I had gone for a marriage ceremony. The food was not up to the mark. The is not fully made reaching up to the place.

Very relaxing atmosphere. Enjoyful for kids. Very well maintained rooms and sports activities. But I felt it is a bit expensive property

Westin Sohna during COVID-19 times

We had not ventured out in a while and we mostly travel around the summer break. So the most appropriate and safest option for us was Westin Sohna resorts.

We took the Villa that was well-sanitised and services have been modified to adapt the new ways of working in COVID-19 times.

Food is served on the tables. Order is taken, food placed in sanitised trays that one needs to serve on their own.

Some may find it not so luxurious, however, I found the experience very intimate - with no crowd.

All the activities such as trampoline part, paint ball and others stood cancelled. So if you are looking at taking the kids, think twice as they might get bored.

Overall, I enjoyed the experience- it was liberating to step out of the house after so many months.

Approach road - from ggn, good till highway, post that too bumpy
From noida, via faridabad, very bad road, at one point only single lane road for good 10 kms once u exit faridabad

Property
Good nice property with greenery and cleanliness, the property could have been maintained in a better fashion tough.

Rooms
We stayed in a double bed room, 800 series, they were big rooms, in sets of 4, 2 on ground floor and 2 on first floor.

Food
Food was a disappointment, it was very basic and not at all good in taste. The lunch and dinner both were fairly average, the breakfast on the other hand was good. They need to improve on same.

Swimming pool
Very small two pools, given their location, They could have opted for bigger pools.

Getting around
Fairly big property with e rickshaws moving around, but their frequency was too less.

Others
They have a lake too, where para gliding was possible at 1200 per head.. Cab be negotiated further.
Overall, nice place for a family getaway, but there are more options in Delhi ncr which can be explored. Overall rating of 3.5 out of 5, given decimal is not allowed I say 4 out of 5.

Very nice property and amazing greenery which invites a lot of birds which are rare sight in Delhi. They have amazing zoo with many birds and animals which was a treat to watch. The only drawback is that the rooms are not that big and it is a bit overpriced.

The hotel actually is more than what has been made out by PR and the hype around it. Great food, good rooms however exorbitant compared to what one can get at 15k INR

Location is on isolate island, hard to get there, very expensive!

Well maintained resort on outskirts of Gurgaon. Take your family and relax during weekends. It has 2 huge swimming pools. You have a mini zoo with farm animals and also go karting inside. Food and hospitality is amazing.

Place is good but too off road and difficult to reach as condition of the road is not good... Food is okay....

An amazing property with poor staff and management..

People have given 5 stars but have they considered the access roads , if we ignore them too what about the status of roads within the complex, c'mon Vatika spend some money there too if you need the extra star after all I am paying for the entire experience.

Checking-in process was smooth, distances within the complex are walkable but not in the Summer heat, thankfully they have golf carts for that.
Rooms are nice and cool but there is a problem with the place, it's starting to show its years plumbing , light points, room service will be something they need to work on. We called the reception at least 5-6 times before the WiFi issues was sorted, they gave us an Airtel dongle.
Food - breakfast has variety and all can enjoy the it but even in the morning the place can get hot( we traveled in June 2019) and crowded too. We had to sit in the bar both for space and it was cooler for our breakfasts. Sitting in the evening in the main dining hall was also uncomfortable as the cooling is a bit ineffective . Music was loud and unappealing, the lighting was dim but not quite the effect a dim light should bring . The 2nd night we had Chinese and better food and environment is more appealing and certainly less crowded.
Desserts were not up to the mark.

Swimming pool- lap pool was good and I preferred that to the main pool as there were frogs and toads for company.

Gym was 24 hrs with card entry and equipped.

Activities for children are depending on how much the parents want to push themselves as it appears that the place takes little interest in that no group activities coordinated by the staff, no tombola, no other activities for the adults which the place should offer to help with its patronage. I know many would say they are there to relax and lie in the bed but that's not everyone's cup of tea .

Overall a good experience but could have been better, heavy on the purse if you eat all meals here with drinks

Big property, lush green, pollution free, great staff, host of outdoor (ground for cricket, football; court for lawn tennis and bedminton; big swimming area) activities; indoor (gym, table tennis, pool, caram) activities, adventour (go cart track, paint ball, horse riding, Snorkling etc) activities. Wide buffet spread with different varities in different meals, live music in night, book and souvenior shop, kids play area and activities, kids swimming pool, SPA services. Premier rooms were very big and sufficient for 2 adult and 2 kids. Room has bath tubs and both side balconies for great view. There is small animal habitat for kids to play around.

Especial mentiom and thanks to Manoj in The Living Room dining area and Omvir from admin staff for making stay even more meorable.

Great getaway from the city
Rooms could be made better

Really an excellent place to go for a lovely weekend retreat for a few days. Very courteous staff, excellent food and drinks, very well appointed rooms with nature all around us, away from pollution and hustle bustle of maddening traffic. Nice games and adventure sports are icing on the cake. A place worth a visit as the nature is at its best at this place, and maintenance of the resort is excellent. Highly recommended.

Arrogant staff, worst possible service.... In fact they should be ashamed of being in service industry... Extremely bad food... I have been a member and regretting my decision to become one... Will strongly advise every one not to ever think of giving any patronage to this filthy place..

One of the best resort. Best place for family vacation or romantic getaway. Lityle far from city but worth it

Good for 1 night stay. Dinner buffet was bad. Breakfast was ok. Overall it was good in parts that's why the 3 stars. I am not coming back again.

We stayed at Westin Sohna Dec 2018 end and it was horrible experience with us. Our valueables were stolen from room and i could not get back despite of taking up matter with their securiy staff. It is surprising that they do not have CCTV and thus we could not find movement of persons in our room. The same incidence happened with my office staff also. They lost cash from their room at the same time from other room. Both incidents happened in same duration of time and same date. I have no faith in their security system. There are no proper lights and cctv outside rooms so that these types of events may be controlled. I personally do not recommend to stay. In the night it is very dark and without cctv and proper light any thing can happen.
Really disappointed.

Avergae bouffet, good in-room dining, amazing property but not as well maintained as are other Westin properties...maybe due to its size...enjoyed overall

Resort is not maintained properly and highly understaffed at the moment. Response time is very slow for In-Room services as well as in the restaurant. The services are not upto the mark such as a water bottle order could take a minimum of 15 minutes to reach your table. You will have to remind staff to know status of your order.

The quality of food was pathetic during my visit be it Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner. The variety in buffet was very limited which was not expected from a property like this and COVID-19 measures were not properly followed and people were roaming without masks on and staff hardly paid attention to this.

Not the kind of experience you expect from such property. I would not recommend to visit Westin at this point of time.

A perfect getaway for Delhi NCR people. If you're looking at going not too far from home but still away enough then this is it. The rooms are extremely spacious and they have their own animal farm. It was a great experience. There are plenty of activities that you can go. Even the food waa good.

Disappointing. The villa exorbitantly priced with lack of cleaning and bad food service.

Amazing.. we had to reroute as we missed a cut in between and the new route was worth the miss despite of going through the farms

A perfect getaway from the rush of the city, Stay here and treat you to the lush gardens & another special is Go Karting.
I absolutely love it! The staffs makes you feel not just welcomed, they go out of their way to make you feel like royalty.

The property is beautiful and have good amenities. However the location and getting there without your vehicle is a hassle, the road leading to the property is quite bad and Google maps could send you through a bad road as the there are many villages near by. Best was it would be through Sohna. Coming to the service the room service is very expensive and quite slow. Given that the property is huge and each room is secluded they manage to give good privacy to all the guests. There are a lot of activities at the property however it would have been nice if they were included with the stay. All the activities are quite expensive as well. All in all if you have enough to spend and are looking for a quick get away from NCR this is the best option. Cheers!

Staff is so poor, you won't believe it's a Westin property...
They said no to every requests, none of the toiletries were present in the room, my friend even got stuck in the washroom for an hour or so because it's door jammed...

Summary: Horrible untrained staff

A good place for a weekend getaway and away from all the noise. Rooms are spacious and comfortable.

Great property, secluded from the urban side of the city.

This place is widely spread out with lush greenery and domestic animals (mainly birds). Morning becomes so soothing and relaxing once you wake up and see beautiful greenery spread across. Food quality and taste was good. Rooms are great for couples with bath tub, shower approximately created in natural styles in open (few rooms only). Room amenities were also great and stands out as luxury. Staff were courteous and hospitality was good.

What I didn't liked - Room service is very very poor and takes ages to provide a simple sandwich.
As the resort is widely spread and all cottages looks same it is apparent that you gets lost here and unless you find staff locating room will be difficult task. Simple solution is to have well positioned & clear map placed at right place like a point from where streets gets divided.

Experience was good, but still a little below expectation.

A nice outdoors place where one can escape from humdrum of mundane city life at a drivable distance from Delhi. Have many outdoor activities you. keep yourself engaged. A wonderful spa. Paragliding, cycling, rifle shooting, paint ball shooting and dirt biking to state a few activities.

Peace and Tranquility... That's what you find here. Good food, great service by staff and awesome property.

I visited Westin sohna for my husband birthday on a weekend in Feb. This was my second time and we thought that since it is Marriott property, things might change. I was disappointed. It was a pathetic stay. We had requested for a room with not plumbing issues and I think their team made sure that we get the room with worst pluming issues.
We called a maintenance mad and whole evening. We had issues with hot water since morning and their team couldn't repair it till 8 at night. Maintenance man while repairing damaged phone line.
I called for the duty manager but seems she was too busy and came after an hour.
Next morning again we had hot water issue.
Food service was great but the food was below average. I had an upset stomach and don't feel like eating breakfast.
The most funny was their activities. I was shocked at the fact that a place like them were charging for using cycles for an hour or so. We have been to similar properties and usually sport activities are either complimentary or comes with package.
We played basketball and our ball went out side court near wires. I kept complaining for around 20 minutes but no one came to help.
Overall, pathetic service and non supportive staff. While leaving, we gave our feedback. If you are planning to have a special weekend, you might want to look for better place.
I wish I could give them minus stars.

Great for corporate retreats or a weekend getaway , it is 2 hr long drive from delhi , and the approach roads are a bit difficult to drive on but the ambience and feel of the place is fantastic and worth a visit

This property claims to be 5 star but it is clearly not maintained well. The villa floors seem like they've never been scrubbed, bathrooms have disgusting spots everywhere which is unacceptable, the wifi didn't work and neither did the refrigerator. We were taken to another villa but it was in the same situation so clearly cleanliness standards do not exist and the cleaning staff seems to be very poorly trained. After dealing with the above issues for 5+ hours on our 1 night stay, we asked for a refund. The on site MGMT was incompetent in addressing our concerns until I myself spoke with the director of operations just as we were about to leave the property at 10pm! (Sigh) The Dir asked us to stay graciously and gave us a refund but much more needs to be done to bring this property back to its glorious days. I hope the MGMT takes this maintenance issue seriously before they go out of business.

Nice place for group stay . Enjoyed alot. Also small zoo is good idea with small lake n duck pond .
