Streamedge is a homestay in the true sense. The owner & all staff at this homestay make you feel like you are at home & take care of you like family. The home stay accommodation is good with clean surroundings, amenities. The zip line activity in the natural stream & rain dance was enjoyable. We had people from 4 years to 74 in our group. Every person had some or other activity to be engaged in. Suggest staying 2 nights to make most out of the stay. The food was excellent. The owner Sindhu is very kind & provides all information so that there are no surprises. Staff is very helpful & friendly. From booking to our stay everything was very smooth.

Loved every bit of the resort. Can't wait to visit again. The hospitality, facilities, ambience and services rendered definitely is a total 5.

Had good time at Streamedge with colleague's. food was very good, good dormitory room. Guide was provided for trecking activites.

We had been there in the month of January..A really nice homestay in the midst of nature.. nice weather and games/activities. Mud volleyball was cool and so was the zip lining.. Beautiful.food is very tasty.. very friendly staff

Very nice homestay away from hustle bustle of the city. Rooms were very clean and the greenery within the campus is very well maintained. In dinner they served fish fry which was very delicious.
The homestay also arranges a ocal guide for nearby trekking points.

It's a good place to spend a night or two with your loved ones..

- Staff are friendly and respond to your requests.
- property has few activities including, rope way, sludge volly ball, rain dance.
- meticulously arranged the fire place / camp fire.
- a morning or sunset walk near by to resort is more refreshing.

Talk to resort guys beforehand for what your needs are and they will promptly arrange for the same.

Recently visited Sakleshpur and was lucky to be hosted by streamedge homestay.
Property -The owners have ensured that the guests are able to enjoy true and untouched natural beauty. The stream flowing through the property is truly a sight to behold. You go close and then you can hear the wonderful sound of water trickling through the path. Landscaping of the property is at par with high end resorts.
Stay - Amazing hospitality by the staff. They were always available and took complete ownership of making our stay delightful. A guided tour was provided till the sunset point. Food spread was well thought, tasty and homely.
Activities - My family enjoyed zipline splash in the stream, mud volleyball, rain dance and family cricket. I personally spent sometime with the mini golf setup :) There are a number of other activities/sports for group entertainment.

awesome, bole to bindaas. perfect place to stay near clean water stream, listen nature, have good food and then go to height with trekking. Do go for morning trekking and sunset point. Older people can enjoy resort and nearby areas as hill climbing is difficult. Instead of booking from mmt, book directly, it will be cheaper.

This place has been on my wishlist for long and was waiting for the perfect monsoon getaway.
And it happened this long weekend in October, we were really confused if we are at risk but being so fed up stuck indoors decided to step out with all that caution.
And I have no doubts about choosing monsoon time, it was breathtaking. We were 2 adults and a 1 kid aged7 who visited.

Now coming to the review of the place:

It's absolutely serene and beautiful property with a stream beside it.
We stayed 1 day in the regular room and 1 day in the cottage. The view from the cottage is prettier as it is at a rise and more cozy.
There are multiple indoor games inside to kill evening time. The zipline is a must try- you land into the chilly stream.
Sakleshpur is a small town with limited places to see. The most popular tourist places could be a bit far off, we also skipped them.
But if you just want to relax over the weekend, you have everything near it within 4-5km. You have chosen the perfect getaway.
Coming to the food, I read multiple good reviews about the food. It is definitely bit spicy for vegans like us, but quite tasty; I didn't enjoy rice items much. There is no repetition in the 3 days we dined, there is quite some variety everyday and rare subjis of vegetables.
My score point is for appam+coconut milk, baingan bartha + Roti.
Staff are on their toes and trying to keep things clean. Owner sindhu is really friendly and was in touch until we reached +departed.

Places we visited around the property:

1. Hanbal waterfalls not so rushy and safe to take a dip.
Youngsters did climb to the top but the wet rocks could be slippery.
2. 2 hill top treks (early morning sunrise and sunset) taken by the staff Rajesh. One of them is near betta Byraveshwara temple.
View around there is magical and due to misty rain we didn't spot the sun.
3. We visited Sakleshpura swamy temple (that is supposedly closed by noon) and Manjarabad fort - definitely worth the climb of 200-250 steps, view up there is stunning. - enroute from Bangalore.
4. Shettihalli church - while returning to Bangalore- honestly the drive was too tiresome and offroute - I suggest you skip. The church is immersed in water- you have surrounding huge lake where you can take a few clicks. But if you enjoy watching lakes and taking a dip in beachy backwaters- you could try.
Pitstop shopping- favoursome Jaggery chikkis @Hanbal chikki factory near Durga international hotel.
5. Right at the entrance there is a huge paddy field where you could get some beautiful clicks.

Only con is only a few mobile networks work there and there is no wifi. We did waste some time on toll roads due to Oct2nd longweekend made our journey longer, you could choose a normal weekend.
Other than that you must definitely visit there :)

I had been with my elderly parents and young nieces for two days. The place had activities for all of us. Yummy food, helpful and friendly staff. The zipline over the stream and cycling in the midst of green were the main attractions.
I was not happy that we were asked to checkout early, though the checkout time was agreed. Barring that, it was a very good experience in Streamedge

This place is so beautiful and also so peaceful..Food over here is sooo yummmm and the staffs are also very polite..There are other activities which you can enjoy at the homestay. The owner is also very sweet she communicates so well...

Amazing place, very close to nature, beautiful ambiance, good staff and great service... We stayed for 2 nights and occupied the dormitory. It was clean and well maintained. Resort owners Sindhu and Shanoj are flexible to the visitors needs and try to accommodate every request which came from the guests. The indoor and outdoor activities are interesting and engaging. Mud water volleyball was amazing, rain dance, Trampoline, cycling, Rope walk over the stream, zip line was awesome and Bon fire was like an added feather in the cap. Not to forget the Karaoke night which gave an opportunity for all the non singers to sing.. Food was unique malnad cuisine, we all enjoyed it.. Overall i wish that i could rate the resort 200/100. Great going!! Would like to visit the resort again and again...

Steam edge home stay was indeed a home away from home.

We had recently been there to spend our family vacation. Our family includes an extreme of age group from a 65 years old grand ma to a 16 months old toddler and a kindergartener, leaving us to be cautious with our choice of resorts. Besides, we, the weary parents needed a vacation merely to escape the boredom and the exhaustion of everyday stress, not to mention the pandemic woes.

Thanks to Ms. Sindhu who owns stream edge, which came to our rescue to enjoy our holidays. She was considerate enough to clarify our queries and assure us a promising stay.

We chose to go on weekdays. Two nights and days were spent and every minute is an indelible memory. The staff were courteous and helpful at every moment.

The rooms were big and tidy with huge cots and comfortable mattresses covered with clean sheets. The bathrooms were large and hygienic with perennial water supply. These tiny things mattered a lot, as at the end of the day, you would just need a cozy sleep to forget your heavy routine. The rooms had pedestal and celling fans, but the soaring temperatures made us request for another fan and it was delivered to us immediately. It made a huge difference during the daytime, as the nights were anyways cold.

The other superb satisfaction was the food. Again, We had a mix of pure non veg seekers and a veg preferer. Stunningly, our taste buds were kept busy for the entire two days round the clock. The palette of menu both veg and non veg kept us satiated throughout. From the local cuisine to the varied flavours, the kids food to the delicious dessert, our tummies had a great time. Kudos to the cook.

The next attraction was the landscape and adventure activities which covered both children and adults. True to its name, steam edge is laid besides a stream edge. The rooms open up to the stream amidst a lush flora. As it was summer, the stream had minimum water, which became a blessing for us and kids to be playing in water full time. The tiny fishes, the birds chirping, the foresty greenery all helped us give time a break.

The adventure sports were fun and varied. The guide (Rajesh) was there whenever we needed him to help us with the harness and was so patient enough to give us repeated rides. Be it the zip lines, the balance walks, the slush volleyball ( not many places have this), the rain dance with DJ or the trekking... He was there to help us and escort us. Special thanks to him. Kids had a great time on the trampoline, rope climb, swing and see-saw.

The indoor games too were impressive with a galore of games under the roof. The cycling ( a great number of cycles) gave us another level of fitness.

The weather was in line with the summer temperature, but the nights were foggy and chill which made us switch to bon fires. The signature eeried silence of the forests with a blazing fire flames gives you a warm and cozy night to spend with your family before retiring to bed.

On the whole, it was a wonderful and relaxing experience for every one of us, safe, hygeinic, economical and adventurous. Polite staff always available to your call. Stream edge is definitely "once more".

Fantastic location . Has all the ingredients as fun destination. Stream , greenery and isolated from hustle bustle of city life. Food is awesome. Had been their with a big group and had a wonderful time. Great hospitality.

Located on a beautiful spot, next to a stream( true to their name) is this place. With a bagful of activities that includes some treks, you won't have time to get bored. I stayed for a day and that wasn't enough to try all the activities I would say, as it limits your time to take up each activity. I Would recommend a good 2 night stay. Great hospitality as well!

When I first started to search stay in sakleshpur I found a lot of options where one of it was STREAMEDGE. Started my research on this place read almost 50 to 60 reviews where everyone had put up at least 4 or a 5 start review was surprised that how can a place which is just 15 months old has such beautiful reviews.

Then called up the number which was on this link and spoke to a wonderful women Sindhu Gowda, who gave me a brief of the place and activities at her stay available was mesmerised and found to be the best and trust me was superb exited to be a part of it.

Here comes the first day we checked in with a welcome drink by her most trusted boy Dilip who made sure everyone is superb comfortable. The rooms and the bathrooms were so well mainted was very happy to get a stay like that then with our first activity sunset valley trekking which was an amazing view point where the whole group found our inner peace, had our best view of sakleshpur. Coming back to the place freshened up and had a small karaoke session which was provided by the streamedge with beautiful collection of songs where ends our first day with lot of good memories.

Early start of our second day trekking for the sun raise which is another beautiful spot suggested by them was a double dose of nature. Came back from the trek and had the best breakfast with neer dosa, juicy chicken with gravy and hey ppl don t think only non veg was good even the veg dal curry was amazing. After 1/2 an hour rest we started with the adventure sports first was rope crossing followed by zip line continues to mud valley ball ends with rain dance, sacred with amazing experience.

Great weekend at Streamedge.. It was my first visit to Sakleshpur, very much like Coorg. One of my colleague referred us here and need go really thank her. There is so much to do ( stream walk, zipline, cycling, archery, dart, carrom, cycling, badminton, volleyball in slush, trekking, bonfire, karaoke and the yummy food ). Bharat and team took care of us really well. Wish we could have come in monsoon to see all those gorgerous paddy field in its full glory. Definitely we are coming again during rains.

Nice place to spend leisure time. Beautiful & natural stream, activities around it and green surround is peaceful!
Quite a places to explore & small trek too. Children can enjoy activities. They have rightly placed cycles to take around.

This homestay is located in a very scenic place. Rooms were clean. Food was awesome. The places where they took us for trekking are very nice. Heard that the place was flooded few days before we visited. I should really appreciate the effort taken by the management in cleaning the place. Although a bit far away, the homestay has a nice ambience and a good variety of sports activities which include indoor games like carrom, chess, TT and outdoor activities like badminton, mud volleyball, zipline. Food was pretty good but some dishes could have been better. Overall worth the experience.

Resort is very well maintained and located in nice place. We had a grate time together.

We had a Overnight Corporate Team outing here. Like the name suggests, the place is developed next to a stream.
The rooms are perfectly placed next to the running stream, adding to a great view. In addition to this, they have activities like Stream Crossing, Zip Line, Mud Vollyball and Rain Dance. All these activities are great fun and worth doing. Apart from these, they have various selection of Indoor games too! Also, included in the package are 2 Breathtaking trecks and a visit to a nearby waterfall, along with a guide provided by them. We had a great time here and was perfect for an Overnight stay amidst nature. The food is very sumptuous and tasty. They have a small buffet kind of a set up for each meal, along with small bites for high tea. Rajesh (Raju) acted as our guide and person of contact here and was extremely helpful and welcoming. Mrs. Sindhu, the owner of this place was constantly in touch with us throughout our stay and made sure everything was functioning smoothly and as per expectation.
Overall, we had a very satisfying and wonderful stay here.
I will definitely be going back here again.

We (couple) had been there for 2days & 1 night. Perfect place for relaxing. Enjoyed a lot in zip line, rope walk, trucking & many more activities. Highlight of the homestay is the river which flows just behind the property & beautiful birds songs early morning. Homestay staffs were also very friendly & it actually made us to feel that we are staying at our own home. Food quality & taste was awesome, especially uppma was yummy.....thanks Krishna (cook).

Our itinerary -
We were on a family trip, returning from an Udupi visit via Sakleshpur and booked this place. We had to travel from evening to night to reach here and requested for a late check-in and a late check-out. Sindhu (the owner) was accommodative on this aspect which is a special gesture. We stayed here the night of 28th Feb and checked out on March 1st, 2021

Facilities -
- There are enough activities to keep busy (rope walk, zip-line, campfire, mud-volleyball, trampoline, indoor games (I played mini-golf and foosball a lot) and everything else that was advertised).

- The highlight of this resort, is the clean fresh water stream right next to the cabins/rooms.

- You can sit and play in the water of the stream.

- The staff takes you on a morning and evening short treks as well.

About the owners -
- First impressions make a definitive impact. The way Sindhu spoke the first time drives home the point.
- She was very quick, clear, confident, concise and very informative about all the amenities of the resort.
- She gave information about the local sight-seeing spots (Hanbal falls, Pandavarabetta trek) as well.
- It was good talking to Sindhu's husband who was at the location. He made sure our difficulties were resolved (we had a flat tire scenario).
- At one point it felt like a homestay with a resort experience.

Meals -
- Every dish was par excellent, and they have a good variety of food.
- We had dinner, breakfast and lunch.

- A bunch of weary travellers that we were (with a flat tire on the way), though we reached late, the staff made sure food was made available.

- I was expecting some local malenadu fare, but that is absolutely not a low point. We should have probably requested this in advance.

Staff -
- The staff was extremely helpful, can't thank them enough.

- We had not one, but two flat tires, and they arranged for a mechanic to take the tires, got it repaired and brought it back to the resort.

- They took us to the Pandavarabetta trek, which also has the Bettada Byraveshwara temple, which is deemed to be several centuries old.

- We did not have time for the sunset trek, but they do take you there as well. All of this without us having to lose any time on the resort experience and activities.

- The nearest repair center is at the village of Hanbal, that is about 10km.

- They offered a glass of milk and biscuits for my daughter when she was a little
cranky which I felt was very kind.

The environment -
- The rooms were well sanitized and very clean.
- The gardens are well maintained.
- The activity and indoor sport equipment were in good condition.
- The food area was clean.
- I saw a few snails in the bathroom, but it could be a common sighting in the area.

The roads -
- The roads between Hassan and Sakleshpur is not good.
- The hill roads also have a lot of potholes, so make sure you have a reliable stepney.
- A tire pressure machine and a tire repair kit might be good to have.

Summary -
All the pics of this place that you see online, are true to reality and the place is really awesome. I would recommend you to have a stay there.

Such a wonderful homestay in such a beautiful place. The surrounding of this place is really beautiful and its upto the expectation on the place which you are visiting. They provide veg and non veg food along with snacks as well.You will never have a complain in food section. This place gives a feeling of home and due to being in a remote area you will enjoy the serenity. When you go in a group the best part is various activities which you can enjoy. Do visit once and trust me you will not regret.

We have booked Stream Edge Homestay for one day which was easily approachable by google map and property size is too huge. The rooms were very clean and decorated and the food was awesome. As my kid was not very well and was not eating anything, we were searching for his favourite fruit papaya in the nearby markets but failed to get one. The hosts (Sindhu and her husband) were so helpful and they got it arranged for us late at night for my kid. The bonfire and karaoke night was very refreshing and entertaining and the snacks were provided quickly on demand. There are lot more activities provided in the homestay which was more than the worth and properly maintained. One of the best homestays in Sakleshpur! :)

From the first day Mrs Sindhu and her husband were very hospitable to us. They looked into every small request and along with their team of srenivasan and Rajesh took care of us so well. The cottages were very comfortable. The food was very homely and no complaints. We also took our dog who had the time of his life. So a very pet friendly resort.
There are no cons except for maybe the massage (again this is not directly associated with the management so can't blame them as it is done by a person from outside). Would not recommend this.
But other than that it is a fantastic place that really has our thumbs up.
They have no hidden charges btw. Everything is honest and upfront with no extra charges for the guide or bonfires.
All in all a great experience for our family

Visited this HomeStay in Feb2020, nice location next to a beautiful small river and various indoor & outdoor activities. You will find estates/mini forests around and with a nice garden.
Courteous staff and clean accommodation with all basic facilities.
They prepare yummy food that u chose - don't miss the kheer, loved it. For a price of 2.5k per person, this is worth every penny.

Being to this place was like making a perfect memory for a lifetime , we were group of colleagues with there families which included kids ,since we were upto 40 people StreamEdge entirely hosted only our group and it was very privet and customised for us, The week before we planned to visit the climate was extreme with heavy rain and flooding water levels but fortunately the day before our visit all came back to normal with perfectly suitable climate small drizzles and fog , thanks to Sindu for giving live climate updates .

We started our journey in early morning hours from Bangalore and reached StreamEdge by 1pm and were warmly welcomed by Bharat and after a quick fresh-up, yummy lunch was readily waiting for us and the food was amazing as described . After lunch we checked out the most awaited STREAM which is just next to the StreamEdge , and it was unbelievable to see such a perfect and well maintained natural running water source which was like 3-5ft and a grate place to play and relax , this stream is the highlight and anyone who loves water should have to be forced to come out of it ;P

Later with grate excitement we moved in to the Slush volley ball place , since we had made teams and self organised a tournament we conducted it and enjoyed the slushy mud court with drizzling weather , this was followed by a rain dance setup with music where we just unwind and danced till we were tired .

The night continued with Karaoke , dinner and campfire with dance , Thanks to Shanoj who pepped up our group with grate music and some disco lights setup

The next morning at 7am we got up with a great coffee and headed to Pandavara gudda with our local guid Mr Dilip ,This was an amazing peak with small drizzles and dense fog and filled with greenery , we returned at around 10am and the Delicious breakfast was waiting and after that as you can guess we jumped back to the STREAM and enjoyed

I would like everyone reading my review to know that Sindu , Bharat and Shanoj where the grate hosts and made us comfortable in every possible way , they gave us freedom of completely customising the food and stay options , the other staff were also very cooperative and all these points made our stay very overwhelming , we would like to visit StreamEdge again because of all these comforts

Awsmm place to stay full green. Staff's are very friendly and helpful they treat you as thr friend, nice food, best part is small river channel in resort many option for outdoor games, always recommend one of the best place to stay in sakleshpur.

Awesome place...very friendly and caring staff and a very good food...the guide took us to some of the must see places at sakleshpura..the indoor activities were very enjoyable...playing in the stream water was soo refreshing...
And must mention about the dog Kalu which is soo friendly..and was like a escort to us whereever we went inside the resort.my kids became so fond of it that it was very difficult for them to part from it during our checkout time .
Overall a very good and pleasant stay.

This Place well outside busy city noise ,we can hear sweet voice of birds chirping ,early morning sun rise at a close by peak was majestic beautiful peacock on the way ,a lot of adventure activities they provide was quite fun especially when in group , campfire at night was comforting in the shivering cold. Less network so less technology and as they don't provide Tv at room it's good experience to get know and send time with loved ones. Even for solo guys take a good book along it will be worth while

Hospitality services is very good. We had an nice fun at streamedge homestay. Food was good. Thanks for Sindhu and sanooj, who treated us very well.

Kindly recreate Fire Camp place with Chimeny kind structure so that smoke moves out.

Streamedge is peaceful as it is far from the city, good place for indoor and outdoor activities.
Courteous staff. Rooms are clean.

Pandavara betta and abbi falls are close by. And very less explored places are suggested by the staff.

Food was good. Tastes like home made food. Not the same menu everyday.

Campfire with speakers were provided for all the guests separately.

Network connectivity is poor. Only airtel and jio network is available.

It was really good to spend time over there peacefully away from city side.Food also was tastey.Best place to enjoy with team.Serving and peoples were also good.

We had a pleasant stay. The staffs are polite and accommodative. At this time not much water in stream. Will definitely visit post monsoon this year.
