Typical Army/Navy store. Knives, work clothes, camo, army surplus, boots, hiking supplies, camping supplies. No guns. A lot of merchandise packed in there. Awesome place for big kids like me.

Best surplus store in the Bay Area...awesome selection of Camo gear, all legit and very good quality. Great camping/survival section...and work clothes and gear for days!! Love this store...prices vary from reasonable to slightly high, but they always have some great sale/clearance items. Owner is very helpful and honest. Five stars all the way for this place!!

Very helpful and humorous clerks. Well organized store with huge selection of men's pants and boots. Small yet sufficient selection for women, I found exactly what I wanted. And after shopping you can get a pizza from next door!

Great place for construction work gear. I bought a nebo flashlight that broke a few days later, they returned it without problems

A hidden gyem of essential camping and natural existence supplies. It reminds me to the way REI started years ago, before they became so commercialized.

I go there for the pants I wear to work. Carhart is tough and 20 bucks more everywhere else. Upper management is kinda lazy. I wanted to have them hold a few pair the next time they came in. Asked if I could get a call when they got there. She got my info and I never heard a peep from anybody there.Maybe a 150 dollar sale doesn't make a difference to them.

Love this place...but it has gotten very expensive over the years....

The store s very old school and caters mainly to men. They do not have women s clothes and just a few shoes. There is also a very claustrophobic feel. I won t be back.

Never been but went on my lunch to find working boots because i needed them same day , the weather has been terrible lately but the selection was plentiful and i found a great pair , thanks

One of the few places in the Bay area with a good selection of workwear. The store is well organized and far more than just a surplus store.

This is a staple of San Jose. I've been coming here since I was a kid in the 90's for Vans, Carhartt, bandanas, Levi's, knives etc. If you need outdoor equipment or any military supplies, this is your store!! I like it a lot better than Mel's because of their prices and selection, however, they do not sell firearms. Every square foot is used for something cool!! Great ownership too

This is my most favorite place to get my work boots and other accessories to keep warm

Really wide range of clothing and footwear plus camping gear. I buy all my tactical pants from here for my uniform.

Really cool to browse or get supplies for camping, the prices are pretty high but for the name brands you expect to pay as such.

Everybody that works at this place rocks you go in there I spent 3 hours this last time only left with $129 worth of things but want the stove wet seal bag air mattress sitting chair all great stuff propane for the stove new stove awesome

Customer service sucks. (Except for the exception of the two female cashiers). We were watched like a hawk, never once did the guy around shoe department ask if he could help us. He just paced around and kept starring at us with a angry look on his face. When we got ready to check out he rushed up to us and asked about a display shoe he couldn't find. The cashier checked our stuff and re assured him we didn't have it. Last time we spend over $100 there. Prices are not competitive at all. Can find better deals at Sears. Only good thing about this store is the variety of outdoor and work gear stuff all in one place.

I love the surplus stores! This one especially is top notch. They have vans, backpacks and rucksacks galore, and the TIMBERLAND'S!

Good selection, priced 25% higher than sportsman's guide or Amazon, but if you need something right now then it is convenient and the staff is knowledgeable

They don t have knowledge of everything, but they have everything. The knife selection is great

I was told the store had American made items by a friend. He did warn me that there was an older gentleman in the store who almost caused him to leave. I went to the store and was greeted by a very friendly staff person who tried to help. While helping me the older guy came over and told her that other customers were more important. She attended to them and they dismissed her. Then when she returned he told her that they were more important again. At that time I told him both of them could cater to them because I was leaving. If the old guy is not the owner you need to get rid of him. He just cost you business

Great customer service, given the amount of items available the store is clean and welll organized to easily find what you are looking for. Prices are good and quality of merchandise is good.

Always a great place for unusal gifts for outdoor friends and found some needed items for my African safari.

The only thing cooler than this store are the people who work here everything you could want or need for outdoor activity

I didnt catch his name but older gentleman with glasses in boot section helped me out. VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE. He recommended these #Carhartt boots and I was sold as soon as I tried them on!

Surprised how many cool things we found at great prices.we went to get a duffel bag, found a bunch. The guys are there to help with great advice.

A+. Hands down best selection of EDC pocket knives and hunting knives anywhere in San Jose. Wide selection of both high end and economy cutlery. They also have an impressively large selection of boots and shoes. Staff is friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable.

a little disorganized, but if you have the time and patience, you can find a few gems here and there. Recently came upon a cute little thick coat for my daughter, probably normally over $60.. bought for $8.. brand new!

I am a steady customer. I needed work specific shoes, and found a big variety. I have bought many shoes , boots, socks, cold weather protection, rain gear, even a compass, because they do have camp gear. I found a lightweight pouch to carry a phone or camera on my belt. This store has been there a long time. There is a reason why. Especially if you work, and are on your feet outdoors, it's a gear store to find what you need. If you like camping and hiking, you will like this store as well. Flashlights ,lanterns , stoves. And you can pick all these things up, look them over, see how it works and is made, and buy it that day and take it home. Friendly service. Great selection.

Only have been here twice so far but have found everything that I was looking for and then some.

Not a whole lot of military stuff but ok I guess. More of blue collar works stuff. Boots shoes milhats patches t-shirts.

I bought working shoes from here today. Everything was good except their customer servicing was sometimes confusing or argumentative. They have everything there with a fair price.
