As an alumni here, I pretty appreciate what the school provided to me. Great campus view, nice classmates, practical knowledge. However, if you want to have a job in US after graduating from here, you need to make a huge effort. Because the competition is severe in Greater New York City Area.

Although I have not attended this institution, I can sense it is probably a variant Phoney Boloney for-profit. I took the GRE earlier this year and seems I forgot to check off the do not-sell-my-e-mail option. I have been receiving spam up the wazoo from these people (and others) ever since...

I am a web campus student of Stevens--my experience with them has been exceptional, the staff and professors have performed in a prompt and most professional manner. I used to live next door to the main campus in Hoboken but then I moved to northern California and I still pretty much feel like I am part of the institution.

...and honestly no one can beat the view from Stevens campus into New York City.

As a freshman student at Stevens who turned down several big-name universities to come here, I was a tad worried at first about the reputation of the school. It seemed clear that graduates were earnings great salaries, but no one seemed to know about the school itself. Upon further inspection and conversations with people in the corporate sector, it is very clear that Stevens is a highly respected name in business, finance, and engineering. In particular, their Naval Engineering, Maritime Security, Financial Engineering, Quantitative Finance, and Cybersecurity graduates are HIGHLY sought after. It's not an ivy, and we don't have unlimited funding, but it is certainly a fantastic university.

Stevens is a great school. Attending this school has been one of the best decisions of my life. I am an Engineering Management student who has been able to work at top fortune 500 companies as an undergraduate. I've worked for Johnson & Johnson, Colgate-Palmolive, and CB Richard Ellis through the co-op program. Yes, the tuition may be a steep, but the quality of education you recieve is very high. Stevens is ranked top in the country for high return on investment (ROI).

Beautiful waterfront campus, smart students, and good career opportunities after graduation! Worth the money. Hard classes are challenging and pushed me to become a better technologist.

Found a dead rat in Pierce Dining Hall, lady at the grill asked me how I wanted it cooked. She then proceeded to burn the poor lad, tastes like chicken though. I love Pearl though, rest of the staff are hostile.

Getting my Masters Degree at Stevens was one of the best decisions I have ever made. With access to professors who have worked in the corporate world, instead of expressly in academic made a huge difference in the quality of real world education. I have gone back to the school several times for job searches and to reconnect with several of the staff. I would recommend this school wholeheartedly to anyone, and I have.

I'm actually surprised at the two low reviews I read on here. 0/3? That's ridiculous. Stevens is a *very* reputable school for Engineering. Wall St and Hi-Tech Firms recruit heavily at Stevens. In Senior year I had two offers before graduation (1990, a horrible year to look for a job). At 24, after only having 3 years of experience, I was offered a job as a Bank Officer for a major Wall St Firm. Having a Stevens degree propels you up the corporate ladder rapidly.
The curriculum is tough and employers know it.
You couldn't ask for a better location and the campus has the most phenomenal views of the Manhattan skyline.
Interesting fact: Stevens ranks about 12th in the nation for fortune 500 CEOs. When you consider how small the undergraduate classes are, that's a pretty amazing feat.

Big thanks to an angel in disguise, her name is Yajaira Pons. I can t even explain how she helped us.
Just today after months of no communication I sent her an email about something and she replied right away and told me if I needed anything to please contact her.
I love Stevens and their staff!

Stevens has provided me with the best knowledge and experiences during my five years. It is a very close knit environment with an exceptional location. They really make sure that you have all the resources you need in order to succeed both while at Stevens and afterwards.

Finished my master degree here. Education was okay. However, some of the classes are taught by Asian TA and I found they can t teach at all and instead of giving you instructions, they made a comment of you suck! They might know how to do research but they can t teach!

Besides, the gym is a nightmare. People there are not friendly. If you take too long on the equipments, they give you the look instead of asking you to share. The school is lack of athletics atmosphere I would say from what I saw in the gym. They are not welcomed people who are too fit.

Love it

Stevens is a great school, with an awesome location, and a diverse and intelligent community. I loved the courses I took here, and found I enjoyed that the students all worked hard and seemed driven. I was in a grad program, but many undergrads were in my classes as they were working on both their bachelors and masters at the same time. The location is beautiful, and it is worth a visit, even if you are just visiting Hoboken for the day, they have some of the best views of the city!

This school is far too expensive for the education received. I guess you're paying for the view of Manhattan, but that's not going to get you a job upon graduation. I recommend just going to NYU or Columbia - a university that people have heard of with contacts of value. I took a few graduate classes and unfortunately, found that they were completely crammed with undergrads. The professors seemed well-versed in their subject matter, but they pandered to this immature audience, which was a disservice to us few graduate students. Thus, not worth the high cost for an average school with a poorly executed grad program.

Excellent school. My son attended the school and was planning on only doing undergraduate engineering studies but ended up doing a combined masters, because of their flexible programs. He was also was able to advantage of summer internships and was recruited through on campus recruiting for a perm position before graduation.

As a Phd student in Financial Engineering, I would like to say Stevens has one of the best financial lab in the US. Our corporate partners are ConvergEx, Bloomberg, ICAP, Reuters, Gain Capital, etc. The high-frequency financial data from Reuters strongly supports my research. Our professors have projects from Sloan Foundation, SEC, CFTC and other places.

Fairly speaking, our graduate courses are teaching the same knowledge with NYU and Columbia, but the grading is somehow not that tough. It is easy to get A and you need to be responsible for the study quality of yourself. A good point for this is you don't need to focus too much on the grades and have time to do real world practice and research. The graduate students have chance to go to Jefferies for an intern as part of FE800 course. Co-op program is also available to FE students.

Best school for higher education for science, engineering and business. Located at most beautiful location on the high castle point, on the banks of Hudson River across Manhattan skyline. They need to build couple of multistory covered parking garages soon to get over the parking challenges.

The view of the city and the campus are beautiful. The cafeteria has improved. However, there are a lot of cons at this school.
The library has been renovated so that there is more space for students to study. However, if you are looking for a quite study space, do not expect to find it here. There are a lot of study groups and project groups that meet in the library and it can be very difficult to concentrate.
It is nice that in many classes, you recognize faces and can often find people to study with. However, most teachers are not very good at teaching their subjects and students more often than not, need to learn the material on their own. The free student tutoring center is a great resource to help with this.
Furthermore, the staff is horrible. If I have an issue that needs addressing, I can call the same person multiple times in a day, a few days in a row and rarely do I get an answer. It is really frustrating especially if you have a very busy schedule and cannot make it up to their offices to speak to them.
One of the few redeeming qualities that this school does have is the job placement rate and the expected return on investment. But honestly, if I had the chance now to have done it over again or picked another school, I'm not sure that the job placement rate and the ROI could have been enough to convince me to come back.

If you're looking at google reviews to help you make your college decision, there are bigger problems here. However, Stevens consistently changes their curriculums to better fit the modern workplace landscape. The classes are hard but you will be set up to succeed. The location is unbeatable.

Hated it. classmates were mostly hostile, cutthroat competition. Only about half the incoming freshmen survive to graduate, and they pretty much do all they can to make you fail. Don't waste your time and money, find a more friendly college.

Horrible college for doing Masters in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
1. Too expensive. 15000$ per sem.

2. Few professors are really unethical, there is copying going on in exams. Which is good for dull students but bad for students that dont want to cheat because if you don't cheat people less smart than you ends up getting higher grades.

3. Syllabus not followed/changed near the end of semister.

4.The insurance they provide is horrible good luck getting any claim approved and no doctor with this insurance will see you. BTW Waiting for claim to be approve for Hepatitis B vaccine which I took 2 months ago.

"Through hardships to the stars" - Studying at Stevens is both challenging and rewarding. I enjoyed developing lifelong friendships with classmates and professors while learning how to solve complex engineering problems. Furthermore, the school has a beautiful campus perfectly located on the Hudson River overlooking New York City.

Great school, great professors. Stevens is everything a university ought to be, in terms of academics. But the administration is deplorable. Every time I walk into the registrar's office or Student Employment Office (I'm a student employee), I've never seen actual work on the screens; it's always either solitaire or online shopping in progress. No exaggeration. By the way, it took the SEO a month just to add me on the payroll...never mind the fact that I'm still waiting for my paycheck.

It's a nice college with lots of amenities in the area of education, sports and lots of exiting activities. Professors are well experienced and they have lot of knowledge for those who are willing to learn. I've done fellowship from this college in the Data Analytics and Visualization domain and my personal experience was awesome, so I personally recommend this college to all of you.
