My experience at the Cardiac Clinic yesterday was very good.. I was met throughout the morning testing by ladies who were kind, explained to me at length what was happening, and showed concern for my comfort. After having stress tests of my heart I left feeling calm and reassured. I thank them for their care.

I underwent a angiogram procedure last week by Dr.. Poludasu. He is a skilled and caring physician. All of his staff and the nurses and all hospital personnel were very friendly and helpful. We are so fortunate for the medical people and facilities we have here in Stillwater.

I need to add, the breakfast I was served was great. Need to find out what the brand of turkey bacon I was served.

My sister went there with a crushed leg and needed surgery after she was ran over they gave her pain pills and told her they couldn't help her without a referral from her primary care. Her leg is 5 times the size of normal swollen bone and and blood vessels crushed and there answer was go somewhere else here's some pain pills?????? They should be jailed for that. I hope the people on staff go to prison they should have there medical lisence revoked she may lose her leg because of there piss poor service.

I was recently a patient in the ER, and I was very pleased with the compassionate care I received. They took the time to listen to my medical problems. The medical staff collaboratively treated and created a plan of care specifically for me. I would definitely recommend this hospital to my friends and family.

I have always had excellent care during my many visits to Stillwater Medical Center. The staff is very skilled, caring and attentive. I have also accompanied my elderly father to SMC on many occasions and he has always had a great experience there. Emergency Department, cardiology care, surgery, and ICU---no complaints! Lucky to have such a fine facility here in Stillwater.

Dr. Lauvetz needs to be fired! Horrible service! The receptionist was rude and refused to tell me what is was going to cost and when I pressed she said she was unable to tell me what determines what they charge. Dr. Lauvetz is the most arrogant moron I have ever met, he was aggressive towards me for having the audacity to ask what the cost were, and he was condescending about the skill and professionalism of Stillwater Family Care and Touchstone Medical Imaging, "Anyone outside of SMC is sub-par!" Another great quite was, "I am the best doctor you will ever see!" I regret to inform him that medicine involves people and if you can't get over yourself for long enough to help people you need to move to another branch of city employment, I recommend sanitation! His final words were, "if you agree to not come back, I won't even charge you! You have 10 seconds to decide!" In informed him pressured decisions about medical care didn't seem like a good idea. Then they refused to give me back my disc that I had to go and pay Touchstone for because he is too lazy to go to the effor to look at their "sub par" work through their system! Save yourself the hassle and go to Cushing!

I have found Stillwater Medical Center to be staffed with caring providers who are experts in their field. Every encounter has been warm, friendly, professional, and trust-engendering. I highly recommend Sarah Trost APRN, Dr. Stephen Cummings, and the staff in the lab and ultrasound areas. They are the best!

My family has had several procedures at SMC, and i couldn't be more grateful that we have a place like this in our community. It's so amazing to have a care team that really does actually CARE. From the moment you walk in, from registration to discharge, you can be sure your best interests are in their hearts.

I delivered my son there February of this year and the labor and delivery nurses are absolutely amazing! Each nurse that I encountered was very informative, helpful and pleasant. Although I was not the only person on the L&D floor, they made me feel as if I was. My DR made several visits in to see me even during clinic hours, and took the time to talk to me without him acting rushed. My DR and L&D nurses kept in communication throughout my whole stay. He was even there to deliver him later that night. The on call pediatrician we chose to be our sons primary Dr is also amazing.
Overall we are very satisfied with SMC and its staff. This is the kind of experience women allover need to have while delivering their babies.

The nurses were great! The doctor was horrible. My husband sees a pain specialist and a brain & spinal surgeons due to a spinal condition he has. He's on a medication that causes tremors. We went in because he was having leg and arm tremors for almost 3 hours. At the end of it they gave him a muscel relaxer and told him basically that the tremors we're all in his head and there was no way any medical condition or problem would cause the tremors. Oh but they kept asking him if he has restless leg syndrome? I guess that's all in people's heads too? What a joke! This place is horrible. Especially when my husband's specialist advised him that if anything out of the ordinary happened to go to the nearest ER because of his condition

My college age daughter made the mistake of going to this place. The Dr. ordered a $1000 worth of unnecessary bloodwork including a glucose test even though she hadn't fasted. They then tell her she's probably prediabetic? Which of course she wasn't. We hadn't even received the bill before they started calling and trying to get us to set up a payment plan. I have paid everytime I have received the bill, which is sporadic. The calls are continous and borderline HARASSMENT! Beware!

I am very unhappy with the thought that our medical services are now a monopoly. Doctors are on salary, get bonuses if they recommend special

Their method of billing is very poor. I have very good insurance and most things are covered. My son had cancer and these are the only people that somehow didn't get paid, and was all because of their sloppy method of billing. Four years ago they threatened to ruin my credit, so we paid all their questionable bills, now I get a bill from a collection agency that I have more to pay. Must be nice to run a business this way. Need money to send the kids on spring break-- make up a bill and send it out. I will never go to Stillwater Hospital again for anything. Too much hassle. In my opinion the care is average.

I had a mammogram few weeks ago and I was really nervous and scared. Erin if I can remember her name right was very helpful, kind and went above and beyond. She walked me to the main building for my ultrasound and got me checked in. The same thing happened with my ultrasound. I can t remember her name because I was really nervous that time but she is really kind and helpful. The Radiology Doctor that came in to tell me the good news is amazing. I can t thank SMC enough for the good service I received that day.

SMC took excellent care of my daughter as she had an emergency appendectomy. The ED staff, nurses and physician had excellent customer service. They were conservative with testing and thorough with explaining the diagnosis and procedures. All nurses were friendly and personable. Dr. Pence explained everything in terms I could understand using pictures and documentation to review at home. The timeline for the procedure and follow up visit were spot on.

Absolute worst medical care I ve ever seen. They will utterly ignore very dire situations, I ve seen this on multiple occasions both with myself and friends. The staff is unprofessional and has no compassion and they will mock you to your face when you are in pain. If you have a very serious issue, a potentially life threatening issue, you are 100x better off trying to make the drive to the city. I know people who have done this simply because asking Stillwater Medical to handle a stroke or something of the nature is signing your own death notice. If you have anything more than a cough your ass better drive to the city.
We ve also been sent to collections for bills that we have proof of payment. One office tells us they show it s paid and we have receipts that we have paid them, they have not sent us any other bill information but they ve sent collections after us and when we call to ask why or what the bill is for, they refuse to speak to us.

I had a routine blood work up that resulted in a expensive bill even after insurance. I have never paid more than $100 out of pocket for blood work, but at this facility it cost me $800!! After attempting to understand why they are so much higher than other facilities it resulted in no change in my bill. I started making monthly payments and made payments for several months. After loss of employment I called and notified the billing department and told them I would start making payments again ASAP. I thought by communicating with them I might catch a break. They immediately sent me to collections.

I had to get my gallbladder removed last Friday (3/23/18), unexpectedly. My experience with the doctors and nurses was great. Everyone was so nice.
I went to the ER Thursday evening because I was in so much pain. They ran labs on my blood and found out I had pancreatitis and had had gallbladder stones. The doctor told me I was tough because with elevated levels as high as I had he was surprised I was so calm. He contacted the surgeon and she felt I should be admitted for the night. I was so glad to get some pain meds and I was able to sleep a little better. The surgeon was great and the anesthesiologists were also great. Due to LAM (a rare lung disease that effects women only) and never hearing about the disease they got on the computers and did research about it. I gave them my LAM specialist in Dallas, TX information so if they wanted to contact him they could. Together with the surgeon they put a plan together to only inflate my abdomen as little as possible as not to put too much pressure on my lungs, because they could collapse, but also to allow the surgeon enough space to work.
I was able to help educate them about the disease and they didn t seem uneasy at all with doing it. I was very impressed with my surgery team! I came home less than 4 hours after my surgery. They had me in ICU to keep an eye on me to make sure I didn t have a collapse. I was up walking and the surgeon was surprised, and told me I could go home if I felt up to it.
I will have to say that God is good all the time.
I give Him the praise for helping make it through this ordeal.

I was in the Stillwater Medical Center hospital two times earlier this year, each for several days. I felt just awful but the doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, and nutritional staff took excellent care of me. Everyone had such a wonderfully, caring attitude. They each went above and beyond to make sure I was safe, comfortable and well fed with a specialty diet. I will never forget their kindness as I went through a trying and uncertain time. All my thanks!

The entire staff I dealt with on the day of my surgery were phenomenal!! They explained everything in detail so I could understand all aspects of the procedure. They listened to me and answered any and all questions very efficiently and made me feel at ease. Like always, they called the Monday following my surgery to check on my progress and answer any other questions I had. They provided me with contact information in the case of an emergency, follow-up procedure care/instructions, and recovery supplies. The experience/care as a whole was awesome!

I recently had my second child at Stillwater Medical Center. During both pregnancies I had to visit the hospital for many different reasons. Every individual I came into contact with, from the moment I walked in and out of the doors treated me with the up most respect. Wonderful staff and great experiences. Thank you SMC!

Oh boy. My girlfriend came here after she was bitten by a stray dog. Staff seemed bored. The main nurse who was seeing us kept pressuring her to give up the location of the dog because they were under protocol to call police. After a lot of pressure and uncomfortable awkward moments with the nurse finally we gave up the dogs whereabouts, the nurse called the police and they basically said they don t deal with that kind of thing. Ok... so then we get to the bite.
We remove the bandages we put on from home and a couple nurses take a look. They give her a tetanus shot and then ask us to leave. I asked he nurse if she could be kind enough to replace the bandages on my girlfriends leg because I guess they forgot(??). They gave us a prescription for Amoxicillin that we couldn t afford to buy. ($70) We were then charged with a $400 bill that came in the mail.
Her leg healed with dollar store antibiotic ointment and band aids. This hospital did nothing for us besides put us in debt. $400 for a single tetanus shot. Great. The health care system is BROKEN.

I had hip replacement surgery around mid December. My overall experience was wonderful. The surgery went well and I am progressing nicely.
The therapy instructors for the "pre" surgery class were all knowledgeable and encouraging. This process extended after the surgery too.
All the nurses (except for one nurse - she came to check on me about four hours after her shift started) and techs were extremely nice and helpful and interacted with all the patients with humor and compassion. I am extremely appreciative for what they did for me during what i consider "a major" surgery. Kudos to the team!! Keep up the good work.

Over charge, under deliver. That's the practice at this practice. Way over priced like any dr office. No one bothered to tell me that my insurance wouldnt cover anything so my hour in the office cost more than a full pay check. on top of that they don't send out scripts anywhere close to on time. First fill took them a week to finally send after I had to come in twice and request it. It was time for refill this month so the pharmacy sent a request and a week later they haven't responded. If its not illegal it should be to miss refilling a script on time sensitive medication. I'm going to start looking for a new dr, I can only hope you avoid this place after reading this.

My son was brought in with a throat bleed due to complications of a tonsillectomy. The ER staff was kind and beyond knowledgeable. From the ED Dr, Dr Williams, to the nurses. They came together to calm and care for not only my son but my family. This was on a Saturday night when it was already a bit crazy for them. They knew exactly what to do and how to do it. They had my son prepped and ready for surgery in no time. I am thankful for everyone, thier kindness and skills to help savey sons life.without them I would not be sitting here beside my son today. I would be mourning him and putting him in the ground. Thank you all for your dedication and hard work

I delivered my baby here after being induced in September 2017. Every single person we had contact with was pleasant, helpful, and considerate. Our labor nurse and OB were in communication throughout the entire day, even though my doctor still had his clinic appointments to keep. He still managed to check in on me in person several times and was there at 5:45 for the actual delivery. All of the follow up care that I and my son have received since that day has been of the same high caliber. All of our well child visits to his pediatrician have been reassuring (as a new parent, I needed plenty of reassurance in the beginning) and helpful. The SMC organization truly tries to go above and beyond to take excellent care of their patients.

I was admitted quickly all paperwork was prepared and ready for me on arrival. The pre-op nurse was organize and so very kind. The Surgery crew all introduced themselves to me and made sure I understood what they would be doing for me.
Dr Cara Pence is so very kind she and her PA are an amazing team.
My stay on 5 th floor was quiet restful and my comfort was a priority. Every team member came into to introduced themselves to me and everyone ask me are you hurting what is your pain level. I was given the opportunity to go home one day early and I choose to go home, not because I didn t feel I wasn t being taken care of. I just wanted to be in my home to recover. The Kate from PT and her cru were encouraging and straight forward with their instructions,
Thank you

Well this place really takes advantage of college kids coming into the ER on a football game day weekend when nothing else is open. My son had overall lack of energy and the Physician looked at his throat and said it looked like Mono but it actually was dehydration and not Mono. They ordered tons of lab tests when all they really needed to do is give fluids and send him on. Now they are trying to stick me with total charges of over $2600 which my actual out of pocket is almost $1600. This is robbery. They had better reduce my bill to a more reasonable amount.

Fastest check-in I have experienced anywhere. They were interested in treating me, not just my checkbook. Over the past two years I have had nothing but bad experiences with doctors and hospitals. The exception being Mercy Hospital in OKC. My appt was at 10:30 for an out patient procedure. At 10:15, Charles the exray professional, came to get me, Kay was the speech doctor that administered the test. I have had this swallow test 3 times now, attempting to find the reason I have problems swallowing without choking. Kay and Charles were awesome. They took the time to explain what was happening and why. My doctor got the report the day of the test. Everyone I encountered there was so professional, caring, and did everything they could to take care of me. I would recommend this hospital to anyone in need of medical care.

Well, I'm glad you asked. I went to the ER with classic symptoms of a kidney stone. Everyone was nice, but no ultra sound or CT scan our anything was done. Pain meds and sent home. 2 months later now, i go to my Dr. because symptoms are back and it's during office hours. First thing he says, i think it's a kidney stone, let's get a CT scan. 9mm! I wonder how much it grew in those months after the ER trip? Idk, but it's too big to pass now. Thousands of dollars for nothing but pain meds. GRRR
