Stop & Shop Supermarkets Review

They are doing pretty well at staying stocked. I wish they had a bit more variety of spices though.

Store is clean and well stocked. Price wise it's fare. Good meat but just. OK produce.

Pretty good store layout. Well stocked. Outrageously high prices compared to Market Basket. I use it like a convenience store for select items only.

The new seafood restaurant in the store makes the entire building stink of fried food. Leaving the store after 20 minutes of shopping made my business cloths smell like I was a line chef.

Nice stop and shop. Good prices. Great salad bar. Bakery very fresh. Dunking donuts inside so very convenient.

Great variety of products including organics and internationals. People are nice and always willing to help if you need them. I go every week and have never experienced anything negative. Prices are fairly good and if you have their card you can get some discounts as well.

The store was large and the things weren't hard to find. They also had great costumer service! Would come again! :)

Conveniently located, well stocked, still provides a very wide choice of items.

There was little room to navigate a cart due to end-of-aisle displays. Despite coming early on a Sunday, it was crowded and sale items were already running low. Sale prices were not accurately marked - chicken breasts were $1.69 in the ad and on the package, but the display sale price was over $2. We'll stick with our local Star Market.

I stand with the workers in their strike, went to this location to meet up with a family member who had some items for my newborn. One the entrance we came in the workers on strike were friendly, we parked near them to let them know we were not going inside. As we left on the opposite entrance where we left a group of strikers started yelling we are horrible people and should be ashamed, even after telling them we did not step foot into the store.

Entitled whiney brats are the ones making the strike look bad. Have some common decency and respect for others in the human race why dont you?

Still a good store also was clean & can find things relatively easy.

I went to the deli to order five items and I waited a over half an hour for the associate to be finished with my order. The both of them in the deli were moving incredibly slow.

A great place to shop grocery, generously helping employees.

This place sucks on a level I didn't think possible for a grocery store. They're routinely out of normal produce like peppers and asparagus. No sign of other common items on normal shopping lists. Staff bumps into you without acknowledging it. Their self checkout lines don't even have working scales so you have to check out twice by going to the other line. Complete turd of a grocery store, avoid this place even if it means going to the Somerville Market Basket where there's a population density greater than New York City.

Pretty good. They had most of the things I needed. Doing self checkout there is less annoying than some other places. The machine doesn't get mad if you bag your groceries as you scan them. The way the juice is all at the far end of the store always trips me up.

This store is pretty clean and neat the people here are pretty helpful and nice, but i went to the seafood department for wild salmon and they guy came out and i asked for salmon the guy who was working there he didn't seem to friendly didn't even say can i help you he seemed to the point where he was kind of rude after he gave me my salmon i said have a good night he didn't even say nothing which i thought he was pretty snoby.

They are the worst. I was a loyal 15 year customer but no more. They are deliberately not restocking their shelves. They will give many excuses for not having food but it is all a lie. I spoke with many members of the stop and shop team and they secretly confided that the management was cutting their stock orders in half and not wanting to restock should they get shut down. So where does that leave us? S*** out of luck and they don t care.
GO TO MARKET BASKET!!!! They have everything! They obviously care more about the customer than profits.

It's my go to grocery store. One thing I wish there were more of is halal meat, such as beef.

Over priced and under staffed. I only come here when other places are closed. This place it clean and has good hours... That's it. Finding someone to help us hard. So few check out lanes are open but there is a lot self check out lanes. All that money they save on not-self check out lanes is not going to other staff to help customers and not lowering the prices. It's really a model of what grocery shopping should not be like. But like I said, it is clean.

Has everything I need. 1 time shopping stop. Plenty of parking.

Easy place to shop . The place not fully stocked early afternoon during the week.

Bags broke when I got to my car single bag was to full and only one lane open

Stop and Shops grocery scanners are the best around! I love being able to just scan and bag all my groceries as I go along. Really makes checkout go much faster.

For the most part, I like Stop and Shop. I think they have a pretty decent selection and prices are OK.

My only 2 gripes are the number of times all the produce scales are down or only one is working. And secondly, the damn people who are in the scanner self checkout line and not using the self scanner. I like the speed of checkout and these people are just annoying. Be nice to have to use your scanner to activate these stations.

Staff/employees at the Somerville store have always been helpful.

Mediocre store for Stop & Shop but nothing really wrong and a super convenient location It's even more convenient than it seems at first... you'll see.

I don't shop at Stop & Shop very often because I find it to be overpriced and usually not worth it. That being said, I will shop here occasionally when I can't find a specific food item at my regular grocery store. It is close to my house, and has a pretty good variety. They recently changed their self checkouts to be more open and useable for smaller shopping trips, but I think it may become more difficult for people doing a big shopping trip. And I imagine the flow of it will be pretty terrible during the holidays because there are nolonger seperate lines for the self checkout.

This is one of the better locations that are in the suburbs in and around Medford, Malden, Somerville area.

It was very busy and they didn't let me check out bananas in the express line. Go figure????

Until Wegmans came along, this Stop & Shop was my grocery store of choice. It's still an excellent place to get groceries.

Good selection of everything. Recently expanded to a great selection of hot peppers!

Unusually large selection, even for a supermarket. Very fresh produce. Woman at self- checkout area was very helpful.

I always go here always in n out never stuck in a line and no one really see's em but there are 2 isles after the self check section that are also self check these two lanes are n have been open 95% of the time

Great local one stop grocery store, with even a dunkin on site! The prices are always better then other grocery stores in the area, and the sales on produce that they run are always very good, like peppers and broccoli. The deli line is always very long and sometimes they only have one person working, if you get there early on the weekends this isn t a problem. One nice plus is the gas rewards and very easy to use app for coupons.

No plastic bags...just paper or buy their reusable bags

I recomend you to visit stop&shop has all kind of food you need and also has a good low price so you can save in each dollar you spent

Whoever gave this place a 4 or 5 is either crazy, brain dead, or a psychopath. This place is horrible. There, I said it. Produce wilts after two days. Flowers wilt after one day. I hate it.
