It was a fun day but a lot of the activities/areas probably werent ideal for under 3's yet you have to pay for any child over 2 so not convinced it was worth the entrance fee for us.

I imagine it will be great on dark evenings in the enchanted forest, will likely revisit towards the end of the year

Review of the fright night Farmhouse. Halloween event which has really gone down hill. Last year it was fantastic with features and actors in the maze and other areas of the park. This year just one feature which was the farmhouse. Queued for over an hour ...not as good as last year didn't make me jump as much ...no strobes. ..not that scary really actors just making loud bangs. .disappointed. will be going to Hallowscream at York maze next year

Nice park for kids with good picnic area for families.
Best part of the park is the enchanted forest which I recommend to visit first place.Down side is that can be too crowded which is not ideal in current circumstances.
The lake side is closed .
Don't miss the maize

Good fun for kids. Cafe food is okay but very highly priced for what they offer. Hot chocolate was great. Be prepared to spend time and money. We went over a weekend and enjoyed the maze and enchanted forest the best. Ice rink was very crowded. On a positive note car park was free.

The haunted escape house was so fun. Really creative set up rather than a bunch of quizzes like some I've been to. Just your team in the house too which it makes it feel more special, spooky and safe.

Fabulous day out with my 5 year old daughter! You can see the staff are very actively promoting health and safety in all areas and regular cleaning of the play areas was visible. But apart from that, it was great fun and a lovely piece of normal for the kids!! Well done Stockeld and keep up the good work!

Really enjoyable visit the only let down was the ice skating the boots were terrible, so much so my group did a single lap and came out, the cross country skiing looks hard work so we avoided that but visit after dark and be absorbed into a truly wonderful experience

Thought we would give it a try, and were not disappointed. Although the park is not fully open, it is reassuringly very well managed by limiting the influx of visitor's along with excellent signage and clean down regimes. The staff were all extremely helpful and very well organised, which created a safe environment in a wide open park. Our 5 Yr old grandson had a brilliant time here and we will definitely be returning. A great example of how a post lock down day out should be done. Brilliant!

I ve got to say the staff here are the best I have witnessed during the whole covid episode. Better than the staff at my local pub, supermarket, gym, and Alton Towers. To the girls who were constantly emptying the bins in the background, we noticed you and appreciated it. One of the very few places to actually put a social distancing procedure in place and have the staff to ensure it is adhered to in the most friendly possible way. Everything was cleaned after each use. Enough sanitising stations for the whole county. While ensuring that everyone felt relaxed and had fun. Couldn t find a fault. You should be very proud of the staff you have there.

A family member bought us a family visit for just after Xmas. We hadn't been before and the website have us a great impression. The website didn't really do it justice. The park is clearly marked out and we'll organised all the staff we dealt with where immensely helpful and friendly. The toilet facilities were clean and tidy and the food was outstanding ( especially the spiced butternut soup) the various play parks around the site were lovely and even our 2 year old could access something on each section (do he was happy) the evening illuminations were great and kids got so much out it. Fantastic family day, we will certainly be back in future!

A great place for kids to have fun. All activities have a certain old school feel; adventure playgrounds, inflatables, peddle go-carts - no interactive screens here! Staff are friendly and approachable. One minor complaint is a lack of seating.

Good quality attractions and staff, and suitable for small children. However, expensive entrance and object to being charged 'peak season' rate in late Oct. Many attractions already closed (carts, inflatables, etc). Only about 4-5 hours of entertainment.

On a slightly wet day, the heat was not as taxing. The group of children had much fun with attempts at skating, go-karting, getting lost and found in the maze and even the Enchanted Forest proved fun for the parents.

We had an absolutely fantastic afternoon into the early evening here. The park is very clean and tidy. Lots to keep the little ones busy. Our little girl was fast asleep before we'd even got back out on to the road when we left - she'd had that much fun! The Enchanted forest is super magical for the kids. Definitely worth a visit. Hoping to return for the Halloween event as it's our little girl's birthday then too. We saved the enchanted forest until last as that's best appreciated when it's dark. Restaurant is also reasonably priced and the gift shop prices are fantastic!

Amazing christmas experience, do yourselves a favour & buy tickets online (really good saving) & get the ones that allow you to do everything. We arrived for 10-30am & left at 6pm. An utterly full day, staff were very nice, the ONLY negative were the queues for any type of refreshments from lunch to a cup of tea, it was shocking. There was a spectacular brass band playing christmas carols in the square, our party all enjoyed it!!

On arrival we learnt that the maze was closed due to preparation for the following night. This is understandable however they should have advertised this, possibly online?
Enjoyed the enchanted forest, the lights where brilliant although no actors in sight! Other than that was a really lovely evening, family ticket reasonably priced.

The Halloween Adventurer for kids was terrible! If...

The Halloween Adventurer for kids was terrible! If any other day, id give 4-5 stars. No effort made at all. The only thing they did differently was put some spiders in the maze. And the scooby gang was there (minus Scooby). No actors in the enchanted forest, no face painters, no pumpkin carving, no halloween themed rides, no fancy dress competition. The spell school wasnt on (Why not, 2 days into the event??)- and if it was, it would be extra. To advertise this as an Halloween adventure is misleading.

Edit: Maybe i was harsh- As i cant reply to the reply below. The cafe was the best bit. But after going to mother shiptons cave and york maze, the kids version seemed effortless. Decorations at the gate/cafe but nowhere else. If you made as much effort for the kids as frightnight, then it would have been great. Get some actors, face painters, change the lights in the forest to orange, purple, add creepy music, scarecrows (different masks etc), gravestones, within the existing forest decorations. And also, dont advertise dates when not all the things are on. We would have come another date if we knew.

Edit2: Changed from 1 to 3 stars. Fright night (The adult version) was awesome. A very unique experience. They definitely made the effort for this. Buried alive, Bag over your head in captive. And Micheal Myers chasing you in a maze.

It was a fun day out for all the family. The kids really liked it. The Maze is amazing and the walk around the enchanted garden is so much fun.

The 1 hour 40 minutes drive from Newcastle is really worth it.

Will definitely visit again.

Great day out at Stockeld Adventure Park. We went with teenage girls and they loved the Maze and the Enchanted Forest where there are lots of climbing activities to do.
Roller skating, bouncy play parks and go carts are included in the entrance fee; boats on the Mermaid lake and the Laser Adventure are extra.
Jesse gave us good instructions on how to go round the Park. Staff all friendly. HR.

Fantastic place for little climbers!! We went with our five children, aged 4-15. They all enjoyed parts of it! Weather was lovely. All covid-19 measures were brilliant, there were hand sanitising stations everywhere!! Staff were lovely. Pizzas are great. Would definitely recommend.
