Steigenberger Al Dau Beach Hotel Review

Swim-up suite was my room called is was superb, the employees were very helpful and friendly. The food at the main restaurant on the 4th floor was delicious but the choices were limited to little.
I would definitely recommend this hotel if you're looking for a getaway without your kids.

Very expensive where u can fine better view and location,,,, the price ridiculously high for nothing! Except being a massive hotel where you can take extra time everywhere u go

I think it is a very good hotel, but due to the fact that it can only be bathed until 6 o'clock in the evening only 4 stars

Place quite interesting. Unfortunately, the renovation and construction of the floor is underway. Perhaps it will be worth a visit again in autumn 2020.
Clean beach and friendly service. The hotel is rather for people who are settled. I recommend the family hotel next door, Steigenberger Aqua Magic, and younger couples Steigenberger Pure. All side by side.

Great hotel, I want to come back here again and again. Beautiful grounds, friendly staff, a full five. Well-groomed area and well-trained staff. Super musicians play the piano in the evenings. The rooms are new.

The most luxury hotel experience in Egypt I've ever tried. Staff are so helpful and always keeping your comfort the first priority for them. Hotel is so clean and applying a real social distancing policy with many methods and a lot of sanitizers everywhere. Beach and pools are so great specially the heated pool and its facilities around like restaurants and bars.
Simply, you will have a real happy time there.

Had a wonderful week. friendly and obliging staff clean rooms with everything you need beautiful pool and the food was great. Really going back once. It was great.

The hotel is a very nice one. However, the handling of the waiter to the guest is very relaxed and not acceptable for us. I do not want to be asked by the waiter what my night was, what my name is, where I live or who the best football club is ... I want to place my order and receive it.
There is a difference between friendly, accommodating or cheap intrusive ....
Nevertheless, I thank you for the very nice conversation of the F & B manager and feel very seriously taken as a guest in the 5 star area. I am sure that my request will be implemented.
Commendable absolutely front office and shushi restaurant.
Maybe there is a third visit.

The best hotel in hurghada it s restaurant is perfect it got many facilities like (aquamarine ,pools ,Gym,spa, huge lounge with a beautiful court and a running track) Good hospitality its near Hurghada airport aslo carrefour hypermarket.

We arrived on Monday and previously booked an "Elite" room with all inclusive directly on the website. Our first impression of the complex was positive, very spacious, well-kept and friendly.

Evaluation of the check-in:
- very sluggish and slow, despite the booked "elite" room
- Receive a very tasty welcome drink. (Passion Fruit Anything Shake)
- We had to go to our room independently (not necessarily easy with the gigantic facility).

Rating of room 1479:
- The corridor there didn't seem to have been cleaned for days, the corridor to the other standard rooms were much more neat.
- Room was clean, large balcony, super comfortable beds, large flat screen TV
- Bathroom very outdated, the flush didn't work in the meantime, the pressure of the water in the rain shower was very weak, it wasn't fun to shower, but it was ok.
- Kettle calcified, minibar smelled of old beer
- Air conditioning works, but relatively loud.

Rating of the restaurant Tamarind:
- More like a school canteen
- Volume level catastrophically high
- Quiet: Nothing, even in the adult area
- Quality of the food: bad, except for the freshly grilled or fried meat / fish
- Dessert: Below average, poor processing, a lot of cream and no variety, as promised in the hotel's fact sheet
- Breakfast: OK, but very boring.

Beach:
- Well-kept, but relatively small
- Well-equipped beach bar
- Water good for swimming at a suitable temperature

Overall rating:

- Definitely doesn't deserve the name "Steigenberger". It's almost an insult. Before arriving, I stayed at the Steigenberger Am Kanzleramt in Berlin. Both the quality of the food (even if not so much choice) worlds better, as well as the rooms.
- I know that the employees receive a starvation wage, but it is part of decency and good behavior not to be pushy asking for tips. If they do their job right and then, if necessary, even well, without it looking a bit too fancy, then you are happy to give, otherwise not.
- As soon as you leave the hotel complex you are already harassed by local vendors and taxi drivers, which is a no-go. I come here to relax and switch off from the stressful everyday life. In no case should privacy be neglected. If I want something, you come up to them, but that way you scare off tourists.

- I will definitely not come back next time. Last year I was at the Jaz Aquamarine and both the food and the classic double room were significantly better than that of the SB Al Dau, the latter being even more expensive than the Jaz.

Were there in late November early December 2019. Construction work, top floor increase from 8:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Hammering, drilling, flexing, large construction machines etc. Currently not recommended. Only think about booking again when the work is completed in about 1 year.

A really great hotel. Very friendly staff. Great room with the best beds you can have in a hotel. Except the music by the pool, which was extremely loud and not pleasant for such a chilling holiday. There lounges music would be a bit more appropriate. But the hotel is definitely recommendable. We will definitely be back.

Everything is amazing! Just the entertainment can be on the higher level. Singers are very unmotivated and completely offkey. Dancers are ruining the dance(telling as professional dancer). But very friendly and helpful personal.

The best service and the best quality. Heavenly place to relax, rest, and have fun.
