I love coffee (make espresso drinks daily) and although I think their roasted beans are quite good, today for the first time I bought a cafe latte (for a whopping $6) and was very underwhelmed. The milk aspect was tasty but there was very little coffee flavor, which resulted in a weak tasting latte. So it may be better to order an espresso or macchiato here, rather than a cafe latte. I think that the milk drinks are vastly superior at numerous other places, including Espresso Vivace, Herkimer, Victrola, Broadcast Coffee, etc.

Good coffee. Cool environment. Coffee roasted in house. Just wish they had more sweetener options, just raw sugar and honey. Oh yeah the coffee shop is up stairs and there's no obvious ada access so there is that.

So far so good! Just got the coffee beans today. It was roasted on the 14th of May so it is 2 DAYS OLD. Normally we do not grind them for about a week after roasting so will have to wait, but the aroma from the beans is great. Can't wait to try them. Thanks very much for the prompt service.

I do not know why so many stars from so many people. I live and often go to Storyville, and there are 2 consistent things. The condescending, I am doing you a favor by helping you the $14 for half pound of coffee beans. One guy wanted me to buy a 2 week old roast when he had a fresh batch right behind him. It is not for sale he claimed, asked him why would I pay $14 for half pound of 2 weeks old coffee he got upset and wished me a good day. The roast is good the service and employees are consistently apathetic and condescending.

The best place for coffee... period. I've been a regular customer to the roastery location on Bainbridge Island since 2016, and I can't get over how amazing the espresso, food, and people are. Every staff member wants you to have a wonderful time and a great cup of their espresso made with love (looking at you, Nick!). It is consistently wonderful, clean, warm and inviting. Plus, it's just really cool to watch them roast on weekdays. If you're there at the right time, they bring around free warm chocolate cake - just because. I can't recommend this place enough to friends, residents, or visitors looking to relax with a perfect cup.

Great place to relax and have a cup of joe... or an americano. Tasty treats - don't be surprised if a server shows up next to you offering a free slice of cake or pastry to try.
Good free internet & table games too.

Delicious coffee, and a great place to meet. The building is open and airy, and has plenty of nooks and corners to sit. The breakfast sandwiches are also delicious. I'm glad that they are open early enough to grab a coffee on the way to catching a ferry!

Storyville from Seattle is an artisan coffee company that I highly recommend. On their website they bill themselves as America s # roaster and their mission of ending human trafficking and to Love Everybody is one I can definitely support. When I made my order it was promptly packed and shipped off. I like the style of their packaging, especially the fact that my beans were literally roasted just 2 days before I ordered them. Upon grinding them and brewing my coffee I was treated to an aroma that was notably more pleasing than the competition. Their customer service is also top notch. If you are a coffee connoisseur, I think you won t be disappointed if you give them a try.

The people here just may be the friendliest on the planet. You can tell they genuinely love what they do. Good coffee, delicious breakfast sandwich with thick bacon and pesto goat cheese on a pretzel bun, relaxing atmosphere and super cool story. A must visit when you re in Bainbridge.

This is Storyville s homebase shop and roasting room, and it s totally worth the drive just to see it! The lofted shop sits in the middle so you can peer over and watch them roast and bake everything. Pro-tip: if you re here during cake time, they give a free slice to everyone inside! The baristas are friendly and make coffee approachable to newbies. You can expect a moderately busy shop, with about 20 seats. I always get an iced americano or cortado, and you should definitely try one of their in-house baked pastries.

I LOVE the coffee here - They make the extremely smooth and delicious latte's and Mochas. You can't go wrong with their breakfast sandwich either - Probably the most delicious breakfast sandwich ever!

Remote Worker Critique - They have space to work as, but not many power outlets, the music is often loud, and since they close at 4 you can't get a full day of work in at this spot.

I have had storyville coffee at the Pike Place location before and enjoyed it, but this location really didn't hit the spot for me. I tasted both of the housemade alternative milks, date-sweetened almond and coconut-hemp, and both were really bad. The almond would have been fine without the date, but it really ruined the taste of the coffee. Coconut milk should never be used in coffee in my opinion, because the flavor also really messes with the coffee flavor. For a specialty coffee company I hoped for better.
This being said, the service here was great, which deserves them a couple of stars. Maybe go here if you don't need alternative milk?

Wonderful coffee and the best chai latte I've ever had. Very friendly staff and a fun cozy atmosphere. Love that they have a mission to help stop human trafficking. One of my all time favorite coffee shops.

Great cappuccino, great pastries, and the best yogurt+granola I've had in ages. Sensuous, melt-in-your-mouth yogurt. You'll pay a bit more for your morning treat, but the first time you come, you'll get a (very nice) free mug to offset the cost...and after that you'll be hooked!

Espresso is of fine quality and even more remarkable are the skills of highly trained baristas. They carefully ensure everything from the detail of the grind all the way through extraction so that you enjoy a superb espresso unlike anything else.

Pastries and breakfast sandwiches are unique and incredibly flavorful, baked fresh every few minutes ensuring you get the very best experience possible. Breakfast sandwiches are made to order hot and fresh.

You won't find drip coffee waiting in thermos containers here. This is mainly an espresso bar. If you want regular coffee they will brew you a small or large pot via French press. For just a single cup they will make an Americano that is unbelievably good. They will patientlyntake good care of you, not plow you through line like others. They will explain what they do and ask what you like.

Experience it for yourself...

Really good coffee, but beware of tour buses of people coming to look at how they make their coffee beans! Also on the pricier side, but I'm willing to pay for a good Americano and a croissant that is flaky.

Nice, fresh roasted well-crafted coffee. There is a lot of attention to modern details, clean - almost too clean, mostly 'cause it's relatively new. The staff is very welcoming there are plenty of comfy spots to plunk down.

The coffee from Storeyville is excellent, even in k-cup form (seriously, if you need fast single-serve coffee at home, Storeyville's coffee will make it difficult to go back to anything else). Highly recommended.

This place makes it easy to hate. Dark, trendy and white. Doesn't love the elderly or disabled, no elevator, but one long staircase. Really? In a modern building. Prices are high too, a small latte and plain croissant will cost you $9.

Wow! You would never know that tucked away in a (really sweet) business park on Bainbridge Island is a treasure. Fresh coffee and espresso served inside a stunning roasting studio that looks and feels like a museum. They roast fresh coffee every week and mail it to your home. Thursday is now my favorite day of the week.

If you appreciate great coffee, well pulled shots, thoughtful design, and baked fresh daily pastries that would make a grown man hit his daddy...

The worst! The ham and cheese croissant was cold and hard, we only got one when we ordered two. When we mentioned this the kitchen girl shrugged and basically said too bad. My wife said she has had better cups of coffee at gas stations and the kids said their hot chocolates were just warmish milk.
Never going here again!

I thought Mukilteo Coffee was the best in Puget Sound. Don't get me wrong, I still love them - but Storyville has edged them out. You can literally smell the coffee through the box when it arrives. It's just perfection.

Found a gift card for $5.00 off a $13.00 bag of Esther Mae's designer granola from this location's grand opening two years ago, no expiration date. Tracked the place down, and though the gal at the counter was very pleasant, they decided not to honor the voucher. In situations like this can't is simply another word for won't.

Been drinking this coffee ever since the day the shop opened on 1st and Madison (bribing us with free cookies and coffee each morning worked!) and still haven't found anything better. From the smell of opening a fresh bag to watching the coffee 'bloom' in my pot in the morning, I love this coffee! Some of the nicest baristas and customer support teams around too :)

Today was the first time my family went into Storyville. There was a man downstairs packing up coffee that seemed real crabby and he s the first person you see when you walk in. We smiled at him and he just stared at us and didn t say a word. The baristas upstairs were really nice and the coffee was excellent
But the man downstairs did NOT make us feel welcome. Walked by him again before we left to see if maybe he would be more upbeat and nope. Same grumpy stare.

Best coffee on the island hands down. Their baristas are excellent, consistently pulling perfect shots. If it's not perfect, they'll insist on remaking it without being asked.

The beans they sell are some of the freshest you'll find. Especially if you have a decent espresso machine at home, you'll immediately tell a difference with these beans.
