My 3year old daughter got knocked over by a skateboarder in the front, and he just kept on skating. no respect for anyone else. the council need to ban skateboarders in the front as it is too busy and congested
My favourite place for a leisure stroll along the bookshelves and find a random book to read inside or outside this beautifully designed, architecturally stunning library right in the middle of the city! The historical building shows the cultures and still modernised to be practical inside !
The best library I've ever been to! It's free Wi-Fi and wide. Lots of computers. It's just great for studying. Please go there once.

The library is famous for its old-fashioned atmosphere. You can climb the library to the observation deck and enjoy the sights. However, the library structure is too open and crowded with many people does not seem appropriate for reading.
Great library with so many books to read and a very well organized library. It is a book lovers paradise. Very easily accessible by all modes of public transport bus, train, tram and taxi. Right in the heart of city. It stores all news papers, magazines and journals published. Great photo spot as well. Free internet and mobile charge points are also availble inside the building. Always buzzing with students and researchers.
Beautiful building, but unfortunately there is no part of the interior is quiet, if you want to read in here, bring your noise-canceling headphones.

A beautiful ornate library with plenty to see and do. Regular exhibitions are held like the Ned Kelly seize and aftermath, including the Royal Commission after the Glenrowan event. These exhibitions and talks are free to participate in and you can use the Libraries web site to register.
The genealogy society is located in the building, along with a reading room. The reading room is located under the dome and is a beautiful venue.
Friendly staff will direct you when you enter the building from the Swanston Street entrance and you will find a number of new initiatives instigated by the library provided to the people and visitors of Melbourne.

A Photo zone you must visit when you are in Melbourne! You wouldn t want to utilize it as a library to study because tourists are constantly coming in and out the door. However, it is wonderful architecture and how it is preserved and respected is awesome!
This is one of the best state library across the whole Australia. As a library, it include all the functionality which a state library should have. And generally the space is always enough except the end of semester. Meanwhile, this state library also including a lot of classic element. You will feel quite enjoyable when you stay there.

Um , Hello where are the books. Hardly any of them. People bumping into each other because there texting . maby I'm old school but I miss the BOOK libary . also the staff and security could smile , that never hurts

Despite the size and amount of people, the library is gorgeous and accommodating. It's the ideal study spot and I have to say, much better than the tiny state library in Hobart!

The library is such a place where people are unconsciously calm down. Comfortable tables and chairs, as well as sofas, are reasonably placed to make you feel psychologically comfortable no matter where you sit. Compared with NYPL, even better than it. The front lawn and chessboard are also very good, sitting on the lawn for lunch, sunbathing, watching the seagulls. Too comfortable.
Frequently been there to work on my assignments. I love studying there. The hall is huge. And it's kind of a museum. I have noted that quite a lot of exhibitions are held there often.
It's suppose to be a peaceful place for people to learn and study here. But NOPE, let's take a selfie and pretend that you know alot about arts to impress your SO. 10/10 will impress my SO again.
