Central mall of Ulaanbaatar, there are few shops with good items but some of them are bit pricey.
Central mall of Ulaanbaatar, there are few shops with good items but some of them are bit pricey.
Too messed up with no appropriate parking space and crowded. Do not recommend
Number 1 store for tourists so far. Sadly the elevators take forever to come. The escalator is way faster.
It's very comfortable and so good services. I liked
The Oldest and best department store in Ulaanbaatar. You can find cashmere stores at the second floor. Absolutely recommended. It sells very nice souvenirs for tourists.
Such a great place for shopping! You will absolutely love this place
You can find cashmere clothing here, although I found it expensive. The store is a bit of a maze, nothing is easy to find as there are half floors and shops have their clothes everywhere with no strict shop delineation. There is a big supermarket which is awesome, but the product choices are not awesome for travellers (only sold 2 kg rice bags, some fruits and vegetables are found in 1 kg bags as well) and its quite pricey
Probably the best all-in-one store in UB. Fresh production to clothing to home appliances. Very good quality and prices
The State Department Store, the face of Mongolia, was founded with the help of Soviet specialists and was renamed the Central Department Store. Nomin Holding remains Mongolia's largest trading center, with a majority stake in the company, despite the economic and social changes that took place during the transition to democracy in the 1990s.
With this right policy, Nomin Holding LLC has been working hard to provide more than 1,000 jobs and provide the world's best brands with a centralized one-stop shop in the State Department Store.
The State Department Store has provided more than 500 employees in 80 departments of the world's best brands, 220 employees in 50 customer departments, and 260 employees in 130 tenant departments imported by Nomin Holding LLC's subsidiaries. The country is making a real contribution to the country by mobilizing MNT. As a result, we operate on a total area of 23,600 square meters and serve approximately 15,000-20,000 customers per day.
There is the largest and best inventory store in Mongolia for many years, human gold and silver
Abundant items. Souvenirs are available, but slightly expensive.
Best place for shopping in Ulaanbaatar Mongolia. Best place to buy souvenir and cashmere
Nice place to do shopping. My favourite shop in here is Calliope.
You can find almost everything here, but things are always more expensive
Apparently no one of the shop assistants speak English
Such a nice place wish i could buy every single products
Unfortunately, it was the only department store in the country that burned down
It is the oldest department store in Mongol. And it has a lot of kinds of goods.
A reasonable and needed place under the conditions of Ulanbatur.
Best department store in Mongolia. Big supermarket on the 1st floor. E'thing is good here.
Top floor for locally made goods at a controlled price
It is good to exchange money, and it is good to have a super ticket.
Excellent place to buy handicrafts (5th floor). Also to buy things from the newspaper.
Nice shopping center but only good for a walk .. Very high prices for Mongolia
Nice place but just to have a walk ... It is super expensive for mongolian standard and even for european standards
Currency exchange is on the first floor! Mongolian money is also exchanged with Korean money. On the second floor there are accessory stores on the 6th floor. The other thing in the accessory store is expensive, and I buy six magnets, and I pay 1,500 Korean won for each one. :) When you buy something to eat, Nomin Department Store on the first floor. The hottest place in the department store these days is Toure. There is no public WiFi!
One stop location for shopping, good supermarket inside as well.
Pretty much where you can find almost anything for the Western traveler... North Face, Columbia, and some other outdoor brands that I've never seen before but seem to be on par with Marmot. All in all, good places...parking is super cheap so don't try to street park. The super market on the ground floor is good as well. 7th floor food court, 6th floor souvenirs, 5th floor electronics + cell phone services, 4th-2nd floors clothing, 1st floor super market, jewelry, make up, caffe bene. Beware of pickpocketters in the parking lot, easy to spot.
Six-storey supermarket. The food department, home appliances, souvenirs are sold and everything is ready. As credit card is usable, it is safe.
Cashmere shop.Food Various items are available, so it is just right to buy souvenirs.
Good to see. There is a souvenir shop on the top floor and every floor is well-equipped. There is a cafe grocery store pizza hut on the ground floor.
Please note that tourists are very crowded, so please do not take taxis in front of them. The odds of getting ripped off are high.
You can think of it as a Korean mart.
not friendly with disable people. no proper ramp and rest room
Not only just a department also kind of useful place that have a banking and movie and something you need.
Fun fact: Although it's called state department store, it's not owned by the state. If you're a foreigner who's visiting Mongolia, this is your starting point, very tourist friendly.
Good place for one stop shopping. They have grocery store, clothing, electronics and many more.
All the most interesting is on the 5th floor, but cashmere needs to be looked at the second. In September, there are large crowds of schoolchildren with their parents.
All things considers are good price to offer, 6th floor souvenirs shop is quite too pricy. Suggest go out to souvenir shop on same road, 5 minutes walk.
I'm giving it 5/5 because other malls are selling fake stuff
This department store sells all real stuff, and has a variety of shops unlike other department stores here.
It's tourist souvenir section is large enough to spend 45 mins there.
Coffee shop is good, and super market is big enough here.
Great store for locals and foreigners. Top-quality electronic products and fashion stores.
Nice, warm atmosphere. Can find almost everything. Clear, kid friendly.
It is a very large and complete shopping mall where you can buy and do everything you need.
The most important store in Mongolia, I advise you to visit it. There is almost everything, even an airplane)))
Eat at the first floor supermarket
The second, third and fourth floors are just passing by.
Buying invisibly from the 5th floor
The 6th floor is a souvenir floor where you can buy multiple presents here
Get to buy my souvenirs here. very affordable and helpful staff.
Perfect place of shoping not only for Mongolian also coming abroad. I feel comfort while shoping into the State Department Store of Mongolia. Both quality and price match with my choice and budget. I found all those items I desire to collect. If I got any chance to visit Mongolia again, no doubt I will be here.
Used to be the only place of its kind in Mongolia.
Good place to shop before a journey through Mongolia.
Supermarket, nice souvenir clothes, chemist and friendly tourist office (English speaking). You can also buy and activate a sim card here.
If you need a Mongolian sim card, you could find easily one on the last floor
Mongolian first department store and a lot of brands in there. U can find what u want
Department stores with all sections. The best place to buy gifts and souvenirs. Affordable prices for the western tourist (expensive for the locals). They have everything and accept cards and currency. Very cool shirts with designs by Gengis Khan.
The main store of Ulaanbaatar, specially for tourists there a variety of souvenir choices on the fifth floor and a supermarket at first floor
One of the must-see places for tourists visiting Mongolia
