Stewart Surfboards Review

Just ordered new board to replace one bought in 2004, which I'm still using. I stop in every time I pass by. Great staff great boards.

Great experience with young ladies at counter.
Been searching web and stories for ladies wetsuit. Walked in there it was 3/2, back zip, fullsuit size 4, bonus i could try it on!

They have a pretty good selection of short boards to rent, but not too many big soft tops. They do have quite a few boards to buy as well but it doesn't seem
Like longboards are their thing. Perfect for what I was looking for. They also have a decent selection of apparel but don't expect discounts, unless you are an odd size.

Thomas and Tom did an excellent job of helping me with my board. I live in Hawaii and I recieved it yesterday. The shipping and packaging is awesome. My board arrived with no problems what so ever. The packaging of the board is top notch, outstanding. The communication between us was great. The board is exactly what I wanted.

I love Stewart boards! I have three of them. My favorite is the Redline 11. The board is so fun in a variety of conditions. The fun shape is also a great way to size down from long board to short board. The Therapy has been a more difficult transition for me because it's my first short board but at the break I surf there's an ex-pro who surfs the Therapy and she looks so good on it. It's like watching art in motion. Beautiful.

Bought a 7' 949 fun board from Thomas. Took it out for 2 sessions. Love the shape, but noticed quite a few pressure dings after 2 sessions. Brought it in. Thomas was polite and understanding but basically said yeah it has pressure dings, Bill would tell you the same. You can put some track pad over it. So I explained that if this is a 10 ounce coat I don't understand pressure dings after 2 sessions. A 4 or 6 ounce performance board, yes, but not a 7' fun shape. I gave him a chance to make it right and explained I didn't want to write a critical review. So buyer beware, if you spend $900 on a sand coat board from this shop, understand you will have pressure dings. Have this conversation BEFORE buying your board here or go somewhere else where they stand behind their product. Nice shop. Nice boards. Overall nice vibe. But just surprised at the dings and the response of "put a track pad over it" I guess I also feel a bit blown off update: I put track pad over the whole board. Covered the Stewart and 949... So, it looks like a Costco board except it cost $900+$100 of Amazon. Com track pad. Buy the Costco board for $250, save some money and it already comes with track pad

ordered a brand new stewart. when it arrived, there was a spot where the glassing on the rail was cracked. they blamed it on the shipper and wouldn't take the board back or offer any discount. their policy is "once it leaves our shop, it is no longer our responsibility."

they indicated that a manager or Bill would give me a call. never bothered to do so.

don't ever have them ship you a board.

The Best shop ever! My sons and I just purchased our fourth surfboard from Stewart and we would never go anywhere else! This shop has everything you need and more. The staff is always helpful and courteous. Ashley is the Best! She is so professional, technical, and a pleasure to deal with! We will continue to make the long drive south to buy our boards from Stewart! Thanks

Great store, with a nice selection of boards. I always stop by here on my to trestles to at least grab some wax and say hi!

Spent $1300.00 on new custom board and took it out at " c " street once and the deck was sadly compressed in quite a large area. Called back to talk about it and was told you are out of luck. I doubled up on the deck glass and went with a green blank and was assured it would be pretty much bullet proof. Well ends up a little finger pressure and it dings like its play doh. Was very bummed, poor service and quality of workmanship. I figure a business that that provides a product should at least back up that product when a lemon comes thru and make some allowances accordingly. The board is very beautiful so I just hang it up on the wall. I went out and bought a Takayama and will not buy another stewart because of the board quality. Good luck with yours..

Awesome surf shop! The boards are insanely beautiful and ride even better. This shop is An ode to traditional surfing with a touch of modern.
