How neat you go from the outside to the inside great for a date night indoors in a rainy day

June 2018- Theatre has recently been updated. New carpet, paint, seats, drapery, and light fixtures. Top that off with the most charming lobby and restaurant options, I wouldn t want to go anywhere else.

chairs, walls and carpet have finally been remodeled making this theater enjoyable again! Only remaining wish is for the popcorn to be fresh :)

I honestly love stanwood cinema, It's cheeper than most theaters and they show old movies on special days. The concessions are always fresh. there's an arcade. there are three restaurants that share the building that are a bit pricey but it's worth the good food. I believe one of the restaurants even has a tv to watch the football game on and the bathrooms are all clean. Not many people go to stanwood cinema so you end up going to a movie without the annoyance of a full theater. They have a new deal where any movie on Tuesday is a $5 showing but I don't know too much about that. I think that's all and I hope my contribution was helpful

It has been a while since my last time here. It feels like the seats are new. They are very comfortable. This place is never busy and is nice and convenient.

The Dragon Palace is a well loved restaurant in Stanwood. The food is excellent, proportions guarantee leftovers, waitstaff thorough & attentive. Location easy off&on Hwy 532, abundant parking.

I have never been to the Stanwood theater before or even knew that it was existed. Until today. I am from Burlington Washington. And I have to say the experience was much more enjoyable than going to the AMC Cascade Mall 14 theaters. I love the atmosphere. The decorations are great. The theaters just as comfy as any other theater. Better prices. Less lines. All-around wonderful experience. And the arcade is really cool too!

Great to have a little local theater in town. We always have an easy going experience when we come to see a movie. Staff is helpful and nice to the little kids.

Very very good theater but could use a little cleaning but movies are always great

Had a great time watching Breakthrough last night. There weren't many people and the kids had fun.

Great place. Eat before you see a movie. Then play at the arcade afterward. My kids love it.

Very cute, well done area, except for a lot of empty space.
The theatre is inside the pavilion, but there are also several restaurants inside as well; they look like they should be the "outside" patio areas.
It's set up smart so one can eat before or after a movie, right there!
You have to see it to understand.

Average price for movie tickets. Concession options are lacking, the screen quality is up to date at least but the audio options are lacking. More updated theaters provide a more spectacular experience. The interior of the theaters is why this review is so low. Every time I attend there is a faint urine smell on the old seats. It's pretty disgusting.

It's a great quiet place for movies or one of the restaurants that share the atrium.

I give this theater 3 stars for convenience and location because I live in Stanwood, however, it is in need of renovation. I had to change seats because the arm rest was missing and I scraped my arm on a bolt where the armrest should have been. I changed seats and when putting my hand on the seat I front of me the seat jolted forward. My sons seats were in need of repair or replacement also. They need new carpet and the complex bathroom could use some repair and cleaning as well. I love that the theater is in the Stanwood Pavilion with restaurants, it's a great location but I worry that if some updates and repairs aren't done this theater may not be able to stay in business.

So the kids set the microwave on fire everyone had to leave but it was pretty lit because it's really funny because they're only five people in the cinema

Stanwood Cinemas is by far the best home town theater in our area. The managers have upgraded the seats and the facility. The mood during a movie is relaxed and comfortable. Keep up the good work!

This theater may be all outdated but that is all part of its charm and character. I love this theater and it's location.

This place is awesome, wish I had gone sooner. Great restaurants, cool theatre, and the staff at all we're very nice! Cool indoor main Street theme is fantastic. The idea of a patio dinner but still indoors is great on a rainy day!

Great theater and it's connected to a couple of stanwoods best resteraunts.

Update: The establishment has received a long overdue makeover. It went from derelict movie theater that time & nature was about to reclaim to semi-modern, cute clean little theater. The screens look much better as well. No need to drive to neighboring cities to get a movie fix. Hopefully the city residents, employees, managers, and owners can take better care of it from now on.

Clean, matinee price for 1st show, senior day Tuesday

We drove up there from Lake Stevens just to go to this cool theater and the lady behind the counter was the epitomy of CADDY and RUDE. It was literally all I could do to leave after the movie and not make a huge scene. I'll never be back

The theaters are garbage, the hand rests are missing, someones seat broke and they were hurt the attendant laughed at the them.
Spend the extra time and go to another theater.

Very, very long line to buy tickets. 15+ min wait Saturday matinee.

Movie was good but the walls were trashed and theatre smelled like a bathroom! Remodel already...

The new Manager Sabrina was a very nice lady and is full of positive energy. She is also very pretty and sets a great mood for the theater. In case anyone is wondering she has a boyfriend I asked. I had a great experience and loved the old outdated setting of the theater, and will gladly go back and watch another movie there for another movie experience. The way the paint was splattered on the carpet brings out the hallway amd makes it look artostic.

Place is absolute trash no wonder the workers their are all high schoolers cuz everyone that works there are idiots and probably wont graduate also there prices are to high and it smells like someone died in it

This place has come a long way. New comfortable seats, wall and floor coverings. Bathroom could use an update but it is a multi-business shared bathroom so hard to hold one business accountable for it. Love having a nice theatre nearby.

Always love this little place, fun and cheap to watch movies here. Not a lot of people either, pretty quiet. Never had a problem.

Not the fanciest but the best priced theatre around.

The chairs are all pretty filthy, some are perpetually in a state of disrepair, the carpet in the main hallway is a disaster, and it smells kinda weird in here, too. Mostly cosmetic things, but it ruins the movie-going experience for me. I just wish the theater were better cared for. The only thing that saves this place for me is that they always have a groupon deal going and they're the closest place to my house, so it's great when I'm trying to save money. But if you want that exciting, grand movie-going experience that makes you feel like a kid, go somewhere else :(

If you want to watch the move (no frills) this is the place for you. You are not paying for all the fancy upgrades. You get the movie. You get a seat. It will cost you less.
Bonus-no crowds. Relaxed customer service with no additude.

Fine enough theatres that have never been full when we came. Our only complaint is that they break the ticket lines into two queues which include snack service, and people who come much later can end up getting served much earlier as you sit behind people who can't decide which kind of pop to drink or whether or not they want butter on their popcorn. This can be infuriating when you are missing part of your movie, watching several others pass you by.

OMG they remodeled. Now it is a good price AND top notch place. Well done!!!

Old style theatre. Quaint , cozy, clean, and good snack bar prices.

Not very busy and definitely needs some repairs to the place, including light strips on the stairs in the actual theaters. Can't see and its a trip hazard when the lights go down. Good popcorn though and my family likes to eat at the Chinese restaurant inside the place before we go see a movie.

Do not go here! Bathrooms are disgusting, service is awful..I asked for a cup to get some water from the water fountain and the "manager" Billy asked me why I needed it three times after my first response was for some water, guess that wasn't good enough, then finished with for myself, he sighed and reluctantly handed me the smallest one they had. I thought I was in the twilight zone..scary! Also the air hockey was out of order. Only game there worth playing. Beware!

Great, small-town vibes from this complex! Good times got even better with their new seats in the theaters. Well worth the extra drive as opposed going walking Regal Marysville!

Well This takes the cake.
My wife and girls went to see a movie there today, Guess what my Wife started to walk out after the movie was done and found a bug on her arm, right after standing up when the credits were done. Talk about scummy.
The over all condition of the theater is in poor shape. Sound is horrible. Lighting is off. Heck you cant see the previews. Curtains are torn and the place smells. There is obvious signs the owners just don't care.
We have seem restaurants come and go from this place. The poor condition is driving away the customers.
Each time I have eaten pop corn from there I get the runs. So we have in the past avoided eating any thing from here and just watched the movie.
Just so you guys know, This is the final straw that broke the camels back so to speak. We tried for years to support this failing Cinema, but enough is enough.
Stanwood Cinemas, Clean up your act, or sell it to someone who will take care of it.

I went there several times hoping for a better experience but the staff is EXTREMELY rude and the place is FILTHY. Sure I haven t been in months due to closing, but I sure as hell won t go there again. Trust me, stick to Regal.

Its great to have a movie theater in Stanwood as I suggested it years ago when they sent out surveys asking what would you like in Stanwood. Unfortunately they need to repair a lot of their seating as a friend bumped her legs on back of seat in front of her and it fell off, seats missing, arm rests missing, scraped myself a few times on the metal in the dark, sat in a seat and the thing fell off. I would go there more often and I believe it would draw the crowds like they used to if they fixed it up nice!!!

Uncrowded multi-plex makes for pleasant viewing. All the usual first and second run films pass through this theater, and yet, no crowds.

Come here for the cheap movie. Concessions are weak service is meh. It could be sooo much better

This cinema need a up date, new seats would be great. More people would use it if it was updated! Also get butter for your popcorn, your popcorn is so good, but when you have cold greasy butter not so good!

Just happy to have a theatre in Stanwood. The people whining should move to the big city where they have really nice seats.

Comfortable theater. Convenient location. Only 13 folks including us at a weeknight 7pm show.

It's an old theatre and shows it's age. Worn out but clean carpets. The screens are okay. Some seats are busted but it is a good cinema and great staff.

Combo review for the restaurants and the Cinema. Cinema is refurbishing all the time, really getting nice and shiny. LOW prices. Best place to enjoy a movie alone with a girl. Visit a movie a couple weeks late, and BAM, you're solo in the movie. Sing along with Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody, or laugh raucously at Wreck it Ralph 2. Literally like it's your own couch at home.
Food places are very tasty, and used to being quick enough to allow us to get into a movie. You tell them what you want sitting down, and that you have thirty minutes til a movie, they're going to help you. Really good orange chicken, tea, and rangoons at the Chinese food place. The mexican place has a great staff and the guac is killer. Margaritas are super tasty.

Very small, old theatre. The seats are a bit low and uncomfortable, but otherwise the theatre was clean and pleasant. Nice size screens and great volume once the movie begins. They don't play previews.

Really cute local theater in a great environment. Privately owned so it is not a big chain but it was fun and not too loud. Will be back.

My movie had subtitles and didn t tell me otherwise great the manager is snooping on me and my friends

Not complete yet (haven't had a chance to see whether they have improved the bathrooms). Carpeting is decent and new, seats much better and in better repair, wall hangings fixed. In general, worth another star now.

Food is still crappy. I'll update when I know whether they still make you stand in a food line to get your tickets (which they do at the later shows and which can make you miss part of your film if the person in front of you cannot make up their mind about the food). Still need to see the bathroom condition.

It's just ok. Management doesn't care about the place - no investment since upgrade to digital projectors. Floors crappy, paint terrible. They've moved the ticket sales to the food counter in the evening so don't arrive anywhere near time for your movie or you'll have some idiot standing in front of you ordering four buckets of popcorn and drinks and candy and taking ten minutes to do it (a really stupid decision to make the person selling food sell tickets). Just because they are understaffed - more minimal investment. I sound like I hate the place - it's just a very poor experience as a movie theatre compared to more modern wants (with reclining seats, easy access, and clean bathrooms). But the films show well and the floor isn't TOO sticky. And it doesn't smell. Faint praise.
