stingers do not like rain. One of my Stingers got wet and drained my batteries (I tried multiple full charged batteries) within days. Flashlite was sent back to Streamlight multiple times and always returned in the same condition. Their tech department was unable to determine a fix and no alternative was offered. All gaskets were always in good condition. Not impressed with customer service.

product suggestion : that while charging any light , say with a portable battery, it would be a working light while tethered to the charger. otherwise you have a useless light or a light you only use less .more versatility while charging please. And I do understand you may not so much be charging at that time you might use whats being pumped in. thanks Streamight great products ,

Given the abysmal customer service, and (so far my experience) horrible product quality i can't even fathom how they are still in business. Here's the short of it, a year ago i bought one of their flashlights with a charger and 2 batteries off the tool truck for about $200 which was pretty close to the online price. One battery died within a week. Was told by them and the truck that the battery wasn't covered under their warranty. A few days after that I started having issues with the switch on it, it would turn on and occasionally cycle through modes on its own and to turn it off you have to smack it on something hard. Its been a year and I've been bounced back and forth between the truck and streamlight, my last call with them they wanted me to now send the light in for service which would take 2 MONTHS! Talk about a big waste of time and money, but hey they got their $200 so what do they care. Needless to say at this point I'm out $200, have a broken light, a dead battery and tons of time gone dealing with this.

I've had a stream light for years. One day it would stay on soon as you put a battery in or took it off charge. I contacted and mailed it to stream light, they replaced all the internals, put a new lens in it and replaced the charging plate all free of charge, under a life time warranty without question. Highly recommend stream light products!!
