I had my holiday cancelled due to Covid and NOT my fault, they refused to refund any of the money.


It was the First and Last time I use your company, I basically paid you for nothing. The advisor was friendly but completely useless and so I changed to another date which I won't use due to covid.

I had covid cover and still got no refund. This should have been explained more clearly in the terms and conditions of the cover

Staysure Travel Insurance - ignoring my emails sen...

Staysure Travel Insurance - ignoring my emails sent via Resolver. I was advised last year that, if I needed to reschedule my holiday due to the pandemic there would be no issues in rescheduling my travel insurance. This year when I went to do exactly that I'm treated as if they are doing me a huge favour. Initially I was told I would lose 90% of the money I'd already paid they then said as a gesture of goodwill they would reschedule the insurance for my rearranged holiday next year but it might cost me more. I was told they couldn't do this there and then and that the advisor would call me back in a weeks time, over a week and a half later and no call back. No response to me complaint email and clearly no disregard for their customers whatsoever or the stress and anxiety they are placing on people like myself in what are still troubling and difficult times.

As I am prevented from holidaying in my cottage in Brittany at the moment, I have not put Staysure to the test yet. Nevertheless, I feel that the policy is good value and communication has been helpful. Perhaps I will know more later in the year.

I did forward this to Ombudsman and it seems you have the letter of the law on your side...Well Done!

First time we have used staysure, price and cover ...

First time we have used staysure, price and cover are very good. The only true test of how good they are will come if we ever need to make a claim, which I hope will be never. So until then, they get full marks for the cover they provide and the quality of their website to help me choose that cover.

Stay well clear. I had my holiday cancelled due to Covid and they refused to refund any of the money as they said I had "absorbed my rights to have a 36 month credit note" because I took my insurance out when I booked the holiday over a year ago!! Would only offer a 20% credit towards another quote in the future which will, obviously, never be used as I won't touch them ever again! They should be ashamed of themselves.

I have been trying to get a holiday insurance quote. I filled in all the data on line, created an account but somehow the two weren't linked. When they were there was almost no data there. So I phoned sales and basically had to go through everything again. I was given a revised quote value but does not come up correctly on my account. As there was a considerable sum of money my wife and I wanted to recheck what I had stated but apparently you are not allowed to see the data you gave them (given an online system should be a read only piece of cake. It smacks at very sharp sales practice, do I want to do business with them, the jury is out.
