Lastly if you like to go for cycling.. they provide cycles to pedal and enjoy the pleasant nature !!!!

One of the best place near Bangalore with affordable cost. Clean and calm place ever seen, ambiance was awesome in this hill station alongside stream. Indoor games like badminton and Archery is really a stress busters. Playing Outdoor game in mud volleyball is a very different and wonderful experience for mind n health. Bathing in river stream Is fabulous. Food is tasty n room are clean and Hygiene

Far away from traffic, big buildings, this property is very well situated in between greenery, paddy crops, coffee plantations, early morning fog...you will like it at first look for sure.
Reasonably priced including 2 meals, 1 breakfast, snacks and all the activities.
Room, toilet, bed, bed sheets are very clean, no mosquitos (yes!), anytime hot water...very well maintained.
Food was good, like they say it tastes homemade.
Just open your back door and you will see a stream flowing thru, which is knee length and no danger you can play with kids for a long time.
The zip-line, slush volley ball, rain dance, a mini trekking to sunset point, early morning cycling to a near by temple, kids trampoline, kids play area, indoor games, individual bonfire for each group along with hot pokodas in the chilly weather and many more - my wife and kids really enjoyed it all.

Very nice hospitality, the staff were very courteous and ready to help whenever required.

We had a great time. Dorm, staff & hospitality were commendable. Food was very tasty and was served on time.
We thoroughly played everything Cricket, Badminton, Table Tennis, Carrom all were arranged very well. And the stream beside the homestay was truly mesmerizing, we enjoyed a lot.
Zipline, Rope walk, Rain dance were excellent.
Mud volleyball is a must, do not miss this one.
Overall the homestay was amazing!!!!!

I visited this place in a group of 8 people and we all really enjoyed our time over there. The staff and the owner were really courteous and they ensure that everything is in place and we literally didn t had to ask them for anything. The rooms and the dorms are decent enough. You should definitely try the Mud Volleyball game and Rain dance. They have a perfect setup for that. Will definitely give a to this place.

Excellent place beside a stream. Beautiful spot to be with family. Also good for team outgoing. I had stayed there for two days with family, loved the rain, nice playing area for kids and adults. Evening snakes with hot coffee in front of fire was very beautiful. Dinner, breakfast lunch was delicious especially non veg n fish. Mud volley ball, rain dance , cycling activities were good. They also have guide for local trip n trekking. Rooms are well maintained. Thanks for Bharath, Sindhu n staff for their hospitality.

If they could arrange the swiping machine will be much helpful .. Since there is no ATM nearby. Off-course there is a option of PAYTM, but networks are too slow.

Spent a day at stream edge and had a fantastic time. Activities, food and treks nearby made it more memorble. Kudos to the staff !

It was a fantastic weekend at streamedge. Ours was a group of 15 people, family and friends. Trust me, this place has something for everyone, the food was just awesome, the activities never cease to end, it begins right from the word go. Plenty to name It.The beautiful stream is right inside the property and is one of the highlights. Finally the best, relaxing in sit out with our fav drinks and music in the evening with bonfire. For music lovers, they have Karaoke too. Last but not the least, the service is commendable. Complete paisa vasool.

Even though many things were not functional or to the par, I've rated it 5* because it is a perfect package to spend your weekend specially in monsoon. You'll get the taste of Mangalorean or Coastal Karnataka delicacies here. Many sport's activities include mud volleyball, cricket and one adventure sport which I remember of was crossing a small stream on a bridge made of ropes.

Had a corporate team outing with 25 people. Rooms were very clean, ambience was very good, food was awesome. Good place to spend outing, if your team is active. Campfire and trekking to near by temple and hill is good. The way the staff took care of us is to be well appreciated. We will visit again for sure..

We went in 15 members and Overall it's a memorable stay.
Place is attached to road where we can see only few vehicles including KSRTC buses.
They have enough sports activities for the 24 hour package they provide.
Food is good and sufficiently served
Coffees are very good where as tea is ok ok
Rooms are good
Hot water is available all the time
Kind and friendly staffs and management
Bharat and Sindhu were with us throughout the stay

Suggestions for homestay administration
1. Make the path to homestay from road clean for rainy season it will not look good if you do not care this ... Initial impression will be bad so.
2.Homestay inside areas can be maintained well
3.lot of places are wasted inside homestay premises
Spoke this directly to management to improve and they have some plans for that soon..
4.make a zip-line arrangements such that it should be available all the seasons
5. Can make the proper route to reach mud volleyball and rain dance place
6. Fire camp areas can be big for the big group it is not sufficient ..agree we can adjust.
7.karaoke songs list can be updated monthly Because most of the songs were very very old..

Overall nice experience.

While looking for a two day relaxation getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city, I stumbled upon Streamedge homestay and based on the reviews and it being pet friendly decided to go ahead with it.

From the moment we arrived, Sindhu(owner) took very good care of us and we immediately felt at home. Food and accommodation was very good and satisfactory.

The location of the property surrounded by greenery and water was very pleasant and relaxing to the mind and the weather in the evening was just amazing. They have a number of indoor and outdoor games to keep you occupied. The staff is very friendly and a special mention of Dileep is indeed important. He was very attentive to our needs and a great guide as well.

This is a homestay worth every penny.

P.S. Thanks Sindhu for everything, we and our dogs loved the stay.

The Location of the place, the rooms everything was good, but the games like zip-line, ropewalk, bicycles and other indoor games could have been little better. We had visited here offseason, so this by default limited our experience. I would say if you visit here on season times, you'll definitely enjoy a happy and peaceful time. And not to forget, their service, hospitality and food are totally awesome. Don't miss the sunset at devigudda, which is also included in the stay package. Mud volleyball and rain dance are great if there are enough people with you. Overall the experience was great.

Food : Good..homely food.
If more varieties in non-veg provided would be good for nonveg lovers.

Rooms : stayed in wooden cottage, it's spacious, hygienic and well maintained.

Place/location : Good.. enjoyed the ambience.

Campfire : It is the Best.

Activities : Good....lot of indoor and outdoor activities are there.

Rajesh was the best guy...who will take care of all our needs and is very helpful.

The place is ill-equipped to host guests during the monsoon and seems to have lost its standards of hospitality which I expected based on other reviews. The rooms - walls, curtains and bed linen were all unwashed, smelling and mouldy. The approach roads to the property and within the property were both not built, leaving guests to walk through wet mud each time we need to go anywhere. Other guests are allowed to blast loud music while the rest of us our seeking some peace and quiet in what is supposed to be a 'nature retreat'. The owner Sindhu, the manager Bharat and the staff were immediately approached when we experienced these issues but they did nothing to help us out. They seem to be playing favourites where the pleasure of some guests supercedes the convenience of others. Overall, its very poorly managed in the monsoon, and it's overpriced for the quality offered, and it's unprofessional to say the least. Some tents I've stayed in were better!

This place has amazing natural ambience set in lush greenery and hills around, natural fresh water stream exactly behind the rooms.
Talking of the rooms, they are super clean and sanitized frequently with clean washrooms, beds, bed sheets and blankets.
They have exciting adventure games for both adults and kids with utmost precautions taken.
The management and staff led by Sindhu is extremely friendly and accommodative.
They go out of their way to assist you.
Highlight is the food, which is beyond delicious, there is no adjective to describe the food prepared here.
You will be wanting for more food here, it's that tasty and clean.
They have a turf cricket ground with pitch prepared for tennis ball cricket and huge spread of lawn area with kids games and activities.
Loads n loads of outdoor and indoor games and activities for adults n kids
Will definitely visit this place again for their wonderful hospitality and delicious food.

Just one word, Excellent!!!. Highly recommended place for all. The rooms are more luxurious, the beds are incredibly comfortable, the staff are professional, respectful and helpful. The breakfast & food was A++ ; especially chicken biryani was awesome. The two days that we stayed here was great. The place is serene. The staff are very helpful. The hostess, though not present on the premises, was in touch with us over the phone enquiring about our stay. Outdoor activities are good.

Visited for a 1N/2D trip. We stayed in the wooden cottage overlooking a stream. The resort is located away from the main sakleshpur city, hence there is a lot of greenery, peace and quite all around you. You are very close to nature. All around the day, especially the early morning hours - you will see a lot of mist around you and birds chirping. Excellent place for bird watching.
Pros: Location is excellent. The property is located amidst the forest behind a stream. Rightly justifies it's name. Food is very good, simple homemade preparations. Some of the food served is authentic Malnad style.
Staff is friendly and cooperative.
Lots of in-house activities - zipline, rope walking, bicycles, badminton, fooseball, table tennis, rain dance and many more.
They have two trekks included in the package - one sunrise and one sunset. Both were rejuvenating and very enjoyable.
Sindhu, who coordinated with us and help us make the right choices in booking, is equally helpful.
Beautiful balcony with seating for 4 people. Cloth rack for hanging wet clothes.
Cons- Room should have had a coffee/tea station.

We had been to this homestay with a large family of 12 for 2 days. I must say, it was worth the penny. The scenic view of mountains, forest, stream in the backyard, and the farm field are some of the best things I loved about this homestay. Homestay has got lots of indoor and outdoor amenities. The rooms were spacious and clean. also, the staff was so friendly that they even accommodated some of our special requests for food and all. food was exceptionally tasty. Overall we had the best time. Thank you :)

We were a group of 11people, 6 adults and 5 kids and went with the dormitory option. The room was good, clean and airy. Must say that we enjoyed to the core and there was absolutely no nonsense from the staff. They were super friendly, helpful and very prompt. We took the risk of going trekking all by ourselves and lost our way. But the staff were just a call away.. They promptly arrived at the spot and guided us.
Food is awesome, only suggestion would be to bring some more variety to the breakfast.
Kids had round the clock enjoyment with the cute stream and other activities like slush volleyball rain dance and the small play area within the property. They did not even care to ask for any gadgets and enjoyed to the fullest. Very safe environment and with good staff around you feel at peace too even when the kids are out of sight playing. Lot of scenic places and trekking points. Would recommend without a doubt for all the peace lovers and hikers no matter if it's family or group of friends.

This place is great for 2-3 days. The cottages are big enough with 1 king size bed and 1 single bed. Perfect for family of 3. Wooden cottage has a nice balcony with a nice view of greenery and the stream. All basic needs are taken care off. There are few adventure sport activity as well as indoor games options available. Rain dance and mud volleyball are too good.Bonfire is arranged at lawn/gazebos/indoor play area. The area is good for group of friends and family. Lush green lawn, cricket ground and lot of trees made the place a perfect one. The food was also ok not great however one can give instruction to cook to customize the food.

This is the best place to chill out for a weekend near Bangalore. The stay is awesome with well maintained rooms, fun activities, indoor and outdoor games. Food was fantastic. Owners are very polite and always there around for any enquiry.

One of the best homestay we visited. Extremely happy that we chose this for new start on New year. We were there for 3 days and enjoyed thoroughly. My son had his best time and best trip till now. The staff are very friendly and humble. Their hospitality is nice. Food was delicious, no complaints at all. Malnad style cuisine.

Streamedge is a calm and comfortable stay in sakleshpur. The homestay is located in a quiet and calm place. The hospitality and food is wonderful. Indoor games and adventure sports are fun and safe. Improvement points can be better furniture for the rooms.

This place is home away from home. I was visiting Bangalore for a few days and wanted a perfect weekend getaway and this place was perfect.It had great food,outdoor games and good amenities however the differentiating factor was their hospitality. It's is a very good homestay with all the facilities. We went as group for 1 night and it was a pleasant trip for us. We really enjoyed.
Pros-
1. Well mentioned resort. rooms and washrooms are clean.
2. Staffs are really helpful. Owner and his family members are also good, he will manage everything for you.
3. Good options of out door and indore activities - Stream Zip line, rope walk, mud volleyball, rain dance with music, Trampoline, cycling, fuss ball, archery etc
4. They will provide two trip for you, one for evening sunset and early morning sunrise tracking.
5. Individual group campfires with good music and karaoke with barbecue.
6. Lunch & Dinner & evening snacks was good for non vegetarian.

Cons-
1. Breakfast was not good and very less options for veg people.
2. Resort does not have any private water fall, a clean water stream is there. Falls is around 4-5 km away on the way to the resort.
3. We feel resort price was a bit higher side comparing to the other resorts in Sakleshpur.

It was really a wonderful stay, amazing staff, awesome location, clean environment, delicious food, it all gives a homely feeling. The staff takes good care of your needs and makes sure the stay becomes memorable. The property is very well maintained. My 3 year daughter also enjoyed as there were ample activities and games for her to do. We are surely gonna visit this place again.

The place is beautiful,quiet,far from noisy Bengaluru! Us 4 as a family went with our pet dog who simply couldn't get enough running about the open greenery! Great place to walk,trek. The owner Mr Bharat has this karaoke set which we found difficult to let go. We thoroughly enjoyed singing to our heart's content. Surprisingly this is one of the few places where the indoor games are quite well preserved. One thing that can be upped is the food which we found way too oily. Awesome place in the midst of nature..property is just next to a chilling water stream and was surrounded with paddy fields around when we visited..Rooms are nice - spacious and clean.. staff is helpful.. homestay has stream as the main attraction with addon activities such as river crossing, zipline, mud volleyball, rain dance, karaoke etc which can be enjoyed throught the day.. guide was provided for a small trek to a sunset point with awesome view.. Enjoyed a day and half fully..overall a very nice place for a weekend getaway...

The best place for someone looking out for a weekend getaway from Bangalore. Plenty of places to hike in the hills studded with coffee plants especially for bird watchers.. The rooms are clean and the staff is exceptionally warm and helpful.

Sure...please go ahead and show ur true colours am pretty much aware what kind of rooms you have.. the issue is ur commitment.. sending photos of the only wodden cottage you have and they asking the travellers to adjust since it's just for a day....who is sore...??? Travellers visit the place just for a day so be it worth , your job was to give the right info and when agreed on to offer the what was promised and please don't spoil the name of sakleshpur for travellers becuase of your soreness of being an irresponsible owner. The review is because of what we had to go through and has nothing to do with what other customers have rated . The owner send the photos of wooden cottages and expects you to stay in some shady old place but the rate even on the website is the same for both, which is only to confuse people and make an argument like the one that's been done, sakleshpur and the rest of resorts have never been this hopeless money minded, hope the fellow travellers be cautious and not make a mistake of beliving the new breed of money making , misguiding owners.

We went for a two day retreat with family. The reviews don't lie. Caring hospitality, delicious food and activities for adults and kids that just you don't mind repeating. The place is well maintained and relatively new. Perfect escape to get away from the daily routine.

I visited to many resorts but this one was awesome very nice and clean place with good quality and quantity of food, nice gesture our plan was for one night stay and we changed it to 2 nights

I and my friends visited this resort on 10/11/2018 which was a weekend saturday. This place is located on the remote part which is very much away from Sakleshpura city centre. Though the location is good, you won't get cellular network to contact outside world. The resort is pretty new as the some of its part is still developing. Its like a 3 star resort. If you are looking for budget stay, this is place is good. The food is good. Though there are timings for serving food which is bad specially when you are enjoying late night campfires.
There is lot of extra-curricular sports facilities which is not so properly maintained.
Overall resort experience is OK.

Best home stay in the surrounding. Food was very tasty. Environment was good. People are very kind. They will organise good events. Had a great time with my colleagues.

Excellent get away place...lovely staff doesn't say no at all...loved the food spread which suits all types of visitors and consistent all the time. Kids will enjoy and they have their own world...I am sure kids not be ready to go out...full credit to owners to leave the resort open as much as possible.
Coming to resort, stay is comfortable, lot of activities inhouse for kids and adults, if you check with staff, they'll take you to lovely spots...I would say food is best part of our trip...as said, they have excellent spread with local food, which we loved which was less if spices and more of local flavours...and they have popular menu item too...

Had an amazing time with our family, it was a great stress buster to be in the midst of nature away from hustle bustle of city life. Icing on the cake was the awesome food and hospitality. Lots of activities but couldn't do much bcos of rains, will visit again.

We stayed there for the Independence long weekend for a family vacation. The place is very beautiful and children friendly. The staff are very accommodating and polite. The food is yum and the activities are super fun. The highlight was that it is right next to the river...like literally. rooms are big and the place is pleasantly quiet. the only low point was that there were no cupboards or storage areas in the rooms and the walls are too thin (we could hear the conversation happening in the next rooms) and so we had to talk hush hush. But this is a place where everyone can have fun and unwind. thank you guys....!!!

Very good place for weekend enjoyment and good trekking spot...

We visited sakleshpur with our family - me, my wife, parents and our dog. We were not planning to do much touristy stuff in sakleshpur but go for long walks or just laze around. Streamedge did turn out to be perfect for that. It had clean rooms and lot of open space outside to just sit or play. You can hear chirping birds and peacocks all day. Road nearby was very less crowded so perfect for long walks. One thing you can't ignore during stay is staffs hospitality and friendliness. They really look to make your stay comfortable by cooking yummy food on demand. We wanted to try local Malnad and Mangalorean food and it was superb. Property owners even took pain to get local fruits from their farms. Overall a wonderful place to stay and it is large group friendly with place for your pet

Excellent infrastructure and good hospitality. We vegetarians low spice people found the food spicy. No nearby choices though. The rooms could be better if upgraded with better furniture and fans. Several activities and guided tours to surrounding sights.

Streamedge homestay is located next to a lovely water stream filled with tastefully organised activities. Rooms were spacious with clean bathrooms. Place is very child friendly and filled with enough climbing, rope walking and cycling activities. Night campfire, evening/morning trekking guide and adventure activities are part of your package at no extra cost. That's a real plus. Staff Raju was very helpful and he was an all in all person for any of your needs.

Food was decent and tasteful but can be improved. Also the indoor games though better than most of the homestays, need some maintenance.

Host Sindhu was very responsive and we were allowed to use the property a little while even after checkout time as I had to attend an office call.

Overall we enjoyed our stay and would visit again for all the fun activities next to this stream .

The place is in midst of every thing; the serine landscape, flowing river, huge property.
Situated at foothills gives a pleasure to ones eye the beauty will drool you towards them and once you are atop the view down the valley is awesome and the sunset will surely be dividends for your pain to reach at top.
Worth mentioning are the owners; Shanoj and Sindhu who are a delight as a host, it never felt that we were tourist rather it felt that we are invited to our friends place so guys do plan your visit at Streamedge.

Perfect place for a weekend getaway to embrace nature at its best! The hospitality is great and food as good as what you get at home. Starting with the owners, everyone at the resort are so kind, accommodating and make your stay a worthwhile one. Loved the place!

Nice homestay next to small steam. Food and facilities are good. Hanbal waterfalls is just 5 km away.

The best part of this property is Hospitality. They serve malnad cuisine which few people may not like. So it would be better you opt for a resort or check with the staffs in advance if they can include North Indian food in the menu. With that said I must say that we enjoyed the taste of the food at every bite. However Breakfast has scope for improvement.
Now some highlight on the stay:Ideal place for group stays. They have in house activities like cricket, badminton, volleyball, table tennis, caroms. Also have a small private pond behind the property, where you can spend some time. They provide cycles to roam around the homestay. This property is not on high altitude hence there is no view from the rooms. They arrange private campfire for the group in very organized ways. The in-house guide took us to the sunset spot which was mesmerizing.
